FUCK is hands down my favourite album of all time, by anyone anywhere. It's THE album that turned me on to VH full time. I can't say enough. It's almost 100% perfect. Literally the only problem with that album is that they let songs fade, a huge pet peeve of mine. The sounds is glorious, amazing production, amazing songs. Just perfect.

I agree completely with the above. Loads of potential. The melodic rock stuff is best.

Upon another listen, it doesn't get better, and the solos are just off the cuff. I wish Slash would have "written" and practiced the solos, because he has been very epic in the past.

Agreed with everyone above. The sound is terribly thin. And it does sound like it was live in a room, and that's not a compliment. The songs are just really not up to the standards of the past. I'm somewhat amazed this was released because these seem like songs you play to get out of your system before you lay down the really good stuff. It's a waste, and a shame because I really love Slas

RIP good sir. I have many fond memories in my teens with your music playing at parties. Ain't no one that didn't get on a chair or table to sing there heart out with the chorus of Paradise by the Dashboard Light. But Objects and Anything for Love are my favs.

Damn man, who cares about these albums, release the SH era albums remastered, and hell, remixed. Don't need another version of the over released "First 6 VH albums".

Sums up my feelings towards the whole thing as well.

This was like pulling teeth, especially at the end to make a perfect 100. I first narrowed my whole library down to a whopping 466 songs, and I was like, how the heck am I gonna cut that down to 100. By the time I got to 200 I just had to rip the band aid off. I didn't give myself rules but went off of having a variety of songs/bands and some are not my favourite songs or bands but they repr

For me, after Mafia, it just got stale, or like you said, monotonous. Some good songs here and there, but nothing really "new". I still get everything, but that's more the collector than a "fan" nowadays. A very long way from the amazing No Rest for the Wicked and No More Tears days.

Van Halen - Poundcake. Those natural harmonics in the verses...blew my mind, never heard anything like that, and I was forever changed.

It's not bad. It's also not great. But got to say, that solo was epic. Who plays on that?

That's frightening and I'm glad for you that you were lucky enough to get it figured out before something worse. Sounds like your health is really great otherwise and good for you. That health will get you back up much faster than it would have otherwise. Best of luck to you.

Frankly, no one else is doing it. Surely not the VH camp themselves, whatever the excuse is.

Funny because the last album I really love, and it holds a special place in my heart because I was listening to it when my wife and I travelled to Italy and Switzerland (a once in a lifetime trip for us). So experience is a big part of liking an album too I believe.

Dead Inside is good, Bite the Bullet is probably my favourite along with Dying Breed. Does anyone have the other bonus track, Ain't No Fun? Would love to hear that.

Song length doesn't bother me. I'm a fan of Dream Theater, and a long 25 minute song (In the Presence of Enemies) is just perfect. I love the new Iron maiden. 4 songs over 10 minutes, and others around 7 minutes. It's great. That said, I do like a solid album with songs all around the 4ish minute mark. Example, the excellent new Tremonti album. Hard Rocking, variable, and only one long 7

I'm going to suggest all of you interested or suffering to watch this pretty amazing TED Talk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGq3MXQlRJs Since my tinnitus has gotten worse in the last few months, I started looking into it more and came across this information. This isn't selling anything, just learning more about how this can come about. I found it EAR opening LOL.

Won't that cause more damage? It mostly concerns me because of the spike that happened in April and hasn't gotten better.
