Didn't have the material on the debut? Are you kidding me? Get To You, Ritual, Forgot To Make Her Mine, Tamin' The Wild Nights, I'm So Sorry, Baby Don't Fade, Human and best of all Resurrect. It's a brilliant set of songs IMHO - I get that everybody's ears are different but I couldn't disagree more about this It's a FANTASTIC album with fantastic songs!!!

Fantastic album - one of the very best new prog metal (ish) talents out there right now. And you're right, the first album is terrific as well, although I do think A New Kind Of Sideways edges it.

Cracking band. Remind me a bit of Saga, but maybe that's just me... The new EP is terrific.

Normally I quite like Hipgnosis covers, but I think High 'n' Dry is a rubbish cover - the only bad thing about what is a fantastic album.

Sounds pretty good to me after first listen, although I agree it could do with ne of those classic Thunder ballads just to break it up a little.

After all the fuss, this is the best Sunstorm album since the debut. And a great performance from Ronnie Romero. Terrific stuff.

Listened all way through just the once, and I like what I hear. It's what you'd expect - pomp-infused AOR. It may seem a slightly ridiculous comment, but it sounds like Touch, maybe with slightly more of an edge on occasion. Songs that caught the ear on first listen: the title track, mid album run of Fire And Ice, Trippin' Over Shadows and Frozen Ground is terrific, Scream At The Sky, Swan Son

If this is what's defined as a supergroup these days then God help us all. I assume that's why the word is in quotation marks.

I must say I've never got into these guys before - but I started listening based on the Dann Huff connection. The early albums with the Huffs are pretty average IMHO, but when they hit their stride with Freedom (1989), Powerhouse (1990) and Tales Of Wonder (1992), there's some brilliant stuff. I appreciate that the lyrical content isn't everyone's bag, but it's not too "in your face".

You lost me on this one. LOTR - 100% album TTB - 99% album - and the only reason I dock 1% is because I prefer LOTR. Still remember hearing I'll See You In My Dreams on the radio (Fluff Freeman's show if I remember right). I was a student in Edinburgh at the time, and it was straight down to Virgin at the west end of Princes Street the very next day. I was pretty broke but sometimes food

As soon as it's permitted, I will go straight back to live concerts, live sports etc. Apart from the fact that these industries need our support to recover, it's how I want to live my life, it's what I want to do. I don't believe I'm alone in this. Once the vaccine has been rolled out, I expect the ability to have full venues - apart from the financial necessity for those running events, it'

SW certainly sounds in great voice. There was a previous thread on this a couple of months ago, and there was some suggestion that he recorded the vocal 20+ years ago. Don't know if this is the case. Does anyone know if he sings on more songs on the album, or just this one?
