Rock icons Whitesnake are set to return with their 12th studio album this spring. The Purple Album will be released in Europe on May 15th, the UK on May 18th and in North America on May 19th via Frontiers Music SRL. The Purple Album is a re-imagination of classic songs from David Coverdale’s time as the lead singer for Deep Purple’s Mark 3 and Mark 4 studio albums.

From the opening notes of the classic track "Burn" to album closer "Stormbringer", Whitesnake are back and better than ever. Songs like "Lady Double Dealer", "Soldier of Fortune" and "Sail Away" are given a new energy in the very capable hands of the current Whitesnake line-up featuring David Coverdale on vocals, Reb Beach and Joel Hoekstra on guitars, Michael Devin on bass and Tommy Aldridge on drums.
Whitesnake was formed in England in 1978 by Coverdale. The band has released multi-platinum selling albums throughout the years and have been known for hits such as "Slide It In," "Here I Go Again", "Still Of The Night" and "Is This Love". Whitesnake will hit the road this summer on a headlining world tour.

Formed in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in 2007, and drawing inspiration from an era when rock bands had ‘entertaining an audience’ high on their list of things to do, JETTBLACK unleash incredibly well-crafted and hook laden, powerful melodic rock and roll.
With two albums under their belts ‘Get Your Hands Dirty’ (2010), and ‘Raining Rock’, (2012) plus mini album Black Gold (2013), this four-strong outfit have continued to hone and polish their skills delivering stunning material that has built them a solid and growing fan base as well as a list of high profile admirers and collaborators. Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Udo Dirkschneider (Accept) and Damon Johnson (Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper) have all featured on JETTBLACK releases, sold on the quality and delivery of their songs.
None of JETTBLACK’S songs are conceived to stand in the corner, away from the spotlight; these are BIG, finely-crafted compositions with a built-in swagger, fuelled by the self-belief, passion and next level musicianship.
On the live circuit JETTBLACK have been strutting their stuff around the UK and Europe with sold out shows becoming more and more of a common occurrence. Blowing bands off of the stage is becoming second nature for them, as the live show has hit new heights and an unstoppable energy. Notably they’ve shared the stage with peers such as Papa Roach and appeared at a number of top festivals (Download, T In The Park, Hard Rock Hell, Sonisphere).
The band have now finished writing their third full length album, due for release in April on Cherry Red Records. Unveiling their first single ‘Explode’ vocalist/guitarist Will Stapleton said: “JETTBLACK has always done things their own way. There has never been a conscious effort to write in a certain style or pander to a certain trend or fashion. We’ve always had this attitude as we feel it is the only way to write something that will stand the test of time. This new album 'Disguises' is a full on reflection of that. It’s about never hiding behind something you aren’t. It may feel a little more serious and mature, but I think sometimes people forget we’ve been on a musical journey for 17 years as musicians, so we’re always evolving. UK rock band FM will premiere the video to new single 'Diggin' Up The Dirt' on Tuesday, 24th February. On the same day, the song will be made available as an Instant Grat track with all iTunes and Amazon pre-orders of FM's new album 'Heroes and Villains'.

February 24th 2015 - Guitar virtuoso, singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, and producer Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal has released his 10th CD entitled “Little Brother Is Watching” today. The album is an eccentric, upbeat collection of modern epic rock with haunting melodies, huge choruses and witty lyrics about life in the digital age and beyond. Specifically, his own life and coming to terms with what we all face - beginnings, endings, and moving on. The album was composed, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Bumblefoot at his studio in New Jersey, and also features drummer Dennis Leeflang and a crowd of 100 fans stomping, chanting and singing backing vocals recorded at a listening party in New York.
Bumblefoot has over 20 years of releasing music, performing at international festivals, headlining solo tours, won many album of the month/year awards and has appeared on the covers of numerous music magazines as a solo artist. As lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses, Bumblefoot toured sold-out shows all over the world, headlining festivals with crowds up to 150,000 people. Bumblefoot's unique 'fretless guitar' can be heard throughout GNR's 2008 Chinese Democracy album.

One of the new breed of Scandinavian rock bands, Outlasted picks up the mantle of classic rock and wears it with distinction. A five-piece band based in Norway, Outlasted’s harmonic and melodic lineup comprises Glenn Wikran on vocals, Terje Fløyli playing all manner of guitars, and Odd-Børge Hansen at the piano and keyboards. Craig Heath is set to release his new single, ‘All Because of You’ early next year and it isn’t short of an all-star gathering..
All Because of You was co-written by Australian-born, U.S based, country music legend, Keith Urban, Heath and Monty Powell, the Australian-born country superstar’s regular collaborator, with Rick Springfield stepping in as guest vocalist.
Drawing on personal experiences that forced Heath to get back up again and not accept defeat, All Because of You channels the pain felt during a number of emotional challenges.
“All Because of You is rooted in hope and determination it’s about dusting yourself off and getting back up on your feet again,” says Heath.
“No matter what stage you’re at in your life, there will be times and situations that emotionally challenge you but with the right amount of self-belief and motivation, it’s possible to overcome those challenges and move forward. All Because of You is about the personal journey I encountered during some of the more difficult times in my life.”
The Melbourne-based singer-songwriter has recorded under various guides, including Velvet City and is now back working with his manager, Glenn Wheatley, whom he last worked with in 2006.
All Because of You is the result of Heath coming through the other side, which has made him a stronger and better artist.
“If someone else is going to benefit from the happiness, joy or emotion in the song I’m performing, and that does something for them, that’s a bonus for me. If I can feel the energy in return, that’s great. For me, it’s all about connecting with people through shared experiences.”
Heath pitched the track to US based Springfield chhart topper and Grammy winner with Jessie’s Girl in the early 1980’s and both were blown away by how well ttheir voices sounded together.
“I did a guide vocal fro Springfield and he love it it was an natural fit, one that didn’t need to bbe forced. The connection was there from the beginning”
Heath has had music in his blood since he was a youngster, soaking up melodies and harmonies of Abba, and later, the Doors the heavierr-edged sounds of Nirvana, Metallica, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Three Days Grace, followed shortly after. He’s got Jimi Hendrix and Howling Wolf in his DNA and can swing the axe with the best of them.
Independently driven, Heath has taken charge of his career with the launch of his own label, Global Records – All Because Of You is the first release through the label.
“I want people to relate to me and my experiences and I think All Because of You sums it up nicely,” adds Heath.
All Because of You is set for release in March 2015, with the release of the album following later in the year.
"A 54-year-old Swedish man was found dead inside a hotel room in downtown Rayong on Thursday afternoon, police said. The body of the tourist was found on the floor, with his chin resting on the bed in his room at a Rayong hotel in tambon Tha Pradu, said Pol Lt Thawat Norseeha, a deputy officer at Muang police station. The tourist wore only shorts and there were seven empty bottles of whisky and several empty cans of beer in the room. Police found no traces of a struggle. He was believed to have died at least 24 hours earlier."

It was a hot summer night and the beach was burning Wrong song, wrong place! But the weather gods smiled on Axel Rudi Pell on that memorable magic evening of July 11th 2014: There had been a severe weather alert, but in the end the floodgates of heaven opened only during the last song of his regular set, the Rainbow classic “Long Live Rock´n´Roll“. “That was Ronnie James Dio crying from above,” promoter Horst E. Franz speculated while bidding his farewells to the almost 15.000 drenched- but-happy fans at the festival site.
Three hours before the sun went down, creating a beautiful atmosphere at the ´Bang Your Head´ festival in Balingen/Germany, where Axel Rudi Pell celebrated his 25th anniversary as a solo artist with a once-in-a-life-time performance. The CDs and DVDs document a show that is unlikely to ever be seen again in this constellation - a special present the protagonist had worked hard for. It took almost a year to set everything up: “The actual organisation started in the summer of 2014 when the promoter and I went public with the idea of this event,”Axel tells with obvious relief. He´s still happy about how things have turned out. With a little help from his friends at his booking agency, the Bochum guitarist set up an extraordinary line-up. “It was mostly all about personal contacts”, because after more than 30 years in the business Axel Rudi Pell is not only well-known, but also well-respected in the worldwide rock community, so the affix “& Friends“ is not one of those usual exaggerations. Almost all of his favoured candidates agreed on this one July date.
As Axel is an early bird, the whole organisation was fairly easy. Of course there were rehearsals, but only one day before the show. Over fifty minutes worth of footage from those remarkable sessions are featured on the DVD and Blu-ray versions of this package. During those sessions Axel realized that something unique was happening. “Everybody involved had a blast and was right on track,” he remembers. Unfortunately, Doogie White had a prior engagement with Michael Schenker on that rehearsal day, but was replaced with ARP frontman Johnny Gioeli. And except for Charlie Huhn, who had already agreed to play a gig in the USA with his current band Foghat, Axel´s former singers turned out in full force: Rob Rock (1991) and Jeff Scott Soto (1991-1997) together with long-time ARP drummer Joerg Michael (until 1998) took the stage by storm after a historical four-song Steeler reunion at the beginning of the show.
Axel´s current line-up put on a best-of show with a blisteringly atmospheric version of the Neil Young classic “Hey Hey My My“ and a few epic ARP classics like “Mystica“, “The Masquerade Ball“, “Casbah“ and “Into The Storm“. You could feel those goose bumps spring up, and the climax was still to come: after a furioso battle between drum gods Vinny Appice and Bobby Rondinelli, a long list of rock legends took the Balingen stage: stepping in for Joe Lynn Turner, who was tied up with business affairs, Pretty Maids frontman Ronnie Atkins performed a superb version of Deep Purple´s “Black Night“, including audience sing along. Then John Lawton, the former voice of Uriah Heep, demonstrated why he still deserves a lot of “Sympathy“ (Uriah Heep), and he was still looking for some “Tush“ (ZZ Top). When ex-Rainbow keyboard player Tony Carey joined in for an emotional “Mistreated“, the now available Doogie White and Johnny Gioeli set the roof on fire. Graham Bonnet, another Rainbow veteran from the glorious “Down To Earth“ era, remembered the good old times with “Since You Been Gone“ and, of course, the aforementioned “Long Live Rock´n´Roll“. At the end of those three hours plus all guests (and friends!) gathered on stage for the grand finale “Smoke On The Water“. A legendary evening drew to a spectacular close. Are you happy, Axel? “Of course! I could have played at least for another hour.” Did anything go wrong? Notthing, but there was no way we could have prevented those long change-overs in between.“ But at least the weather gods smiled

RAVEN are that rare thing in music, true originals cut these guys with a razor and they will bleed true heavy metal - a more intense live band does not exist on this planet!
Hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne in North East England back in 1974 (yes 41 years ago!) the brothers Gallagher cuut their teeth playing the pubs & clubs until solidifying their line up in 1980 with drummer Rob Hunter. The trio went on to release three of the most influential metal albums of the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) on the Neat records label which in turn inspired every band of that era and beyond. Basically, without Raven you just would not have thrash/speed metal. after all, the band did give Metallica & Anthrax their first tours! Following a tumultous move to the USA, deals with Atlantic Records, indentured servitude and commercialism, Rob left the band in 1987 to be replaced by drummer extraordinaire Joe Hasselvander, who had made his name in cult doom band Pentagram, Savoy Brown and his own solo projects, adding a new dimension to the band. Rebuilding from the Atlantic experiences, the band capitalized on their fierce live performances steadily releasing albums and touring the world. In 2001, guitarist Mark Gallagher was involved in a near fatal accident - but fought his way back from the brink and the band proved they were stronger than ever! This renewed spirit and attitude was reflected in the title of their 2010 album “Walk Through Fire” and in the career overview DVD “Rock Until You Drop”. In a cynical musical landscape these days, where bands are not “gangs” but corporations...where albums and live shows are click tracked & pro-tooled to death where a band s line up can change every few months with “hired guns” who float in and out -RAVEN are almost alone among their peers in that they boast a lineup featuring the same three guys a line up that has been stable for the better parrt of three decades! RAVEN are a band that is real not fake – and proud of it!
Our “three musketeers” have had an exciting 2014 opening for Metallica (the band Raven took on their first tour back in 1983) in Sao Paulo in front of 70,000 fans, and completeing a 43 date headlining USA tour – not to mention completing their finest album to date "ExtermiNattion” slated for an April 2015 release worldwide on SPV/Steamhammer! This album combines the melody/chaos/musicianship/lunacy that defines the band with songs that are simply the best they have done in decades. As recently announced, Metal Mind Productions extended the recording deal with the British heavy metal legend - TANK. Through the years, Metal Mind have re-released the band's back catalogue and released their recent albums “War Machine” (2010) and “War Nation” (2012). TANK’s forthcoming album titled “Valley of Tears” is scheduled for release on June, 8th in Europe and June, 9th in North America (via MVD).
Cliff Evans, TANK’s guitarist, comments: "The title comes from the famous Tank battle during the 1973 Yom Kippur War where one side was massively outnumbered but fought on regardless and against all odds secured a heroic victory. We feel that our style of metal is slowly disappearing and now we must also fight against the odds to keep it alive. Frontiers Music SRL is honored to present a special tribute album conceived by iconic GrammyAward winner and founding member of Ides of March, Survivor and Pride of Lions,Jim Peterik, featuring an impressive array of guest musicians. The CD, titled Torch: The Music Remembers Jimi Jamison and Fergie Frederiksen, will be limited to 500 copies, to be sold exclusively at the Frontiers Rock Festival II, held at the Live Club in Trezzo sull'Adda in Milan, Italy on April 11 and 12, 2015. Frontiers and all participating artists have donated their services and the recorded masters, with 100%of all proceeds to benefitSt. Jude Children's Research Hospital and The American Liver Foundation.
Just as the musical influence of Dennis “Fergie” Frederiksen (of Le Roux, Angel, Toto, Frederiksen /Phillips, Mecca) and Jimi Jamison (of Target, Cobra and Survivor) reverberated inside the melodic rock community, news of their passing within months of one another in 2014 sent waves of disbelief and sorrow throughout the brotherhood of singers, songwriters and musicians who had been touched by their talent and their spirit. The loss so profoundly impacted Peterik's core that it was difficult at first to imagine a universe in which their lights no longer shined. After filtering his grief through the cathartic process of songwriting, Jim found solace by gathering a group of mutual friends to commemorate their departed comrades the only way they knew how – with music.
Peterik recently produced and co-wrote the debut album Risk Everything to introduce the world to the stunning, 5-octave tenor of singer Marc Scherer, who will appear onstage with headliners Pride of Lions at the Frontiers Rock Festival II. Scherer is a featured performer on Torch: The Music Remembers Jimi Jamison andFergie Frederiksen, along with stars like Kelly Keagy of Night Ranger, Bill Champlin of Chicago, David Pack from Ambrosia, Mike Reno of Loverboy, Bobby Kimball of Toto, Bruce Gaitsch of Chicago, Alessandro DelVecchio of Hardline, Ricky Phillips of Styx.
As Peterik explains, 'Hopefully, these songs and heartfelt performances will bring healing to all those suffering losses in their lives, as well as serve as a celebration of life itself.'
The album is comprised of four new songs and six rare, alternate or previously unreleased versions of existing songs (some never before heard in Europe), along with six classics distilled from Jimi and Fergie's most recent releases on the Frontiers label.
Passionate and intensely personal, this collection speaks to the heart of anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Torch: The Music Remembers Jimi Jamison and Fergie Frederiksen resists the temptation to wallow in sadness, choosing instead to joyously celebrate two beautiful souls who made the world a better place through the transcendent, healing power of song.
