Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the signing of the cinematic metal project DARK SARAH to the label.

DARK SARAH is the new project from Heidi Parviainen [ex. Amberian Dawn]. The debut album called "Behind the Black Veil" leads you through the psychological adventure of Sarah, who is hovering between her two personalities. Dark Sarah's music combines metal, film music and theatrical elements. Sarah's thoughts are at best depicted in the dialogues (duets) with the guests - "The Fate": Manuela Kraller (ex Xandria), "The Queen of No Good": Inga Scharf (Van Canto) and "The Moon": Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica).

Production, orchestrations and mixing was handled by Mikko P. Mustonen, Pathos Music [Delain, Sonata Arctica, Ensiferum] and the album was mastered by Henkka Niemisto, Chartmakers [Volbeat, Sonata Arctica, Korpiklaani]. The artwork was created by Jan Yrlund, Darkgrove Design [Apocalyptica, Ensiferum, Sirenia].

"Behind The Black Veil" will be released on May 8th in Europe and on May 12th in North America.

Q5 Introduces New Guitarist, New CD Coming In 2015

Newly reformed 80s hard rock / heavy metal legends, Q5, best known for their classic debut cd STEEL THE LIGHT(Music For Nations), and its sophomore effort WHEN THE MIRROR CRACKS(Polygram), have secured Washington native, guitar virtuoso, Dennis Turnerto complete their official line-up. Turner steps into the position once occupied by original guitarist, famous guitar tremolo inventor Floyd Rose.

The current line-up consisting of original members Jonathan K. (vocals), Rick Pierce (Guitars) and Evan Sheeley (bass), along with Turner (guitar) and (former Fifth Angel / Nightshade/Heir Apparent) drummer Jeffrey McCormack will make its debut performing in Seattle March 13, then will perform at the Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse Festival in Chicago, Illinois on May 1.

Q5 will then enter the studio this summer to begin recording its new cd, slated for release in late 2015, with tour dates to follow.

Colour of Noise are a classic rock band from Brighton, England. The band describes themselves as "steeped in the tradition of the late 60’s British blues boom and early 70’s stadium rock."

Continuing on, "You might know Colour of Noise singer Matt Mitchell from his band Furyon, or Randy Nixon on drums (Magic Bullet Band, Jeevas, Straw) and Bruce John Dickinson (Little Angels, b.l.o.w). It is our pleasure to introduce to you Dan Electro and ‘Silent’ Ben Daniels on bass.

The songs we write deal with issues of permanence, holding onto what is great in our lives (people and music), coming to terms with change (broken dreams, relationships), trying to retain a sense of yourself in a mad world, and escapism through rock n roll.

The Noise we make is mostly powered by vintage equipment. Not because we’re that stuck on a principle, it just sounds better to our ears. So does recording in the old way.

People have asked us questions about our new band. We are writing and demoing for an album to be released in 2015. We will do gigs in 2015. We would love to see you there and will announce much more detail on April 7th."

BAD COMPANY To Release Deluxe Editions of First Two Albums

Bad Company have recently found the original multi-track tapes from their first two albums and in the process discovered previously unreleased tracks, takes, and mixes from those sessions which form the bonus material on brand new deluxe editions.
Bad Company (1974) and Straight Shooter (1975) have been remastered using the original tapes to create new Deluxe Editions. The two-CD versions include all of the newly discovered bonus tracks, while their 180-gram vinyl counterparts offer as much bonus material as they can fit on a second vinyl record.

The eponymous debut album in deluxe form features the single edit of Can’t Get Enough, b-sides Little Miss Fortune and Easy On My Soul as well as eight previously unreleased recordings such as the demo for The Way I Choose, and an unedited version of Superstar Woman.

Follow up, Straight Shooter (1975) goes even further with 13 previously unreleased tracks and and the b-side Whiskey Bottle. The bonus material here includes a stripped-down version of Shooting Star, and two tracks never released; See The Sunlight and All Night Long.

Bad Company and Straight Shooter deluxe editions are released on 7 April 2015.

British melodic rock icons MAGNUM are releasing a new live album which was recorded at selected venues from their successful “Escape From The Shadow Garden” European tour in the spring of 2014. The set list comprises songs chosen from 7 of their 18 studio albums, the band have produced this album so that fans can fully appreciate the songs penned from Magnum’s beginning, in the 1970s, right up to the present day.

"Escape From The Shadow Garden - Live 2014" will be released in Scandinavia on May 06th, in Germany on May 08th, in Europe on May 11th and in the USA on May 12th as a super jewel case version, double gatefold vinyl version and download through SPV/Steamhammer.

Van Halenâ€™s star was on the rise in late 1979. Vocalist David Lee Roth, bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, and drummer Alex Van Halen had sent sold out crowds into delirium on their wildly successful 1978 and 1979 world tours. They had two platinum albums under their belts, and their latest, Van Halen II, had even cracked the Billboard Top Ten. These were significant achievements for a hard rock band at time when disco and new wave dominated the nationâ€™s airwaves.

Swedish hard rockers REACH will release their debut album, Reach Out To Rock, on March 4, 2015 via Sun Hill Production/Cargo Records. The Reach Out To Rock cover artwork can be seen below.

The album was mixed by sound maestro Pontus Norgren from Hammerfall and Poodles. Recorded & produced by Erik Modin Johannes Hennoks. Artwork design by Morgan Hassel.

In March 2015 the band will join Gus G on his Swedish tour as well as Eclipse on their UK tour ' and not to forget a slot on HRH AOR FESTIVAL.

REACH are:

REACH was put together in 2012 by drummer Marcus Johansson and guitarist Ludvig Turner. Together they started looking for band members to complete the group, and found the remaining band members in bass player David Jones and vocalist Alex Waghorn. Among the first thing REACH did to reveal this new rock band was to arrange a hard rock cover of Avicii's super hit 'Wake me up' in August 2013. A huge success and about one year later the video has over 1.000.000 views AND still counting.

REACH's music can be described as classic rock with strong melodies and hooks, complemented by their youth energy. You can hear influences from Whitesnake, Scorpions,Europe and Gary Moore in the songs. Ludvig also put the melodic rock on the map in Swedish television in 2014 by making his own interpretations of major hits and being among the final four in the Swedish Idol contest.

The band released early 2014 a single 'Black Lady' to show their song writing abilities and proved not being just a cover band. In December 2014 having secured a deal with Sun Hill Production they released a first single 'You Called My Name' from the forthcoming album 'Reach Out To Rock'.

Despite their young age, REACH are already experienced festival performers, having played festivals as HRH (UK), Frontiers (IT), V'sby Rock (SE), Skogsr'jet (SE).
