Jimmy Kay from The Metal Voice (https://www.facebook.com/themetalvoice) spoke to former Ozzy Drummer Lee Kerslake in Anaheim California at this years annual Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala Jan 23 2019, where Kerslake was inducted and presented the two platinum Ozzy Discs.

When asked how he got to California to be inducted
"The phone rang about month and a half ago, it was Pat Guesaldo CEO of the Hall of Heavy Metal History and he said we would like to induct you into the Hall. Pat said we would love to have you in California for the Gala but I said I am on a pension and I can't afford it. Pat then said what if we take care of it for you . Then I said without sounding like a Deva I can't travel coach cause I have arthritis and bone cancer. Then Pat said no worries we are going to fly you first class. I nearly broke down and cried. I finally got to California, the flight took 10 hours and when I landed I said to myself, I MADE IT, I haven't done this for 22 years."

When asked about his reaction to finally receiving the platinum discs from Ozzy and Sharon and a personal letter
" We were filming me packing for California on my upcoming autobiography documentary and then my manager came in and said I have a surprise delivery for you and he brought in these two big boxes and they were the two platinum Ozzy discs, it was a crying moment. We finally buried the hatchet between the Osbournes and myself. I respect Sharon and I love Ozzy to bits. Ozzy also sent me back a beautiful letter hand written."

When asked about his current health situation
"The cancer has come back unfortunately, it has come back with a vengeance but I am not worried about it at the moment I am  enjoying this moment and all the love. I am having a great time. My doctor told me before I left they will be putting me on a new drug and I am hopeful."

Jimmy Kay and Alan Dixon from Canada's The Metal Voice ( https://www.facebook.com/themetalvoice) recently spoke to former Gary MooreOzzy Osbourne , Rainbow, bassist Bob Daisley about his new tribute album to former guitarist Gary Moore.  Which was released on October 26 via earMUSIC"Moore Blues for Gary - A Tribute To Gary Moore"

Watch here
https://youtu.be/GQ6M2YREsIA

Daisley talks about Gary Moore's career, the participants on the Gary Moore tribute album, Moore' preference of Ozzy guitarists and when Moore turned down Ozzy as his frist choice for  guitarist when Ozzy got fired from Black Sabbath.

When asked about the time Ozzy wanted Gary Moore as his guitarist prior to Randy Rhoads
"Ozzy never wanted to replace Randy Rhoads with Gary Moore, Gary Moore was Ozzy's first choice. When Ozzy was in Los Angeles after he got fired from Black Sabbath and he was thinking of putting a band together his first choice was Gary Moore. Gary Moore didn't want to work with Ozzy because of Ozzy's reputation with drugs and booze being unreliable and unprofessional. Gary said I will help you find  a guitarist or if you find a guitarist that you want my opinion on I will help you that way. "

When asked about which Ozzy guitarist Gary Moore preferred
"One thing I would like to add is that Gary rated Jake E Lee very high he said, Saying I  think Jake E Lee is one of the best guitariist Ozzy ever had. "

When asked about his and Lee Kerslake's induction into The Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala in January 23 2019 for their contributions to Ozzy's Blizzard of Ozz and  Diary of a Madman
"That is great it really puts the icing on the cake. I spoke to Lee Last week about it and he is over the moon because Lee is not having a good time at the moment he has some bad health issues and we don;t know how much longer Lee is going to be around, he can go in a few months we don;t know. So for this to happen for Lee it means a lot for him and it means a lot for me. it's something that's really really nice to have. "
John Sykes (ex-THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE) does a rendition of "Still Got The Blues", with the soulful vocals by Daniel Bowes (THUNDER) complementing each other.
"Parisienne Walkways" is played by Steve Morse (DEEP PURPLE, DIXIE DREGS) and Ricky Warwick (THIN LIZZY, BLACK STAR RIDERS, THE ALMIGHTY).

OZZY OSBOURNE
ANNOUNCES
"NO MORE TOURS 2"
NORTH AMERICAN DATES
WITH PRESS CONFERENCE AT HIS LOS ANGELES HOME

SHOWS ARE PART OF THE
ROCK ICON'S FINAL GLOBAL TOUR
AND WILL CELEBRATE
FIVE DECADES OF PERFORMING
WITH TWO-YEAR WORLD TOUR

TICKETS GO ON SALE SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17 AT

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE earlier today (February 6) revealed details about his forthcoming "NO MORE TOURS 2," a reference to his 1992 "No More Tours" trek.  The announcement by the legendary musical icon about the North American dates--with his longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (Guitar), Blasko (Bass), Tommy Clufetos (Drums) and Adam Wakeman (Keyboards)--was made to international media in attendance at his Los Angeles home.

The initial North American dates produced by Live Nation kick off August 30 in Allentown, PA and conclude October 13 in Las Vegas, NV with a Thursday, October 11 stop at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles; OZZY will be joined by Stone Sour for this leg of the tour.  Tickets for these shows go on sale to the general public starting Saturday, February 17 at 10:00 AM (local time) at LiveNation.com and through the Live Nation app.  Citi® is the official presale credit card of the tour. As such, Citi® cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Wednesday, February 14 at 10:00 AM (local time) until Friday, February 16 at 10:00 PM (local time) through Citi's Private Pass® program. For complete presale details visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

Prior to the full North American run, OZZY will officially launch the "NO MORE TOURS 2" in Mexico in May, before heading to South America for solo shows in three countries.  Next up, a six-week European leg of headlining solo dates and festival performances that's set to begin Friday, June 1 in Moscow, Russia.

"I've been extremely blessed to have had two successful music careers," OSBOURNE says.  "I'm looking at this final tour as being a huge celebration for my fans and anyone who has enjoyed my music over the past five decades."

On his upcoming farewell world tour, produced by Live Nation, OSBOURNE will celebrate more than five decades as a performer (both as a solo artist and as lead singer of Black Sabbath which formed in 1968).  This tour, expected to take OZZY around the world with dates into 2020, will mark the end of global touring for the legendary artist, though he will continue to perform select live shows in the future.  Throughout his career, OZZY has sold more than 100 million records.

Want to hear more about the OZZY tour from the Prince of Darkness himself?  OZZY has partnered with Ticketmaster to spread the word about the tour with a new message on the Ticketmaster app for the Google Assistant on phones, speakers like Google Home and other compatible devices. Fans can trigger the app by saying, "Hey Google, talk to Ticketmaster," which will offer special messages from the Prince of Darkness himself. Fans will then be invited by Sharon Osbourne to hear details about OZZY's upcoming Live Nation tour dates. This new marketing tool expands the ways for OZZY's millions of fans to find out about his tour and provides a fun, first of its kind experience.

For the tour, OZZY has teamed with the LOVE, HOPE, STRENGTH, FOUNDATION.  At Love Hope Strength (LHS), their mission is to save lives, one concert at a time.  We, along with Love Hope Strength, believe that all people deserve quality cancer care, a marrow donor if needed, and most importantly, hope.  Founded by cancer survivors, LHS leverages the power of music to expand the marrow registry through THEIR "Get on the List" campaign.  At LHS, they believe in offering real hope to people currently living with cancer.

OZZY OSBOURNE And ZAKK WYLDE Reunite For 2017 Tour

Artist:
Categories:
Tour News

Rock fans rejoice!

For the first time in more than a decade, OZZY OSBOURNE and Zakk Wylde are together again.

Known as one of rock's most lethal singer and guitarist pairings, the two will hit the road for a series of OZZY headlining shows in the U.S. this summer and fall, beginning July 14 (*see dates below).  While they've performed together over the years, these shows are the first collaboration for the duo for a full tour since 2006.  These dates also mark OZZY's first solo tour in the U.S. in years beyond one OZZY & Friends performance at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans, LA in October 2015.

OZZY and Zakk first teamed up 30 years ago when Zakk (who OZZY describes as "a f***ing absolutely amazing guitar player") joined OZZY's band in 1987; they last recorded in 2007 on OZZY's acclaimed BLACK RAIN album.

In addition to reuniting with Zakk Wylde on guitar, OZZY's band will include longtime collaborators Blasko (Bass), Tommy Clufetos (Drums) and Adam Wakeman (Keyboards)OZZY's tour dates kick off in July at the Rock USA Festival in Oshkosh, WI with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

"I'm so happy to be getting back on the road with Zakk, Blasko, Tommy and Adam," says OZZY OSBOURNE.  "This is what I do.  This is where I belong, on the road."

"I'm really looking forward to The HARDCORE POWAHLIFTING TRAINING SESSIONS with OZZY as well as playing music in between sets of HEAVY SQUATS, BENCHING and DEADLIFTS," Zakk Wylde adds.

Next up for OZZY: prepping for a new solo album for 2018 on Epic.

OZZY's initial 2017 tour dates are as follows:

July
Fri, July 14         Oshkosh, WI       Rock USA Festival
Sun, July 16       Chicago, IL         Chicago Open Air Festival

OZZY OSBOURNE Storms America With Blizzard of Ozz 35 Years Ago

Artist:
Wednesday, November 26, 2014
Categories:
Podcasts & Radio

Dallas, TX - March 15, 2016. North American syndicated Rock radio show and website InTheStudio: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands  hosts Ozzy Osbourne on the 35th anniversary of his best-selling solo debut Blizzard of Ozz.

Having been fired by Britain's heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath, by 1980 Ozzy Osbourne was, for all practical purposes, washed up. Ozzy found himself with low self esteem and a raging drug and alcohol problem. If not for the heroic actions of his then-manager and future wife Sharon Arden, Ozzy would never have been offered the chance to clean up his act and hold auditions for a new band, where he discovered a diminutive 25-year old guitarist, Randy Rhoads, who inspired Osbourne.

After waiting nearly six months for Blizzard of Ozz to be released in the US, Ozzy's 'Crazy Train' nearly derailed his solo career with two of the most notorious incidents ever in rock history, including a shocking stunt in a record company conference room involving a live dove. Ozzy explains to InTheStudio host Redbeard what happened.

'So Sharon (manager) says to me 'We've got to make an impression.' She says, 'I want you to go into the board room, take these two doves, and throw them up in the air as a peace offering.' So, I drank a bottle of booze in the morning and said, 'I'll make an impression.'  - Ozzy Osbourne.

Nevertheless Osbourne would end up selling over four million copies in the US alone while helping to define the '80s pop-metal movement with classics 'Crazy Train', 'Mr. Crowley', 'I Don't Know' , and 'Suicide Solution'.  Additionally in this interview, Ozzy makes a passionate plea for anyone struggling with substance abuse to seek free help.

BLACK SABBATH Wraps Up Leg One of 'The End' Tour

BLACK SABBATH
WRAP LEG ONE OF
"THE END" WORLD TOUR

SECOND RUN OF NORTH AMERICAN DATES
TO GET UNDERWAY AUGUST 17 AT
NIKON AT JONES BEACH THEATER
IN WANTAGH, NY

Ozzy Osbourne (Vocals), Tony Iommi (Guitar) and Geezer Butler (Bass) wrapped the first dates of BLACK SABBATH's massive 2016 THE END world tour last week (3/7) in Vancouver, BC to an overwhelming response, from fans and critics alike.  The first leg of sold-out North American shows will be followed by a run of summer performances including return visits to Los Angeles (at the iconic Hollywood Bowl), New York, Chicago and 14 additional cities.  Tickets for the summer shows are available at www.Livenation.com.  See BLACK SABBATH's world wide itinerary below.

Here's some critical feedback from 2016's THE END tour:

"From the pulverizing opening tritone of 'Black Sabbath'...the show was more a celebration of the pioneering heavy-metal band's legacy than an epitaph...each of the musicians was in stellar form in Chicago...now may be the beginning of the end for Black Sabbath, but, as they proved in Chicago and over the years, their music will echo through the ages."
--Kory Grow, ROLLINGSTONE.COM, 1-23-16

"The beginning of The End happened Friday in Chicago at the United Center, where the band played a two-hour set of snarling hard rock songs, played according to the rules of strict minimalism but always with brawny execution...Black Sabbath remains a genre of its own, combining space jazz and prog-rock, gothic imagery and riff-heavy thunder."
--Mark Guarino, THEGUARDIAN.COM, 1-23-16

"The iconic rockers were able to bid farewell in style...If this was truly the band's last show in Washington, the quartet had left its fans with a night they'll never forget."
--Ernest Jasmin,TACOMA WEEKLY, 2-8-16

"Sabbath sounded so strong that, at times, it seemed like an absolutely ludicrous idea for these guys to even be thinking about hanging it up. Yet, if the goal is to go out on top--in peak fighting form--then Sabbath is right on track."
--Jim Harrington, SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 2-10-16

"Osbourne was confidently strutting the length of the stage, imploring the audience to clap along...Osbourne led the band through classics like 'War Pigs' and 'Children of the Grave,' exuding bravado and, often, joy.  The night didn't belong to Ozzy, though. While bassist Geezer Butler remains rock-solid...Iommi's effortless leads and power-chord riffs laid the groundwork for generations of hard-rocking axe-slingers, yet his attack still sounds fresh and resonant, and his vibrato-laden shreds are as precise as they were four decades ago..."
--Jeff Miller, BILLBOARD.com, 2-13-16

"Black Sabbath put on as perfect of a farewell show at the Pepsi Center [in Denver] as you could have hoped for. They played, sounded and yes, sung as well as they did in their prime...Instead of leaning on theatrics, they let tight riffs take the audience away...Their astonishing performance Monday night proved the band to be going out with remarkable live chops."
--Mike Long, DENVER POST, 2-16-16

"One of the strongest live rock shows in recent memory...Sabbath performed the music with such power and conviction that songs many of us have heard ad nauseam seemed fresh and new...The fluid rhythms, the interlocking, crushing dynamics between the rhythm section, and Iommi and Osbourne's uncanny ability to switch in and out of the role of avatar of doom and avuncular hype man, rousing the crowd, made for a show that was much more than merely a great performance. It felt inclusive."
--Tom Murphy, WESTWORD(Denver, CO), 2-16-16

"Black Sabbath turned its The End farewell tour into a celebration--albeit one steeped in a little bit of Satanic mechanics...the 100-minute, 14-song show was standard issue Sabbath--Spartan and leaden hard rock played with tight precision."
--Gary Graff, THE OAKLAND PRESS (Detroit, MI), 2-20-16

"Black Sabbath, from Birmingham, England, was foundational for metal, but the music it played on Thursday--all of it recorded between 1969 and 1976--is full of scales related to the blues, which has its own long tradition of despair masking joy. That joy on Thursday was in sound and feeling. You could hear the band in giant, clear, present detail, unusual for the Garden..."
Ben Ratliff, NEW YORK TIMES, 2-26-16

"...he [Osbourne] was on fire last night, hitting all the notes exactly the way you remember them. All the stretched out vowels, all the 'ohh yeahh!'s, everything. In even finer form was Tony Iommi, whose riffs were as crisp today as they are on the early records, and whose solos still screamed. No disrespect to Geezer Butler of course, who shined all night and especially on his bass solo in 'N.I.B.'...There really wasn't a moment where you weren't hearing some of the best heavy metal ever written...The show was also a serious reminder of how even with legions of excellent doom bands popping up for decades, still nobody can do it like Sabbath."
--Andrew Sacher, BROOKLYN VEGAN, 2-27-16

"If this in fact was the end for Black Sabbath, then it was one hell of a farewell."
--Dean Pilling, CALGARY SUN, 3-5-16

"Black Sabbath were magnificent...what sets Black Sabbath's music apart is how fresh it still sounds...a night free of stage effects or gimmicks, packed with a selection of brilliantly performed songs from the best heavy metal band there ever was and ever will be."
Robert Collins, CTV NEWS VANCOUVER, 3-8-16

These dates mark the end of the epic journey that BLACK SABBATH began nearly five decades ago.  The massive 2016 THE END world tour by the greatest Metal Band of all time will take the band to Australia and New Zealand in April, then Europe fora mix of summer headlining and festival performances, before returning to North America in August.

As previously announced, a special fans-only CD featuring original artwork by Shepard Fairey/Obey Giant is being sold at shows along the tour route.  The CD is comprised of eight previously unreleased tracks: four songs are outtakes from BLACK SABBATH's worldwide #1, Grammy Award-winning album 13 and four live songs from the band's critically acclaimed 13 World Tour.

When this tour concludes, it will truly be THE END, THE END of one of most legendary bands in Rock 'n Roll history...BLACK SABBATH.

BLACK SABBATH TRIUMPHANTLY RETURN TO NORTH AMERICA DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND, "THE END" TOUR EXTENDED INTO FALL 2016 WITH ADDITIONAL NORTH AMERICAN SHOWS

Due to overwhelming demand, the road to THE END just got longer.

On the heels of their much-anticipated performances in North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, BLACK SABBATH will end the epic journey they began nearly five decades ago with another run of North American dates in fall 2016.  These shows will follow a mix of summer headlining and festival performances throughout Europe.

The second run of North American dates kicks off August 17 at Jones Beach Amphitheater in New York and includes stops at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (where the band last performed a sold-out show on their wildly successful 13 world tour in 2014), Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, Detroit, and Dallas, among others, before wrapping September 21 at AK-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, AZ.

The massive 2016 world tour by the greatest Metal Band of all time marks THE END for Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler as they close the final chapter in the final volume of the incredible BLACK SABBATH story with this tour.  BLACK SABBATH's THE END farewell tour promises to surpass all previous tours and will feature the band's most mesmerizing production ever.

When this tour concludes, it will truly be THE END, THE END of one of most legendary bands in Rock 'n Roll history...BLACK SABBATH

OSBOURNE's ongoing solo career spans four decades--as both a successful solo artist and as the lead singer of Black Sabbath--and his music is as relevant today as ever; it still resonates daily on TV, in movies, on radio and at stadium sports events. OZZY’s latest solo release--his tenth studio album, 2010’s Scream--debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard charts, featuring the No. 1 Mainstream Rock smash “Let Me Hear You Scream.”

From the first notes of OZZY’s 1980’s solo debut Blizzard Of Ozz and follow-up Diary Of A Madman to classic albums No More Tears and Scream, no hard rock solo artist has had quite the same reach as OZZY; his distinctive vocal delivery and larger than life onstage persona quickly endeared him to millions of rockers.  OZZY immediately had the attention of fans of heavy music with rock staples “Crazy Train,” “Mr. Crowley” and “Flying High Again.”  With the 1991 release No More Tears, OZZY continued his radio success with acclaimed and hugely successful singles “No More Tears” and the smash hit “Mama, I'm Coming Home.”

1. Crazy Train

Some selections have appeared on long out-of-print VHS releases; others will be seen here for the first time, making this an essential package for fans old and new.
