nah ,i much prefer their poppier stuff,metal just ain't my thing,they peaked with seal the deal for me. but i shall check out the album ,but my expectations are much lower than for the other band that released new music yesterday .

early days ,only listened once so far ,but my overall impression is another solid release from Avantasia . never really cared about the old school Power metal songs ,but i dont mind them as long as there is the usual varity in the rest of the songs ,and it is ,plenty of goodies among the rest .

this style has zero staying power and depth for me ,but when i need an melrock quick fix,Dynazty are among the best imho. this new one sounds like their last 5 albums ,for good or bad .

up until 5 years ago i owned every album from them,but i growed so tired on nearly all those mellow prog bands that works mostly in the slow to mid tempo vein. so i kept a few albums from them and sold the rest. no regrets so far .

i agree with thinny re ,sambora and when a man loves a woman. otherwise ,i and my son travelled to denmark to see Runrig when Bruce guthro was their singer (RIP) and we got there early so we saw their soundcheck and they played Jethro tulls aqualung and it sounded fantastic.
