Hi Nicky, As usual, I'm a little late to the party here. LOL! Glad you remembered me after seeing all the threads on this board. Hahaha! As you can see from the lack of replies, no one but you gives a fook mate. LOL!! I'm still around...writing all the time and creating tunes for my head. Lots of production work for others. Mixing, mastering, producing and I teach recording work shops now as we

Well this was very nice to see! Thank you for thinking of me Laurent! I really appreciate the kind words. For sure I did put a lot into that album and it all happened at a pretty bad time. I think it may have done better with the right push, and MTM wasn't the answer....which was never my idea. Marquee made me pursue that deal because MTM was one of the labels that didn't screw them. Then again

Ah you guys rule, thanks! ;) JJ: thanks for helping spread the word! Laurent: I guess I need to be a bit more active so I don't type novels. LOL! Can't have you taking days off from work bro. ;) I really didn't have any news to speak of for the longest time, so I felt "why say anything at all?" The of course, it all stacks up and I gotta tell about it. Haha! Thanks for the kind words

Hi everyone, Just in case anyone was curious, cared or didn't care lol, I just wanted to give you a little heads-up about me being at this show because I received a few emails asking me about it. (Deb, got your email, will reply soon!) The Danny D band will NOT be performing at this show. Instead, I will be playing guitar with Whitefoxx covering for guitarist Dave Lord. The bassist Mike "R

I think he needs a singer with a commercial sound like Joe Lynn, or a singer with a commercial sound and some mega big bawls like Tony Harnell. Now THAT would be a great combo if Tony could deal with him and Yngwie would trust in Tony to write with him. I still think Tony should be the singer for Dream Theater...how perfect would that be? James lsightly reminded me of Tony on the Images and Words

I agree with all of the above! Guitar tone is definitely killer...a bit much in the highs for me, but the tone itself is awesome. Matter of personal preference. The drums on that album are definitely one of the best drum sounds for me. Huge thumping kick, a larger than life properly gated snare...and I'd say 80% of the songs are catchy and well written. I got the second album first, so the first

You rule Rob, thanks man!!! :) Hey rocknut, if you laughed at me I'd be happy with that too. It is the entertainment business after all. ;) Hopefully though, the only thing you'd be laughin at is my appearance and not my playing or presentation. LOL! :) If so, I got my work cut out for me. Hahahaha! I don't know man, I just really love the dressing up thing. It makes me feel like each show is an

Hey Lec, I won't even to defend Beau on the email offer, but I can tell ya this. Though he wants to work with the melodic rock scene, he only mails people he thinks has a project worth working on. He likes when he can be creative and spends his time enjoying that. He doesn't like when he has to polish a turd for the sake of making money. I don't think he needs the money to where he'd send mass ma

Great question Figge! For me, I tend to pop in the Living Color "Vivid" album. The sound sonically speaking is just brilliant The drums, bass and Corey's vocals are just stellar as well. Dream Theater "Awake" is a pretty good one as well as TNT "Realized Fantasies" also. VH "1984", "Ratt Dancing Under Cover", Winger and some other Beau Hill album

Sounds good Andrew, I sent him a copy of what I posted here and told him I'd get a hold of you to remind you. At least now people don't think I'm out of my tree when I say I've been talking to him...how would I have known about the interview?! LOL!! Hopefully the email addy you have for him still works. Andrew, I had mentioned in a post that was probably responded to a bit too late for you or anyone else to notice (like I always do lol) but in the post, I had mentioned that I will be working with Beau Hill at some point on a few singles I'm working with and a new album when it comes time. I talked to him on the phone about 2 hours ago and mentioned this site to him. When I did, he said "th

Thanks Paul, I'm pretty stoked myself to be honest. The entire album deal with Beau is not a definite at this time, but in the next 2 weeks or so we'll be working on a few tunes to see how things go. If I'm happy and he digs working with me, we'll take the next step. I can't see how I wouldn't be happy with Beau's work though. He's one of my favorite producers of all time. I was like a little kid

Richy, I'm not sure I saw the vid you are talking about, but what I DID see was Oz and this line-up you're talking about (I think) at the US Festival when it was broadcast on MTV. That was when I became a true Jake fan and felt that line-up was completely on fire. Jake moved well, had a great tone, played some intense stuff and really looked as though he were living the part as opposed to going t

Hmmm, I'm stumped there Richy. Maybe he had a bit too much fun with the money he made from Kiss and went down the tubes a bit? Could be lots of things if you think about it. Maybe he was depressed he wasn't with them anymore? Spent his cash on abusive substances that may have screwed him up a bit? I really don't know as I know nothing about the guy. I wish I knew...but now that you've stated the

Richy, how many years passed between the recordings of the 2 albums? The reason I ask this is if it was a few years, there's definitely a chance Mark improved. For example, I've always been a hugs Randy Rhoads fan. But his work in the early Quiet Riot stuff was terrible to my ears in both production and Randy's playing. Yet if you listen to the Blizzard of Oz stuff or Diary albums, to me he sound

Hey Tommy, Sorry you won't be posting any longer dude. I for one always looked forward to reading about you and always respect what you have to say whether I agree with it or not. I hate when we lose credible stars on here that are living the dream on account of a few that may sometimes stir the pot.
