Just got back from the Chester gig, great fun. They look like they're having a ball and feeling their way into each other's songs, ad libbing harmonies etc and I get the feeling they'll get better as the tour progresses.

Depends on the band - some have a great reputation as live acts and have different setlists, different versions/arrangements etc - Black Crowes, Govt Mule, Pearl Jam, Springsteen. Some become better musicians over time or have early albums with crap budgets etc which are improved: argue about how 'live' it is, but Live And Dangerous had definitive versions of some of their songs. I'm liking the new album but not loving it - there are some good tunes it but the rockers don't catch and some tunes like Finest Hour, Bullet Blues and Going Through Motions are just dull. I'm listening to Warwick's 'Patsy Cline..' album more, and tunes like Damascus St, Celebrating Sinking and the title track might have worked better than the BSR tunes, with a few Gorham guitar flourishes on the

The first album is by far the best, the record company reigned in his over the top solos on the second album. There were some good moments on there for sure though. But its the first that does it for me. The third EP is so over the top and hard to find, i sold my last copy laste year for a lot of money. The word on the street is that he will be releasing Guitarmageddon through itunes later thi

This indeed is a great album and at the helm is Chris Laney who was behind the sound of Crashdiet and Steevi Jaimz. All great stuff. Check out Steevi Jaimz demos on myspace - Awesome, I think one track was on the last Classic Rock Magazine.

We are coming down from Scotland - can you imagine driving all that way and paying for a hotel and then not getting in? Can tickets be purchased earlier in the day from the box office?" I wi
