Bloody right - puts me on the guest list when Yngwie was here in Tokyo earlier this year and then buggers off before I get back stage! What's that all about...? On a serious note, Yngwie is a tremendous player but, as has been commented on here, sometimes less really can mean more. That being said, I didn't see too many complaining at the aforementioned Tokyo show, so it obviously works for many.

Look, I think it is highly commendable that Kieran & Bruce are considering going ahead with another event, but it's also not fair that the burden for the success of the event fall so heavily on their shoulders. Here's an alternative... Here in Japan, they have found a way of doing things that works well for all concerned. The only issue that I see being a problem is egos. They have had a num

I think that you have to take into account how many labels a band is involved with to seriously consider this issue. It is only natural for a label to want to capitalize on a band's success upon signing, so every time a band switches labels this kind of thing is likely to happen. Incidentally, you can add at least three more Thunder live albums to the mix from Japan!!

How many of you picked up the Rainbow 1977 Rockpalast disc from Japan?

Oh dear, that's a pity. I was considering picking that up, too! I have a really nice boot of the Dutch 'Holy Diver' show and that's great. Saw hin here in Tokyo and he was awesome as usual...can't think what went wrong here.

You guys are the best - I was feeling really pretty deflated over all of this, but you have helped me put it all in perspective, and for that I thank you.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate your words. As I said earlier, this is a thankless enough task without getting shot down needlessly. As for the bonus tracks, they really aren't that bad at all - I just felt it was necessary to add something for a little extra value.

Thanks for that, Matt. We genuinely don't do it for the glory and we sure as hell don't do it for the money...actually, why do we do it? Hard to say, but it certainly ain't to be sniped at. No issues at all with genuine criticism - God only knows, I'm the first to criticise when things aren't as they should be - but this kind of ungracious moaning really gets my back up.

That's how pissed I am, I'm not even making any sense...that last line should read "....'cos I can do without you're moaning just as much as I can do without your money!"

Y'know what - you're dead right. I shouldn't bother anymore... These discs sound great - I am stopped on a regular basis in stores here in Tokyo by people telling me how great they sound, and these guys are fussy! What I should have done is leave the bonus tracks off - it was really hard finding extra material, but I wanted to add something extra to discs that have been out three times now. I re

I had the very real honour and pleasure of releasing the last John Sloman album 'Dark Matter'in 2003. It's an awesome record that any fan of the man's work should own. He's one of the greats.

OK, I'm listening. If this isn't about what happened five years ago, then what is it about? I'm not being confrontational here, if you have an issue that you need resolving let's hear about it...

The first two HP albums are available from us for the princely sum of £11.99 each...and they come with sleeve notes, a bonus track or two and sound great. Who is this guy, anyway?

No, in this instance I've no doubts that the band have licensed the album to Retrospect whilst Rock Candy have gone to the label.

Well, even if a sub-licensing deal could be done, I don't think this day and age there would be much point in licensing for Europe what Wounded Bird have available in the States. As for the list you mention, I would love to put the Axe albums out and have traced them as far as Mike Curb, who is one of the big player's in Nashvillefs country music scene - and he's not an easy person to deal wit

Hi Steve. Bit of a nightmare this. You need to buy Quick Time 7 Pro from the Apple site at a cost of £19.99 and then re-encode anything you want to play on the i-pod in Quick Time before loading it on to the player. To be honest, you'd be better off with an Archos AV-400 which records video straight form TV or DVD and plays MP3, WMA and just about everything else on an 80 GB hard disc. Has a fo

Yes, Stuart, I know exactly why the Wildlife albums haven't been released, or at least the Warners owned Swansong album, because I've tried on numerous occasions to pick it up. Basically, Warners in the UK won't license anything out without the US companies say so and that's never forthcoming - though the deal with Rhino that Warners in the States have seems to allow Wounded Bird to run riot th

Seasons best to the community... OK, tale of abject misery to follow...hankies at the ready. I won't go into too much detail at the moment (discretion is the order of the day here) but, having licensed the first three Strangeways albums from Sanctuary for an early January release and having been promised bonus material by....someone(!), we've been let down royally at the 11th hour. Now we could r

And the lesson here is don't try to do anything the least bit out of the ordinary, the public won't appreciate it...or am I being too harsh? Doug has one of the best voices in rock, soulful and emotive. Listen to his work on any Kings X album and you can't fail to be awestruck. Fact is, this project was earmarked for another generic voice with little or no character to it. ...shame, really.

',,,always nice to stick one on those cocky bastards.' Always? Try as I might, I'm having trouble recalling the last time we actually beat the Argentineans...and a nasty case of boils to anyone who is dumb enough to say the Falkland Isles! And yes, I think we'll be semi finalists in Germany, we're that good at least on our day. Incidentally, I sat up until 4.30 am watching the game live here i
