A well articulated response there ;) If it was based purely on the strength of a few songs then Don’t Come Easy would win, but, as I said, the back half of the album falls short for me and I don’t find much I dislike about Visions. That being said I am fully aware this will be an unpopular opinion. And it is just that, my own opinion.

Well since we just had an Unpopular Opinion thread just below I figured I would post one. Tyketto’s Don’t Come Easy is mostly considered a classic in the genre, and I agree that it is. It has not only two of my favorite songs Danny has ever done on it (Burning Down Inside and Standing Alone) but also one of my all-time favorite ballads in Standing Alone. The front half is fantastic but the

I love Roulette and the debut and while I am a bit weary of Prayer from having heard it a zillion times it is a classic and I have to side with it. However it is far from being one of my favorite Jovi songs.

I like enough of their stuff that I always check them out when they drop a new album. They hit around that time that several Christian bands were doing that style like Big Dismal, Day Of Fire, Seventh Day Slumber, etc. But they progressed past that sound to a more mellow P&W style now. I think Hearts Of The Innocent was my favorite as I recall but I seem to remember Sea Of Faces having some g

This is why I love this community. Music is wonderful and I love the discussions and discoveries that come from this board but something like this where someone shares something so personal and seeing all of the responses shows that this is a community that cares much beyond the music. Putting aside the petty differences and stepping up to show love and support to one of our own and showing that

I have dealt with depression in the past and I feel for you and anyone else who deals with it. That is a tough question though because there is no right answer anyone else can give you. Like with all things music it is subjective to your personal tastes so what worked for me may very well do nothing for you. What I suggest is to find songs that you love and listen to those. Songs and bands th

I like Miss Fourth Of July but one of my favorites from the box set is The Radio Saved My Life Tonight. I really like that one. There are some great songs on the box set and some that really had potential. I keep hoping they really do release that new box set for the 40th but talks of that have seemed to have disappeared.

Gregg was a great fellow. Had the chance to speak with him on several occasions and he was always as gracious and nice as could be. I love Blue Tears and Gregg’s voice. I miss him and the music that could have been. RIP. Still hoping Andrew or someone else is able to get a deal to re-release Blue Tears material and any other works Gregg had that did not see the light of day.

We’re all getting old buddy. Lol. My kids, the youngest being 18 now, are basically the same way. One, I think we had less to engage us (i.e. the internet, smart phones, endless TV Channels, streaming, social media, etc.). Two, and this kind of goes hand in hand with number one, we did not have the ability to simply log on to YouTube or Spotify or Apple Music or whatever and listen to almost

The very difficult decision was taken after much thought and by mutual agreement, reflective of the deep friendship that unites us. Due to various personal re

If you like Ratt you should check out their earlier stuff with Scott like Hammer And Nail or Triumphant Return. Scott had a very Pearcy-esque voice.

Exactly. That is part of the problem with the label, their refusal to accept any kind of criticism, even constructive. If you dare to critique an album you are very likely to be banned from the page, your comment deleted from YouTube, etc.

Terry, I don’t think the issue is whether we buy it or not. Obviously none of us are out buying every album the label puts out and we certainly don’t even have to listen to them all. I would never expect to like every release from any record label. For me the issue is how they have gone from releasing fewer albums but most were quite good, to releasing tons of albums with most (in my opinion)

It is a very good song and I am quite looking forward to the album. These guys have been on point for years now. Even their early stuff was rather good, especially considering how very young they were. However this song was posted and discussed in a thread a little further down the page so I don’t know that this one will get a whole lot of response, just FYI.

They officially made Hugh a member of the band finally. Shanks joined up. Phil X. Jon, David and Tico. Everett Bradley has been with the band since 2003 when he was on the live version of This Left Feels Right as background vocals and percussionist. He then joined the tour for This House Is Not For Sale and has been a part ever since. Not sure why the need for all of the guys unless it is to make

Well I was speaking of the one song, not the album in its entirety. To me this one single is better than the majority of what was on 2020. The album as a whole is yet to be seen. Not a great song by any stretch of the imagination but it is not bad.

Bon Jovi - Legendary I like it. It is not going to win over any new fans or make believers out of the doubters. It is Bon Jovi being the same Jovi they have been from The Circle on, but it is definitely a few steps up from the majority of 2020 in my opinion.

I think everyone here appreciates Frontiers and what they have done for melodic rock over the years. I certainly do and I own a few hundred titles the label has released. I don’t believe anyone hates them (though there is certainly no love lost towards some of the personnel that a few of us have had the displeasure of dealing with). What you are probably picking up on is not hate but disappoint
