Love Radford! Definitely a difference in sound between the two albums. The first one is more straight forward, while the second has more of an edge. If anything, the band that the SLEEPWALKER album sounds most like is Our Lady Peace. Especailly on songs like "Out Of The Dark".

Wow, that's kind of weird, as I heard the same track on the radio about 11:30pm tonight where I live. If you don't know where to start, there's a couple of different compilation albums out there which are good. One is THE BEST OF MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND, put out by Warner Brothers in '96. It, naturally, features 12 tracks culled from all thier Warner Brothers output of albums - "Nightig

Well, I'd much rather see people disscuss Coldplay here, rather than say The Backstreet Boys. At least Coldplay can and do 'rock', (check out "Don't Panic" or "Shiver" from PARACHUTES, or even "Low" and "White Shadows" from X&Y), even if most times they go for a more mellow mood. I don't think they'll be dissapearing from the public's eye anytime so

Ok, true enough, perhaps on the Mutt Lange points. And yes, BSB are melodic. But AOR? Hardly. Since AOR stands for Album Oriented ROCK - if there's one thing that can be assuredly said about BSB, it is that they are NOT rock. They are a POP group, plain and simple. I don't care if they did a whole album of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, or Metallica covers - they still wouldn't be rock. And since this si

Agreed, THE BEST Batman film yet! My biggest problem with the others, was that the villains always overshadowed Batman. It was as if he was a supporting character in thier movies. This is espscially true with the first movie, which could just have easliy been callled "The Joker". It was made even worse by them constantly adding more villains, to outdo each prior movie - but that just d

Never said the album was bad - just that I couldn't believe it was being championed on THIS site. Read my post again. But, sinc eyou felt the need to eloborate, let me do so in kind on your points. Some of your above mentioned choices, and for that matter, many other well known "singers" can and do play instruments - just not always within their band setting. I.E. - Steven Tyler is a p

I've got the 40GB Creative Zen Jukebox Xtra. Got a real sweet deal on it, paid about $170 US (after Christmas clearence)- so for the price difference vs. an I-pod, I couldn't say no. Yeah the I-pod has more toys (extras) available for it, but I wouldn't use half of them anyway. Got an FM transmitter that I paid about $17 or so for, and it works just fine for my needs. So far, I've had it for

Frankly, I can't believe you guys are even talking about, much less hyping Backstreet Boys here, especially considering some of the honest to goodness REAL bands that I've seen others slag off through these threads. So BSB might be able to sing, but they still don't actually play any instruments, or really write any songs - so in my book, that put's them pretty far away from being anywhere clos

Bastard (kidding, of course)! What I woudn't have given to meet Phil. That's what I get for leaving the UK at 5, and being stuck here in the US ever since. Lost most of my chances to see the band live, and didn't really get much chance to see them play live when they did tour here.

Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy and Tom Petterson of Cheap Trick - odd as in both are bassists, and I'm a guitar player. I've gotten to meet Tom Many times now, but sadly, never got to meet Phil before he died - which in a rather bizzare coincidence, was on my 20th birthday.

He was the guitarist for the RHCP for only one album and tour. Better known as the guitarist for JANES ADDICTION. His solo album from a few years back was quite good, too.

I wasa going to say that one, too, but it sounded like Garrry M said he had that one, and wanted to know what the others were like. Pretty sure the 1985 album is still around. I believe there is a Canadian label that has released it, and I think it's still in print. Hold on... ...Actually, I just checked, and it is available here... http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?style=music&pid=

Sadly, I thought Loverboy sounded better on thier cover song, than on thier original. And you're right, Mike Reno looked awful. Are there any other original members in the band still? I couldn't tell, as all they really showed was him.

The album BRICKYARD ROAD, from the early 90's is fantastic if you can find it.! Not too different from what 38 Special was doing around the same time period. Wasn't really moved in one way or the other over the first two VAN ZANT releases that he did with brother Donnie. Haven't heard the new one yet, either.

Oh... and speaking of Poison... the main riff from "Unskinny Bop" is a total lift from Lynyrd Skynyrd's "I Know A Little" - but played slower.

Better Than Ezra - incredible band live, as well as on record! Unbelievably cool guys, too. You're right, "Lifetime" should be huge, but also should have been from the version off their last studio album - CLOSER.

Probably, also, because Frontiers is a European label - and I don't believe they currently have a US label deal. Until they do, or unless they release it here on thier own, you won't see a US release. Still, there are any number of good online sites listed on the mainpage that you could get a Euro version from, and at a decent price. NEH Music (http://www.nehrecords.com) springs to mind right aw

Well, I can tell you that "She Don't Know Me" from the first Bon Jovi album is a cover - I think Fair Warning was the band that did the original, but I can't exactly remeber at the moment. Someone please feel free to correct me on this one. Anyway, even though they didn't write that one - I can see what you mean about them with other songs - most notably on "I'll Be There for You

I just heard the band Constantine is/was in - PRAY FOR THE SOUL OF BETTY - as the album was re-released on Koch records to cash in on his American Idol hype. I had to check it out, due to morbid curiousity, I guess. All I can say is, some of the worst sounding, grunge derivative music I've ever heard! Think of every bad watered down grunge band that came out after the success of bands like Pearl

Good stuff! Their last album - GOOD MOURNING - was the one that finally caught my attention. Still haven't gotten any of their previous albums. Like Steverino, I wouldn't compare them to the bands you mentioned either - those bands are far too mainstream, and Alkalkine Trio are more on the outside.

I had this problem with it once. In my case, it was because a file that I was tring to put onto the player wasn't complete, or some such thing, so it created a glitch in the system . The fix is fairly simple, and you should be able to find detailed instructions on how to do it here... http://ask.americas.creative.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=ww_english,Company={CEAE216D-8719-4C00-AC9F-03

Yeah the Creative can playback WMA or MP3 - and it doesn't matter if you've got files in either format on there. (I've got some of both) With the software, you can rip CDs or other files from your computer in either format. You can also vary the kps rate from 64 on up. I currently rip most of the stuff for my player in WMA at 192 kps. I've just noticed a bit better sound at that rate, than sa

While I think the I-Pod looks a bit cooler, has more accessories available for it, and is smaller than the Creative Zen - I opted for the Creative. Mainly, it was because I was able to get twice as much storage space (I have the 40g Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra) at a bit more than half the price of a 20g I-Pod. The battery life is pretty good between rechargings, and you can replace it yourself, if n
