Following on from the thread below, i thought i would start a debate about Aerosmith. Back in the 70s Aerosmith where the band that could do no wrong. They wrote some of the most badass songs ever. Rocks has to be one of the finest albums ever to be released. But the Aerosmith from the early 80s are a completely different band to the previous decade. Same member, new manager, bought in outside h

Night in the Ruts was the last Aerosmith album to have any substance. Even though Joe Perry left half way though it. Rock in a hard place was not bad then Done with Mirrors, when they where going though rehab. Then it turned to shit from then onwards.

Anyone else heard these guys from Atlanta. Their debut album Greatest Hits Vol. 1 is nothing short of a masterpiece. A new take on old music, this is not your daddy's Southern Rock.

At 9.26 this morning, the whole country had an earthquake drill. Where ever you where, you had to drop, cover and hold. At 9.26 not one single person hid under their shopping trolley. Is NZ prepared for another quake. Not in Auckland.

unfortunately, people seem to prefer talking about either lists, best this or that on this forum. Proved by how little response you received with the Whiskey Myers post.

Depends on what album you heard. Thier debut, Road of Life is good, has couple of standout tracks such as American Outlaw. Now onto thier 2nd opus, Firewater. This is amazing, not bad song on it. The writing/lyrics are breath taking ( broken Window Serenade), revisit Firewater, its a must have cd.

The other chap that you have never heard of is me. I dont frequent this forum often. Shame you could not get into FDU, one of the most influentual albums of the 80s. I had the good fortune to meet Riot back in very early 80s, having helped on the petition to get capital to release FDU.

Being a huge riot fan since hearing Warrior at the Bandwagon Heavy metal Soundhouse back in 1978, the story of Fire down under and capitals refusal to release it is a story in itself, what went on behind the scence. Fans petitioning for its release, line up changes, Guys reeson for leaving, all make interesting reading. For those interested Riots orginal guitarist LA Kouaris does has a FB page wi

Following on from the Pump v Get a Grip debate, i urge every one to grab a copy of this live radio broadcast and hear how a once mighty band sounded. Even at the stage when this was recorded the band where Imploding with drugs and outside interferences. This is still Aerosmith at their finest live and raw. For those of us lucky enough to see the band at this time can only look back and think how
