Love both the new Styx and DeYoung...two fine releases that show the flooded melodic rock field how it's done...glad I picked up both of them up
on CD...stuff I can go back and play again and again without getting bored after a couple of songs. Forum: Noticeboard
Yeah it sounds like a couple of chords of another song...it should have been edited out but it's not that bad...pretty sure they used vinyl to master it from as there is a lot of album noise all over it...still sounds punchy though and I can live with it...but wish they had used the master tapes.
The Don't Touch Me There CD sounds great though. Forum: Noticeboard
Racing Time is hands down their best album...so glad I grabbed the box set when it was released...Shot Down In Flames and Guitar Alley are great to...but Racin' Time is classic!!! Rock Candy should be all over the Santers first 3 albums instead of doing stuff like Frankie Miller? Forum: Noticeboard
Had the album from when it came out and have loved it funky hard rockin' sound ever since...thankfully RC did a very good quality release of it because the Zoom Club version was awful. Forum: Noticeboard
Only Iris I have is Back On The Streets...maybe I should investigate these others...never been a fan of power pop or new wave though...do these other titles rock...love Breathless and there are some of the same musicians in his band? Maybe I'll have to You Tube these...for some reason I never gave Iris a chance back in the day but there must be something to his stuff with all the love it's getti Forum: Noticeboard
Love the Samson albums with Nicky Moore...can't remember the Mammoth stuff I think I had one but sold it...Samson on the other hand I have the cool Caroline box set with "Before The Storm" and "Don't Get Mad Get Even" and a bonus rarities disc that sounds great. Forum: Noticeboard
Really sad news...I love the Druckfarben stuff...Phil's vocals were great on those albums...f***in' cancer sucks...RIP Phil...gonna play some Druckfarben tonight...was looking forward to a new album. Forum: Noticeboard
Taz sounds great Terry...he plays with a lot of feeling and taste and isn't just shredding a million notes a minute...although obviously he can if he wanted to...looking forward to hearing more from this kid. Forum: Noticeboard
I'm with Carl and would start off with the Live album...so many good songs and some great musicianship...Wall Street Shuffle's a great tune.
Also like Sad Cafe...they had a really good guitarist and their Live album that finally got released on Lemon is a great place to start...not as quirky as 10cc but good just the same. Forum: Noticeboard

Did you check out the Triptych double disc (One Way) with Passage & Whirlwind Tong Forum: Noticeboard
Love Bloodrock to Terry...USA should of been a huge album...guess Terry Knight was too hung up with Grand Funk to give more attention to Bloodrock...grew up listening to most of the stuff Carl has listed and bought most of those albums when they were released...great times for music...great memories.
Would be killer if a label like Esoteric would do a Bloodrock boxset from the master tapes of Forum: Noticeboard
Got the LRB box set "The Capitol Years 1979 - 1986"...was well worth the money...contains "First Under The Wire", "Backstage Pass", "Time Exposure", "The Net", "Playing To Win" & "No Reins". Forum: Noticeboard
Love all the era's especially the first 6 albums with Ozzy...must be an age thing I grew up listening to them and saw them live around Sabotage and still love them to this day...love the Dio era albums as well. Forum: Noticeboard
I have the album and did a vinyl rip already that sounds cool...just wanted to know if the CD sounds like it's from master tapes and worth the upgrade & purchase...love the album and the musicians are the cream of the crop. Forum: Noticeboard
