30151. Re: Psychic?
....and what if I told you that they're *not* the best songs from the album? Nobody had a gun to your head making you download the songs, don't feel cheated as the choice was your own. Likewise don't dismiss and album purely because you think covers albums are crap . There are good covers albums out there and there are bad ...and Yeah! doesn't fall into the bad category.

30153. Re: Tesla
If MR had the production that TGRC has then it might be better. Good songs but it doesn't sound too great these days. However, TGRC sounds amazing even now. Tesla are the closest any band from the USA has got to sounding like UFO in their prime......especially on those first 2 albums.

30159. MSA is right
The real Survivor is with Dave Bickler. Jimi's stuff is great but I can't get past the first 4 albums with Dave. To my mind Premonition, Eye Of The Tiger and Caught In The Game are superior to Jimi's output with the band. Only Too Hot To Sleep gets close to them, Vital Signs a close second. Dave's voice has something that Jimi's lacks.....and the songs were better with Dave. Sorry.....just my hu

Scott needs a check up from the neck up. Popeye really need to have someone inform him that he's not 'all that'....and really never was. Alter Bridge are a better band....musically and vocally than Creed and, YES I liked Creed. How anyone can accuse Myles Kennedy of having a bad voice is beyond me.

After the Get This EP I was looking forward to the album. Mistake. It's dead boring.......only 2 good songs and the rest is cod AC/DC meets Aerosmith fare you've heard a million times...and a million times better. Very disappointing.

How can you slag off an album that was, as stated, just demo recordings? I seem to remember that only Rock Steady was properly produced as it just missed inclusion on the debut. The first album is an all time classic. The second was never meant to BE an album. By the way...if anyone knows where I can find the live show that ' Is That All You Want ' from the debut was recorded from....I'd be et

Slang had nothing at all to do with Grunge. Did you even listen to it? You also missed the point, the time for another Slang was *after* Slang...to continue the reinvention of the band. They weren't brave enough and blew it. Now it's too late. The band seem to think that they are owed something, and also they seem to occupy the same headspace that they did in the late 80's. Leppard's time has b

Yeah, it's okay but has too much of the 'now' vocals . It's like The Killers gone for the rock vote. Okay but just doesn't have the conviction that I hear in 7 Lies. 7L have the 'throwback' quality...the sheer uncoolness that 7L have. Not to mention the BIG guitars of 7L. RKK sound like a record company's idea of what is 'hip and now'.

I don't think it's a downward spiral, as such I think it is merely that the band have not progressed enough from their sound when they needed to. They haven't reinvented themselves when the musical climate has shifted and, in all honesty they have made a rod for their own back with the songwriting post Slang. Slang was the benchmark...that was the band's big chance to still be relevant to the re

Name change was not voluntary, unfortunately. I had been working with Andrew for WEEKS trying to get my old password as I had forgotten it and the email address I had listed for that old name I never used and consequently I forgot the password to that too . No cloak and dagger, mate...just rank stupidity on my part.

Never liked this album at all. Then again I never liked TIR either I dunno, Steelheart never really lit my fuse. They always came across as WAY too contrived.

I think the album is excellent. The band's songwriting has come on in light years and they have ditched a lot of their 'nu' sound and gone for something a little more mainstream and more melodic. Great album. [ I thought The Reason was crap, actually]

7 Lies is excellent I have to admit. Totally took me by surprise. Shawn....Orson are not the same stylistically as 7 Lies. Hope you like them too, though. If you like 7 Lies you should look up an old Aussie band by the name of INVERTIGO. Great stuff.
