I noticed that most of the 70s bands that set the wheels in motion, get very little mention here. Haven't seen one thread regarding Punky Meadows recording a new CD with Danny Farrow. Now that's major news in my book.

Moxy is high up on my top bands. Tommy Bolins guitaring on Moonrider from Moxy 11 is amazing. Ridin High is a slab of classic 70s hard rock.

Back in 1984 I was introduced to Jason via his then girlfriend who lived in Houston. I was lucky enough to spend a few days with him, staying at his house, watching Watchtower rehearse and hunting down second hand record stores in Austin. A really nice guy.

Roger Romeo has his own band called the Funkin Maniacs, they play a few times a month around LA. Mike Prince has his own production company, and properly made more money working for Michael Jackson than he ever did with Legs Diamond. Some of the releases that Rock Candy stowed upon us have been gems. Come on, 3 Krokus Cds is that what we need. Would love to see the Creed album finally get a release or some more of the obscure stuff from the 70s & 80s such as Blackhorse, Pearl Handle Band or Roadhouse Band get a decent remastered.

Forget your Strypers, Dream Hunter, cop a load of this lot called Salem. Great concept album called Kaddish, they even do a cover song in hebrew, how good is that. Hows this for irony they signed a 3 album deal with System Shock records, a German record label.

This gig had been scheduled o play the 12 bar club, but tickets sold out within 24 hours, now they are playing the Garage.i think Ginger with be appearing with them. This is one band that i would love to see, but alas i live over 12,500 miles away.
