Thanks for the link, Pete - worked beautifully! Thanks to everyone for all the info - what a shame about Rafa Martin, both albums are great in their different ways...I'm definitely going ahead with the DVD purchase and will do some more HW on Atticus Fault. I actually drove to two of the largest record stores in Mexico looking for the Feel CD (I get compulsive like that) and nada, zip. So th

842. Tequila
It's such a shame that many countries just have tequila like Cuervo and Sauza because people start thinking that's the good stuff. It isn't. The general opinion of those brands here is that they're the kind of low-quality sh!t that makes you go blind (though it does admittedly sell in certain sectors). It's always best to go with Don Julio reposado or Herradura reposado, something like that

Alright, how the hell is a man supposed to get a Real Audio player? We all know that RA is a very popular format, especially for hearing sounclips and so on. My problem is that the only version available now is the new RealOne - it's a big damn file (if you have my slow Mexican connection) and it screws up my computer. So I've been hunting high and low for the last "normal" version,

E-mail confirmation would only discourage new users even more...and by new users I don't mean troublemakers, but fans who would enrich the discussions and interaction. Registration as it stands now is ok, I don't love it but it's Andrew's choice and I respect it (the signatures are kinda cool, though). But if posts had to be moderated and approved, I don't know how others feel about it, bu

What *is* Pyn Siren anyway? Who is in this band? What's the style? Since it keeps getting mentioned, I assume it must be high profile in some way (at least within the AOR community). I must've been kept out of the loop. Cheers, Jack.

Well, I should do some research on this too because my best friend gets married in June...I'll let you know what I find. But in the movies, where the best man always seems to have a witty speech up his sleeve, the structure seems to be: 1. Tell an anecdote about the two of you that is related to love/women in general/the bride. There has to be some kind of story in your past which says somet

I just pulled out my Roxette compilation and saw that there's a song on my CD (which is a Mexican pressing) that isn't on the US version of the greatest hits. It's called "She Doesn't Live Here Anymore" and is oneof the better songs on the disc, kind of a power pop thing with more guitars than the usual Roxette song...the liner notes say it was actually recorded by Per Gessle's old ba

Brit, At this stage, it would be much better if you avoided the second season altogether and waited for the DVD set in August/Septbember. Trust me on this one (unless you know someone who tapes the shows obsessively, like me, so you can catch up). The third episode in particular is huge, it would be a shame if you already knew the outcome. Cheers, Jack.

This post is spoiler free of plot points, so read with confidence. Tell me about it! Forget the jiggle when she runs - did you catch the nipples when she was wearing the white tank top? Whew....that was a money shot; for those of you in Europe/Oz, just wait a couple of weeks for the best glimpse at Kim's endowments you can probably ever hope to see.... Yes, I'm coming off as a sexist pig, b

Well, season one was released in the DVD package in mid-September (the 17th...and it was rushed, by all reports), so I'm guessing we can expect Season 2 to be out around the same date this year. Certainly before season 3, which will probably be the last. Cheers, Jack.

Nope, zero plot details - I hate spoilers to the point that I don't see the "scenes from next week" after every episode. They show too much. I missed season 1, and saw it all on DVD - the image looks much better, and its in a widescreen format. It's just brilliant...wait till you get to episode 9, very cool. All of my friends know that I accept no phone calls during 24, I reall

....and if anyone takes my great advice and plans to buy the 6-disc set of the first season, DON'T read the booklet that comes in the box...it'll ruin the plot twists for you. J. Registration...caca?

853. TV! 24!
Speaking of Tv shows, I know this is kind of a non sequitur, but do you get "24" down there Andrew? Best show...ever. And I don't usually watch much TV because much of the quality is sub-standard. 24 is very cinematic in its high quality, and is just a balls-to-the-wall thrill ride. Each episode represents an hour in real time, and the whole season is one day. Nothing is more addic

I know what you mean, now I have to focus on quantity over quality...got to stay ahead of the race and claim the high post number that should be mine. It's a shame though that when you change the signature it changes in the previous ones, so previous posts don't make sense if you're talking about it. Lookie here:

Hey Tommy, I like you and do see your point, the car-on-water wasn't meant to be a cheap dig at ya, just a respectful disagreement. I didn't want to start a flamewar, I just feel they were important issues to be discussed. And I am very glad to hear that Atenzia seems to be receptive to the faults of the copy protection. I personally assumed they wouldn't be because I remembered a statemen

Look guys, my points about registration are as follows: - First of all, I can see where Andrew is coming from, and it is his call and choice. The mindless slagging matches lately (as opposed to clever slagging matches, which can be fun) have led to the desire for more control, and to avoid trolls. Totally understandable. - But on the other hand, what does registration mean? (besides my

Oh, you're right! The only thing is that then it changes every single post you've done, altering the name accordingly - same thing with the signature. King of Lust is a persona that has different interests than normal, musically-inclined Jack. :) Cheers, Jack.

Geez. I was expecting this kind of, "don't be shallow, who cares, it's the music that matters" reply, which is why I kind of wanted to clear it up in the first post. YES, I know Steve still sings wonderfully, YES I think that what matters is Human Zoo. Like I said in my original post, I was in no way trying to be snide or critical, just curious, basically (like I said, idle thoughts

make a list...any and all successful bald rockers. Are there even any? Is there a stigma here? Will Gotthard sell more records now that Steve no longer needs the beret? I'm not talking "receding hairline" like Phil Collen, I mean bald. I mean...Phil Collins comes to mind, but he's not rock. Then there's Rob Halford...but is he bald or did he just shave his head? See, I think

...I don't like is, now that I'm registered, in my profile I'm listed as having "2 posts". TWO POSTS?? I'm a senior member, I've posted like a maniac for years, there should be at least 4 or 5 zeros behind that two. I want an inflated post count! Now any weasel-cock that strolls in will have the same post count as yours truly.... I feel less manly somehow...as if I were bald. I

862. Hum...
...it is kind of nice that you can have a "signature", but in any case it should have some sort of dividing line, otherwise it looks like you just typed it in. The jury is still out, but so far I am still leaning towards "register schmegister!". Oh yes, this is the hair thread, no? Alright I need to say something hair-related, then...I love my fucking hair. If I lost it w

Hm, I should tell my balding friend Alejandro to write Steve and ask who did it...he's petrified of getting a botched transplant or something. Well, I registered since it is now forceful. I mean, I guess I can see why it happened because of the occasional jackasses, I just don't want this board to be just like every other rigidly structured board on the net with no individuality. I grudgi
