I actually like the idea NB are going with. The idea that you download tracks which are digitally signed makes perfect sense. That way leaks can be traced back. NB also offered two options, one where an editor could download and hence be responsible for every album they review. The second option was for the PR guy to send links out to individual reviewers. As a site we went for the fist option,

Stream Of Passion - Rotherham back in January was a pretty awesome show Breed 77 in Stockton - anything that could go wrong did and the band played on. No tanrtrums, no histrionics

Got to agree with the Avantasia comments here. Both cracking albums and Sammet has started work on a third installment as well, which hopefully will be just as good. As for Edguy themselves. As many have stated both Hellfire Club & RocketRide are excellent albums. Hair Force One, for a pastiche has to be one of the best sounding 80's songs since, well the 80's really.

Too many bad gigs to remember them all but some that stick in the mind Chrome Molly at Lancaster Sugarhouse circa 1990 - about 5 people there and none of us were interested.. WASP at Rock City on the Neon God tour a couple of years ago... that bloody awful mike stand UFO at Newcastle City Hall in 2004, Phil Mogg looked like he was constipated all the way through Blcak Crowes at Donington supp

Should mention that Pagan's Quest/Power Quest was at Krash in Newcastle not Trillians - so can't blame them for that one. All the same both bands put on a great show. The venue however 'boasted' so I am led to believe that they put out 200 flyers for the show, how's that for good promotion. Mind you Biomechanical only managed about 50 or so in Trillians on a Sunday despite being a free gig, no

My thoughts exactly Troy. I seem to recall Mr Neil wearing a No Axel T-Shirt on stage at Donington in '91. Guess both will be figthing in the super heavyweight division these days as well... Mind you given the past histories of these two bands, concert cancellations, curtailments and the like, will anyone actually risk buying a ticket for the show. if so they are braver than me. What's the bett

Saw Alter Bridge on Saturday in Newcastle. To be honest up until Satrurday I was put off Alter Bridge by my undeniable hatred of anything Creed related, however I am now an utter convert. They rocked the f**k out of the Academy and agree with everyone who says Myles Kennedy is a hell of a frontman... This is stadium rock for 21st century...

Yeah we posted the tour details on the news section of our website last month, including the date at the Rosetta Bar in Belfast as shown on the BOD website. However then got a few emails from people in NI stating that the show wasn't going to happen, hence the fact we never included the date in our gig guide. Of course the show is still advertsied on the BOD site but there was a thread on www.

Got to agree with Russ, it certainly looks like Championship football for us (Sunderland) next season, but you never know stranger things have happened. We do have Villa, Birmingham & Liverpool at home this month and none of those teams have any sort of away form at the minute so a couple of wins and things might look slightly better. Will plump for a draw against Villa though otherwise I may

No support last night in Bradford, but a fantastic nite all round. Not certain about support for Dudley but at the Camden Underworld a French band call Moonstone is supporting I believe (website www.moonstones.fr). Will have a review and photos from the Bradford show online tomorrow.

Have to say I agree with Coco on And Justice For All, almost as good an album as Master song wise, but Jason Newsted must have wondered why he ever bothered joinign the band for all you can hear his bass on the mix.. Another few that I would throw into the discussion are 1) Bon Jovi 7800 Fahrenheit, IMO the four or five of the the best songs on any Jovi album in Tokyo Road, hardest Part Is Th
