Hi Andrew, I know you and I have had a few problems with email exchanges in the past for whatever reason. I wanted you to know that I received your email and replied back to it twice. I haven't heard back from you and saw you've posted on the board a few times since then, so I'm wondering if you even got my mails? The second mail asked if you could please respond back to let me know you receiv

Mike: yeah it's sad isn't it? I remember doing a morning show on a really popular station in Philly years ago. They had an 80's day and asked me to come and hang out, talk about the bands, the times, I played guitar on the air...it was a blast of a time. But after the show, I hung out for another hour or so with one of my friends. I remember seeing this line of people...you know, kinda like at a

I don't know Andrew, I think there is money in the scene though. The problem is, money not spent properly advertising. I'll give you my take for what it's worth from my own experience. Anyone that knows anything about US radio knows if you got the cash to either pay a station or a radio marketer, your stuff gets played. I'm serious...it's that simple. I think the music we all love will be tota

Terry, I think he took care of it. I spoke to him a few times this morning and he was working on it for me...and they seem to have stopped. Hopefully they have for you also.

Andrew, they have to sign up with an account on here though to post, don't they? Once they sign up, they have access to the board. You've gotta see how bad this is getting now. http://forums.melodicrock.com/phorum33/read.php?f=1&i=444036&t=412712 Every post it makes gets mailed to me. It's filling up my spam folder so fast it's nuts. If I were to delete my account on here, it would stil

Not sure what it's not sending unless you've changed your addy? I've sent it twice. Anyway...thanks for answering me here Andrew. Here's what the email said. Hi Andrew, I hope this finds you well mate. Sorry for the bother, but is there a way you can look into this? It seems bots are signing up on your site and posted spam to older messages to where if a user has enabled the “email to above

Hi Andrew, (and everyone else) I seem to be having a problem with messages I've posted that are old where I used the "Email replies to this thread, to the address above". Spam bots are going years back and hitting those up and it's sending me like 3-5 spam messages per day. Is this happening to anyone else? I sent you 2 emails about it Andrew, but I've not heard anything back from you

Actually I was, but it was a terribly hot night in England for that show. I remember it was so hot, the band that was on before me kept sending their guitars back to their techs to have them retuned between every song. I remember singing the the one part in "Renegade" where me and the band sing with no music...the "oh mama I'm in fear for my life" part near the end....and I st

LMAO!!! That must have been the night Tony M dubbed me "Spongey"!!! Hahahahahahaha! I'm soo sorry dude! I slimed ya, didn't I?! That was one of the hottest nights of my life ffs! I remember a puddle under my feet and I swear I didn't pee myself! Freakin sweat was running down me like a fawcet. My apologies Nicky, I owe you a shirt. ;)

Hahah you rule Laurent, great post man and thanks for the kind words. Feelings are mutual bro! ;) See, though I can understand where you're coming from with the whole "man up Andrew!" type vibe, when you give your all to something, timing is everything. For example, we don't really know what goes on in Andrew's life other than his reporting and posting on the board. If the guy has a ba

C'mere Nick...I'll give ya a hug....no faggotry though, we gotta keep it clean. ;) LOL! Gotta love "faggotry"...is that even a word? I spoke to this guy from Mexico on another forum....and he said something along the lines of "no faggotry intended" and I lost it. It's been word of the week for me. ;)

Ah Andrew my friend...you're an artist just like we musicians are. We can get 100 incredible reviews that make us feel like we've accomplished something...and 5 bad ones that make the 100 good ones seem obsolete. That's just the way it works. You just have to tell yourself that far more love you than those that may not agree with you or somewhat go out of their way to make you feel the need to be

Thank God I'm not alone Kenneth. :) In a sense, there really is no right or wrong. An artist writing music should definitely do what he or she wants first and foremost. Not everyone will love your art even if you do somewhat stick to what got you noticed. That's just the nature of the beast. But I seriously believe innovation happens on its own. If someone sets out purposely to be different, tha

Hi Laurent, This is a great question. The last time I gave my opinion on this, Tony Harnell and me got into a disagreement. LOL!!! I'll try this again and see how I fair. I personally think they artists do kinda need to consider the fans as important and here's why. When you release and album and people love and buy a certain sound, this is the sound you sold them. They look forward to this sou

Well it may be time to just create something that runs off of that board if it's not too much trouble. Even if we started fresh, and you leave this board up temporarily so that those who have posted things they feel strongly about could copy and paste them to the new place. This way you don't have to data base it all. I would think (unless something truly heated is going on) that most people wo

I have the same problems on my board Andrew. It seems most are gmail, zacimus accounts or come from Germany and Russia. It really is annoying, so I feel your pain. Not much you can do really other than what you have been doing. The cool thing about my board though, no one can just sign up and post. I get sent an email that tells me who joined and they can't post a thing unless I authorize them.

It seems like we all share a similar take in this. Thanks for the in depth answers. I still think there is a tactful way to explain negativity to where it's constructive. Words like "suck, horrible, what a waste" etc just turn me off in a review even if they may be obviously true. It's like the difference between calling someone you don't like an @sshole as opposed to saying " to

Excellent post Steve...that's exactly how I feel and how I would be if I reviewed someone's hard work. I think it's all in the tact a person uses. Like David mentioned about the girlfriend thing...lol...I had always thought some of these reviewers were once musicians that may have quit music, cut their hair, got married and had a few regrets. They then may be harsh on someone that just may be pre

I actually have a question I was curious about. For those of you that read reviews and take the words seriously when they come from a credible source, what are your feelings when a reviewer bashes an artist into the ground? Of course we all want honesty without any bias, but when you read something that is really negative to the point of possibly damaging an artist's sales, does that bother you

Haha thanks Nick. Ah I don't know, the last time there was talk about me playing FF, there were too many "can't do this can't do that's". I was never personally approached, but Johnny Lima was on behalf of both of us. We were going to play half a set of my stuff, half a set of his stuff and both play guitar for each other but we weren't allowed to bring any of our boys with us and there

If the right situation comes along, you have my word I won't hesitate. :) Andrew: I mailed ya a few mins ago with a little something cool to check out. ;) HellYeah: Thanks for that, makes me feel really good. I'm glad a few haven't forgotten me. I haven't forgotten you guys either, so no worries there.
