Finally received my copy yesterday, along with Creed, Ozz has been on my wish list for ages. After many months of false starts it’s great to have a decent sounding copy. Now I can banish the Kresendo CD to the bin. Even though I am familiar with the music, I must take my hat of to my good friend Dave Reynolds for writing an informative essay, with very little information and input from the band

Steve, I got both Mamas Pride Cds from Pat Liston a few years back. The wounded bird ones are now out of print and super expensive, as Carl1 just found out. I would love to see a good reissue with bonus tracks and 12 page booklet and the reunion CD, "Alive and well" become readily available.

Carl, would love to see Highway Robbery “For the love of Money”, both Mamas Pride albums and Red Bud Thunder “American Rock n Roll” reissued. There is so much that’s available on private pressings that’s not on legit CD label, I end up buying bootleg copies.

If this is anything like Punkys Fallen Angel, then I will be giving it a wide berth. All those early Angel lps are classics in there own right, then to come out with a mediocre disc that I have heard so many times before was a real disappointment.

Paul, my first love is Southern Rock, there are some great releases out there but on private pressing, only recently have they become available on CD from a German website called Southern Rock Records. Even though most are bootlegs, they are done very well and it’s the only chance of owning them on CD. Never in my day would I thought I’d see Red Bud Thunder or Blackhorse available on CD. So I

Steve, they recorded 2 albums in the early 70s, “whiskey woman and Way down East”. They do have a website and the CDs are available. Another band that you may be interested in is Zior, from Southend England. They released 2 albums in the early 70s, some great Sabbath riffs. “Every inch a man” is the best one.

Carl, it’s all good.I wasn’t offended, just didn’t expect a comment from you. Wife is fine now. Having seen first hand the damage mental health causes both from family and working as an A&E nurse, and knowing how something like chronic pain or insomnia can tip a person over the edge. We as a whole need to show more empathy to people.

Carl, I can’t comment on your or anyone else’s life experiences, but having seen my wife go through some mental health issues years ago and wanting to take her own life, then someone calling her a dickhead for trying, that shows the amount of apathy that person has for others. What you should have was was nothing, then we would not be having this conversation.

Really Carl, calling him a dickhead, if he isn’t in the right state of mind. I would think better of you. Not the best choice of words, mate.

Interesting article, I have the White Wing on CD. I recently watched a doco called “out of nowhere” directed Bob Zimmerman. It’s all about the music scene in Champaign, ILlinois. There’s a guy in St Louis called Joe Bohnert that used to play in a band called Chug and Mohawk. Here is an article I wrote about them. Chug and Mohawk can be found on you tube. https://glorydazemusic.com/php9/
