Jessica Wolff is a young Finnish artist, ready to hit the radio waves and bring her voice to the stage. But there’s much more. When Jessica is off stage, she is writing lyrics, practicing Kung-Fu, doing stunt work, acting, motorbiking and other extreme sports to let the inner child out. Not to mention, behind the actions of this adrenaline junkie, you'll find a warmhearted girl with striking personality. You can hear all these abilities in her music and are also evident in her powerful music videos. Her high energy, guitar-driven pop music is spiced with everything from catchy melodies to thought-provoking lyrics.

Jessica started singing classical music when she was 12 years old, but found her way to Pop/Rock a few years later. At the age of 21, Jessica left her studies behind to focus full-time on her musical career. With big steps she climbed up the latter until the album "Renegade" was born to see the daylight in Japan and Finland in April 2013, as well as in India, where she also did a six city, Hard Rock Café tour in December 2013. After that she played some shows in Finnish prisons.

With her new album "Grounded“ she takes the next step in her career. For the first time her music will be available world-wide and Jessica is ready to hit every stage, pub, club, big venue, to perform and promote her music wherever people want to hear it!

There will be videos for the songs "War“, "Love Me Like you Never Did Before“, “Magic Castle” and "Saving Someone Else“!

As the former lead vocalist and keyboards player for the American Classic and Progressive rock band Kansas, Steve Walsh is the voice behind the hits 'Carry on my Wayward Son', 'Point of Know Return', 'Dust in the Wind' and 'All I Wanted'. As a songwriter Steve is well known for penning a classic tune and his wide range of musical influences can be heard on his previous solo releases as well as the melodic rock band 'Streets'. He has also contributed his vocal talents to more than a dozen projects by other artists covering a variety of musical genres.

Steve is well known for his dynamic live performances, passionate vocals and multi instrumental talents on stage. In addition to keyboards Steve has played Congas, Harmonica, Glockenspiel, in short, an all-round great musician.

Through their good friend Mike Slamer (Streets / Steelhouse Lane) Mike introduced Steve to Khalil and they hit it off instantly and Khalil invited Steve to guest on Radioactive 'F4UR' album to sing one song and after that he was delighted to record an album for the label.

Khalil had a few ideas and one of which was to involve a singer called Jerome Mazza to sing duet on 'Born In Fire'.. Khalil had discovered Jerome on you tube singing for the band 'Pinnacle Point'. Jerome is also the voice behind the second album by Angelica and was honoured to be asked to sing a duet on the album with Steve and asked if he could contribute more. As Jerome has such a fantastic voice it was an easy decision to make and the result is explosive!

Black Butterfly is everything you would expect it to be from someone like Steve Walsh, the man is a legend and this album oozes quality from start to finish. This is the album everyone is talking about, and its finally here...

OPERATION MINDCRIME Release 'The New Reality' December 1

Friday, December 1, 2017
Categories:
News Feed

Frontiers Music Srl To Release Operation: Mindcrime's “The New Reality” on December 1.

“The New Reality” is the third and final chapter in the musical trilogy from iconic metal vocalist Geoff Tate (Official) that follows a little over one year after the release of the second chapter, "Resurrection", in 2016 and about two years after the first chapter, "The Key". Operation: Mindcrime is a creative platform that continues in the spirit of the historic album of the same name, spawning concepts as grand as the music, and intertwining the intensity of the former Queensrÿche vocalist's iconic past with the provocative, progressive mindset that has made him one of music's most resolute forces and frontmen. Joined by a cast of musicians, Kelly Gray, John Moyer, Simon Wright, Scott Mercado, Scott Moughton, Brian Tichy, & Mike Ferguson, whose talent and resumes speak volumes for the quality of musicianship that will be on display here, “The New Reality” is a another fine progressive rock/metal entry from Tate.

Geoff Tate sold more than 25 million records at the helm of Queensryche, the band he fronted for 30 years from their inception through 2012, earning three Grammy nominations, five MTV Music Video Award nominations, and one MTV Music Video Award along the way. The landmark concept album "Operation: Mindcrime" thrust Tate's unique social consciousness, style and expertly crafted lyrics into the national spotlight in 1988, and was followed by "Empire" in 1990, the album that delivered Queensryche to arena-headlining status and sold more than 3 million albums on the back of hit singles and radio staples, "Silent Lucidity" and "Jet City Woman." By the time the band released "Promised Land" in 1994, Geoff Tate was universally acknowledged as one of the greatest frontmen in rock and metal, and a driving force behind one of the most innovative bands in mainstream music. From "Operation: Mindcrime to "Promised Land" through 2009's overlooked gem "American Soldier" - Tate's ambitious concept album that explores the consequences of war as told through the voices of veterans - Tate's 13 album tenure with Queensryche was marked by exploration, intrigue, bold risks and gratifying results. “The New Reality” carries on that musically adventurous tradition.

"Okay so it's been seven years since our last release but it feels more like "Seven Days"! Well, it does take time to make a new baby, right? And boy do we have a new arrival for you. 🙂 No really, every band says the same old cliche when releasing a new record... "This is the best record we have ever done!" LOL! I can promise that it will be an absolute MONSTER!! With thunderous guitar riffs, soaring solos, catchy vocal melodies, all tied in with a powerful and tight rhythm section, it will surely make this another MASS classic!

It has all the makings of a MASS album that everyone has come to expect and love from us over the years. You will have your fast rockers, mid tempo tunes and a few power ballads highlighting once again Mass' versatility. The new album is tentatively titled, "When Two Worlds Collide" and we are excited and look forward to our 8th studio album release, and third on the Escape Music label, due out sometime later this year. AOR Heaven News: CODE RED, MIDNITE CITY & STATE OF ROCK

STATE OF ROCK return in late 2018 with new album!
The meeting of minds in Nurnberg; Germany in 2009, through the brainstorm of Georg Siegl of AOR Heaven Records, sported an album, ‘Point of Destiny’, recorded and written by four European musicians; three from Germany and an English vocalist. Georg’s passion for Frontline guitarist, Robby Boebel to record again brought forth an album with Hutch Bauer on bass, Ramy Ali on the kit and Tony Mills (ex-SHY, TNT) on vocals.

The result was a melodic but very tough sounding album with solid production and songs that demanded a replay.
2017/18, sees a return to new recordings, by, ‘State of Rock’, now split between the UK with Pete Newdeck on drums and Mills being Sweden based, co-writing with Boebel for a second release. Robby Boebel comments: “It’s something really special to record an album with someone which I only knew from TV before. We’ve now been friends since many years and I’m really looking forward to record another album and live dates in late 2018 with Tony.”

With the promise of German festival appearances in late 2018, an autumn release guided by video and radio promo will give us a clearer picture of the, ‘State of Rock’, by December next year.

MIDNITE CITY were formed in January 2017 by current Tigertailz front-man (and former Vega, Steevi Jaimz and Teenage Casket Company member and songwriter) Rob Wylde.

Wylde sang, played guitar and bass on the recordings whilst producer Pete Newdeck played drums, provided backing vocals and took care of the production. Wylde also brought in newcomer guitarist Miles Meakin who played  guitar solos on the recordings and former band mate James Martin (Vega) who laid down keyboards on the tracks. After being mixed by Newdeck, the songs were sent to Harry Hess (Harem Scarem) who mastered them at his studio in Canada.
The band’s self-titled debut album will be released on AOR Heaven on October 20th, 2017!

Swedish AOR hopefuls CODE RED have released a new video for the track “Heat Of The Night”, taken from the album “Incendiary” which will be released on AOR Heaven on October 20th, 2017.

CODE RED is the new Swedish AOR sensation led by singer/song-writer Ulrick Lönnqvist (ex SAHARA). The singer teamed up with co-writers Morgan Jensen (Swedish Erotica) and Michael Palace (Palace, Big Time), and along with lead guitarist Oscar Bromvall (Palace, Erika) and keyboard player Kaspar Dahlqvist (Shadowquest, Dionysus) the line-up was complete.

CYHRA Bursts Onto The Melodic Metal Scene

Artist:
Friday, October 20, 2017
Categories:
News Feed

When it comes to unearthing new heavy music that will stand the test of time, it always pays to observe what the experts are doing. A four-man testament to hard work and creative excellence, Cyhra showcases the pooling of a huge quantity of modern metal talent. Formed in 2016 by long-time friends ex-Amaranthe vocalist Jake E and former In Flames guitarist Jesper Strömblad, these vital veterans are about to light a fire under the contemporary metal scene that promises to blaze for decades to come. The band’s immaculate debut album, Letters To Myself, is the end result of an artistic partnership that was, as Jake E explains, plainly meant to be.

“At the beginning of 2016, Jesper and me sat down to have a cup of coffee, and we were discussing what we wanted to do with our respective careers. Jesper said that he was going to go and record a solo album and I was saying that I was actually walking the same path, although I didn’t know if I was going to leave Amaranthe or just do something completely different. Jesper asked me if I’d be interested in singing on his solo album and then I more or less asked him the same thing, would he play on my solo album? Then we discussed what kind of music we each wanted to do, and after ten minutes Jesper stood up and said ‘What the fuck? We want to do exactly the same thing! Let’s start a band instead!’ That’s how it all started. A couple of months later I decided to leave Amaranthe, and this became my main priority.”

Completing this insanely gifted quartet are former In Flames bassist Peter Iwers and Alex Landenburg, current drummer with power metal titans Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody and a former member of thrash legends Annihilator. As the explosive and exhilarating songs on Letters To Myself reveal, the chemistry between these four musicians has been instant and extraordinary. Sometimes all the pieces of the puzzle just fall into place…

“I always had Alex in my mind for the drum position,” says Jake. “We always bumped into each other when I was out touring. I said to Jesper, ‘I know this guy and you’re going to love him!’ I sent two or three songs to Alex and he loved them and became a member of the band almost right away! We were almost at the point of talking with labels when we thought that maybe Peter would like to be involved too. He was still in In Flames at that point, but he wanted to join. He decided to leave In Flames a couple of months later, but that had nothing to do with us asking him to join Cyhra. But suddenly we had a steady line-up! It was fun that Jesper and Peter ended up in the same band again, too… that’s pretty cool.”

Although by no means repeating past glories, Cyhra’s debut album undoubtedly features plenty of the magic that each member of the band has become known for over the years. From the blissfully melodic thrust of Jesper Strömblad’s riffs and hooks and the soaring, soulful splendour of Jake E’s unmistakable voice to the pummelling, groove-driven precision of Peter Iwers and Alex Landenburg’s rhythmic bedrock, every last moment crackles with the excitement of fresh territory, new challenges and a brand new identity for all involved to embrace.
An album of concise anthems, every one of them blessed with a huge chorus, Letters To Myself sets out this band’s stall in no uncertain terms: from the high energy riffing and skittering groove of opener Karma and the monstrous power and melodic finesse of Heartrage through to the overwhelming emotional thrust of grand ballad Closure and the pop-tinged melo-death attack of Holding Your Breath.

“When it comes to a style, I’d just say that this is really catchy metal!” laughs Jake. “You can hear where we’re coming from but we’re not cut’n’pasting anything from our old bands. We have our own ways of singing and playing so yeah, it’s recognisable. I don’t put labels on music. For me it’s either good music or bad music – they’re the only categories I have! I guess we aimed to get some kind of elements from our other bands. I’ve always been focused on choruses, but I also wanted to add some more modern touches, some of that alternative metal vibe. It’s hard to put a label on it, though, and that’s a great problem to have.”

Beyond the obvious thrill of starting a new band, Cyhra also represents something deeper and more profound for guitarist Jesper Strömblad. Having battled with addiction for many years, this latest creative step marks a wholesale comeback for one of modern metal’s most distinguished protagonists, and the songs on Letters To Myself delve deep into the emotional turmoil and quest for inner strength that Jesper has experienced in recent times. Newly invigorated and back to top form, his confident and artistically joyous return is a cause for celebration on every level.

“This album must be seen a little bit as Jesper’s comeback,” agrees Jake. “He’s never been silent about his problems with alcohol and other things. We talked a lot and I listened to what he had to say about his condition and his feelings and all his anxiety problems. I wrote the lyrics a lot from his perspective, but also from mine, writing about being in a bad situation, whether it’s a band or a relationship or a problem with alcohol. The album is pretty true to our life experiences and I think people will be able to relate to it. It’s a dark album but it still has that positive vibe, which is kinda weird!”

With such an impressive collective pedigree, the buzz around Cyhra has been growing at a rapid rate since the band unveiled their plans earlier this year. When Letters To Myself hits the streets, it seems likely that these revitalised metal diehards will make a swift and sudden impact. An exciting new chapter for all concerned, Cyhra are in this for long haul and ready to take their message of hope to the masses.

“We have our own headline show in Helsinki on the 27th of October and that’ll be our first ever live show,” Jake states. “We’re gonna be a band like any other and we’re gonna tour hard. I really don’t want people to think this is some kind of project. It’s a full-blown band and we’re gonna work our asses off!”

German label AOR Heaven will release the new albums by British Melodic Rock band DANTE FOX called “Six String Revolver” and the debut by Swedish Melodic Rock group WILDNESS on November 24. These will be the final releases from this label before the usual Winter break.

Dante Fox were formed in September 1989 by lead Vocalist Sue Willetts.  She was quickly joined by guitarist Tim Manford and this created a golden partnership. On the strength of their songs Dante Fox caught the interest of Linda Bruce from Rich Bitch Studio’s and a debut album was now a reality. Following this an appearance on ITV television show ‘Hit The Town’ hosted by Rory McGrath launched the sounds of Lost And Lonely Heart through televisions all around the UK. Dante Fox signed to Now and Then Records in March 1996, and in May they appeared on the Gods line up next to Hugo and Jamie Kyle.

In October 1996 the debut Under Suspicion was released. Many shows followed including a support tour with ELO, Enuff Z Nuff and European festivals such as Mindview and Ardshock. Capitalising on this European interest the band returned to Holland for more headline shows. In April 1997 Under Suspicion was released in Japan and received an 87/100 review in BURRN magazine. The second album The Fire Within was released on Frontiers Records in March 1999. The album included more live favourites and in Japan Firing My Heart and Over You were added to the playlist of Masa Itoh’s Heavy Metal syndicate radio show. The band closed the year with an appearance at the Gods and also appeared as the backing band for Stan Bush.

The band took a break and returned in 2005, with a slot at Firefest and a UK tour support to Vixen. The third album ‘Under The Seven Skies’ was released worldwide on Frontiers Records in March 2007 featuring the Nine minute epic title track. The album was voted best album of 2007 by the listeners of ARFM Radio and the band continued to support the album by playing shows with Danny Vaughn and Wigwam.
The fourth album Lost Man’s Ground released in October 2012 at the bands appearance at Firefest. This featured a new rhythm section Andy Perfect (Drums) and Alan Mills (Bass), and also Alessandro DelVecchio on backing vocals and Eric Ragno on keyboards.
In June 2012 a magical night was experienced opening for US band Night Ranger in London. This year ended with a much anticipated performance at Firefest and a great slot at Hard Rock Hell. In September 2016 the album ‘ Breathless ‘ was released through AOR Heaven and received excellent critical acclaim featuring in many journalist’s Top 10 albums of 2016 and propelling Dante Fox as One of the leaders in Modern Melodic Rock for 2017.
The new album ‘Six String Revolver’ sees the band pay homage to their most popular songs from the first two albums from the 90’s. These songs have enabled Dante fox to evolve over time they have been re-recorded from the ground up with love, respect, precision and an excellent state of the art modern production from Sheena Sear at M2 Studio's . The idea behind WILDNESS began to grow in the summer of 2013 when the first songs were written. With main focus on heavy guitars, wide keyboards, big drums, melodies and hooks the shape of something new and exciting began to emerge. At this point, Wildness was more of a studio project and originally founded by drummer and songwriter Erik Modin while the guitar players Pontus Sköld and Adam Holmström were in to share the lead guitar parts early on.
The search for the right lead singer wasn’t easy as pie, but after a few months their destiny crossed with the unbelivable vocal talent Gabriel Lindmark in early 2014. More songwritings and demos recording came along, and it didn’t take long until it was clear that WILDNESS deserved to be a real band.

On September 1st 2015, WILDNESS independently released their self-produced debut single ”Collide” which immediately gained a lot of spins at various digital platforms such as a number of online radio stations focused on AOR and Melodic Rock. Live performances that followed showed that the band was capable to  deliver on stage as well.
The second single ”Turning The Pages” was released on January 14th 2016, and shortly after that WILDNESS was approached by Georg Siegl by German record label AOR Heaven. The contact resulted in a record deal which allowed the band to finally begin the launch of their first full-length album.

The choice for the producer fell on the creative and productive mastermind Erik Wigelius (Wigelius, Care Of Night) and the pre-production and recordings took place between during 2016 and 2017. The main part of the record was recorded at Erik Wigelius’ studio, besides additional parts recorded by drummer and co-producer Erik Modin.
The two previous singles ”Collide” and ”Turning The Pages” were re-recorded for the album. The mixing and mastering was handled by Erik Wigelius, who really knows how to take the 80’s-influenced sounds at put them in the 21th century!

Despite their short career, WILDNESS have already shared stages with well established acts in the scene like WHITE WIDDOW and DYNAZTY.

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to welcome legendary U.S. metallers Warlord to the family for the release of a new studio album in 2018!

Long admirers of the band and having gotten to know drummer Mark Zonder through his work with Graham Bonnet Band and the upcoming group, Spirits Of Fire, [which also features Tim Ripper Owens "Official Page" (Charred Walls Of The Damned, ex Iced Earth, Judas Priest), Chris Caffery (Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), and Steve Di Giorgio (Death (Official), Testament, Sadus)], Frontiers approached Zonder about the prospect of doing a new Warlord album for release in 2018. Luckily for the label, Zonder and co-founder/guitarist William J. Tsamis were very much open to the idea. Says Zonder, "[a]fter all of these years, Warlord is with a "real label". It will be great to have Warlord music shared with a worldwide audience., which is something that has been missing for many years. With my prior working experiences with Frontiers, I know Warlord is in the right place and I am very appreciative of this great opportunity. We thank everyone at the label for their belief in Warlord!"

In September 2013, Tsamis and Zonder announced that they had tapped vocalist Nicholas Leptos of Arrayan Path and Astronomikon to be the new Warlord singer. This line-up, along with bassist Bynoe will be the line-up for the upcoming new album. Adds Zonder, "this Warlord release will be like all of the previous ones, 100% Warlord. No changing of direction to keep up with the current fad, just good ol' school Warlord music. Maybe leaning back a touch to the early days and we promise a high energy album that features the classic Bill Tsamis compositions and his classic guitar melody lines. As I always try to do, I'll give it my all in tandem with my favorite bass player Philip Bynoe, working together to create a solid foundation. This will be the first studio recording with Nicholas Leptos on vocals. We have performed live with him several times and are eagerly awaiting to capture his dynamic performances on tape. A classic Warlord album in the making……"

Founded in in 1980 by guitarist/composer William J. Tsamis and drummer/percussionist Mark Zonder, Warlord is considered a pioneer in power metal thanks to their now classic 1983 6-song EP, "Deliver Us". Kerrang, Sounds, Burrn, and Music Connection all featured the band and praised the release thanks to their outside the norm, semi-progressive style that was inspired by such diverse acts as Rainbow, Scorpions, and Jethro Tull. Adding further intrigue to the Warlord mystique was the band members' use of pseudonyms such as 'Destroyer' (Tsamis), 'Thunderchild' (Zonder), 'Damien King' (vocalist Jack Rucker), and 'Sentinel' (keyboardist Diane Kornarens). The band also refused to become just another L.A. club act and opted to present themselves on a grander scale. They famously rented The Raymond Theater out to stage what would turn out to be the only Warlord live performance in the USA, prior to August 2013. It was filmed and recorded for the group's first full-length release, "And The Cannons Of Destruction Have Begun...," issued in October 1984, accompanied by a home video release of the same name.

While the band disbanded in 1986, they amassed a cult-like following in Europe despite their inactivity. This was largely due to rave reviews in metal the press, continuous airplay, and the circulation of many demos via "tape trading," as well as positive word-of-mouth promotion among metal fans. With the onset of the internet, the music of Warlord spread worldwide and thus helped secure Warlord a place in the history of heavy metal as one of the great metal forefathers of the '80s.

After the band dissolved, Zonder joined prog metal pioneers Fates Warning and went on to release numerous albums with them as well as others thanks to his skills then and now being in high demand. It was during one of Fates Warning's European tours that Zonder realized that Warlord's following had grown considerably with multiple fans asking him to sign Warlord albums and demanding new music from the band. Zonder contacted Tsamis and, as soon as schedules permitted, Warlord was once again an active band. Vocal duties were assigned to Hammerfall vocalist (and massive Warlord fan) Joacim Cans. Thus, in 2002, a new album, "Rising Out Of The Ashes," was recorded and released worldwide to rave reviews. This was followed by the first ever Warlord live performance in Europe at the prestigious Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.

A string of mishaps and serious family health issues plagued Warlord after these performances and the band was once again put on a hiatus, which lasted for almost 9 years. Warlord returned to active status formally in March 2012. Vocalist duties would be handled by one of the original 80's Warlord vocalists, Rick Anderson and Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai, Ring of Fire) joined the band on bass. That line-up released "The Holy Empire" to much critical and fan acclaim. In the meantime, mounting pressure by promoters and fans bore fruit and Warlord announced that they would headline the April 2013 German "Keep It True XVI" Festival. This announcement was followed by two headlining dates in Greece - Thessaloniki and Athens - which sold out, thus leading to a second headlining show in Athens which sold out as well. Fast forward to 2017 and the band is currently working on their Frontiers Music Srl debut studio album.

Stay tuned for updates as work on the album progresses….

New CLIF MAGNESS Solo Album Due Early 2018

Artist:

In the early '90s, melodic rock had more or less left the mainstream and become an underground affair championed by a group of small indie labels in Europe. But, in 1994 one spectacular release appeared on the scene from a singer/songwriter named Clif Magness, entitled 'Solo' that managed to collect truly rave reviews from all over the world (yes, even in a time when melodic rock was considered dead and gone).

But who is Clif Magness? Well, he certainly needs no introduction for music fanatics who have devoted much of their time over the years to reading the credits in album liners. By the time the "Solo" record came out, he already made a name for himself co-writing and producing a #1 hit with Jack Wagner ('All I Need'), a top 5 hit for Wilson Phillips ('Impulsive'), and winning a Recording Academy / GRAMMYs for the song 'The Places You Find Love' from Quincy Jones' critically acclaimed album, 'Back On The Block.' Just three years later, in 1993, Clif was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globes Award for the song 'The Day I Fall In Love' from the film 'Beethoven's 2nd', co-written with Carole Bayer Sager and James Ingram.

Throughout the 1990s and into 2000, Clif continued to work with outstanding artists such as Celine Dion, Hanson, Steve Perry, Amy Grant, and Joe Bonamassa among others. Clif was also instrumental in developing perhaps the biggest breakout artist of 2003, Avril Lavigne. Being among the first writer/producers to work with Avril, Clif's writing and production style became the benchmark for the album. Clif co-wrote and produced the fourth, much edgier, Avril Lavigne single 'Losing Grip,' as well as five other tracks from her multi-platinum debut 'Let Go.' Of course he has kept on working and creating some great and hugely successful music for many singers in the past few years, including Jessica Simpson, Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, and many others.

The exciting news for fans of Clif is that he is stepping back in to the melodic rock scene with a new solo record, which is being released on Frontiers Music Srl!

'After receiving numerous requests from fans all over the world, I am excited to announce that I'm teaming up with Frontiers and releasing a new solo album,' says Clif. ' Very cool to be working with Frontiers and after too long, on my own project. Years have passed since my last solo effort, but the truth is, I am, at the heart of things, a journeyman songwriter, and producer for others, and still am. But I have had an awesome time stepping out and putting together this record.'

Frontiers Music Srl is truly honored and excited to welcome such a huge talent to the label and firmly believes this will continue their unapproachable track record of bringing AOR fans music they are more than happy to hear. The new release will follow in the footsteps of 'Solo', with an updated production and sound befitting of the 21st century. The label anticipates releasing the record in early 2018.
