Having Riot on the bill was extra special for me, loved that band. It took me 5 hours to get back home on a train. Me and my friends where stuck in a corridor of a first class compartment. We arrived at Euston around 5am.

I buy Southern Rock Cds from a German Website, most of these CDs are ripped from Private Pressings and therefore will never be released on CD. The sound quality is good and artwork just as good as the original. Do I care they are copies, not really, as it’s the only way I can get them without shelling out big bucks for the original prev items pressings.

Further to the thread earlier on Riot Act consists of Riots Lou Kouvaris who played on the debut and Rick Ventura. They are doing a tour of Greece in March and are playing songs from Rock City, Narita and Fire Down Under only.

Mark Reale along with Lou Kouvaris was the original guitarists for Riot. Rick Ventura joined for the Narita album, he was originally Riots guitar roadie.

I was a huge Riot fan when I first heard Neil Kaye play Warrior at the Bandwagon Soundhouse. I even helped out on the petition to get FDU released. In my opinion I don’t think it’s a bad rendition of the original. It’s nice to see Rick back, I just wonder what Sandy Slavin thinks about it as he was extremely bitter that Riot where playing with none of the members that appeared on the first

Try Stefan at Southern Rock Records. More than likely they are bootlegs on Crossroads or Southern Production record label but it might be the only way your get them. I bought loads of stuff from him even though I hate buying bootlegs it’s the only way I can get a copy.

Hope T Rex get it, obvious choice to collect the honour would be Marcs Brother, Harry and Bill Legend as he is the only one alive from the classic line up.

Best new band in years is a bit of an over statement. There are good but not the best.

I will hold my judgement on this until I hear the whole CD. My favourite Angel albums are the debut and Helluva Band, but enjoyed the pop rock of White Hot and Sinful. As I said before Punkys last solo effort was in my opinion absolute dross. What made Angel unique was Franks vocal style and the image, will I buy this CD? Spotify will be my judgement call.

Playing it along with Texas City Revealtors. Both fine bands in the Southern country rock vein.

It’s been transferred from home video VHS, so of course the sound is distorted. Take it for what it is a great clip from a band at their prime.

Legs Diamond “Diamond is a Hard Rock” was a classic slice of hard rock, then a label change and they released Firepower. Different direction and up till a few years back,I only relised how good it was.

I sold my entire vinyl collection before we moved to NZ. I cringe now when I see stuff that I had going for megabucks on eBay, but it is what it is, and anyway we don’t have the room for a large vinyl collection in the home that we are in. I wonder what state the vinyl would be in after sitting in a shipping container for 6 weeks. Do I regret selling it, only sometimes and then for brief per
