I don't think any of us would be on this forum if there wasn't something about the music we listen to that gives us chills! I have many examples, but perhaps my first that was in any way related to rock music was Magnum's Les Morts Dansant - specifically the moment at 2:58 (studio version) where Tony cranks up! But the whole song is a masterclass in how to build emotion with music. The line ju

Surely a little harsh. Yes, Bob's voice IS a little rough around the edges these days - but so is the material Tony is writing. And on this album there are ma

Saw it at 00:01 Friday in plain old 24fps 2D. Going today to see it in 48fps IMAX 3D, so I guess that means I enjoyed it? It also means I get to see the 9 minute preview of the new Star Trek movie!! SENSORY OVERLOAD... :D

Don't actually listen to it often because great songs or not, the drum sound is woeful. But yeah - great songs (not too keen on the first four tracks, but still by no means bad) as always from the mighty pen of Tony Clarkin!

According to one of their FB pages, they have 15 new songs and NG is insisting that they hit the studio to record... We shall see.

VERY excited that PB & NG are ditching Journey and doing a few dates in their own right in the Spring - one of them close to me in St Charles, IL. I can never be bothered to head to the big box/bucks arenas for the (boring) likes of Journey, so am really looking forward to hearing one of my very few musical heroes live for the first time. She is an INCREDIBLE talent, and hubby Neil Giraldo is

CD is taken! The first person who emailed me has already heard the good news. I got quite a bunch of other replies, so this note will have to do as a 'sorry, you didn't win - you were too slow' message!

I bought this on the strength of Andrew's review. No offense or controversy intended, but it is 100% bland as far as I am concerned so would be happy to send it on to someone who may appreciate it. Just email me [ illimey@yahoo.com ] First message with shipping address wins! I'll even pay the shipping for ya.

Great review Andrew. Seems to pretty much match my own thoughts with of course a few differences about favorite songs. It's wonderful to listen to this album and be able to pick out passages that remind me of so many other great Magnum songs, without ever feeling as if I'm listening to something stale or old. There are a few moments where I am close to finding a riff or two overused and familiar,

So here I am in the USA, where the album doesn't get released until Oct. 2. Of course that meant I pre-ordered from Europe (Switzerland, to be precise) and it appears that I have it stuffed into my grubby little ears before some of you in the UK do! First impressions are generally positive. Firstly, A couple of absolutely monster tracks (Dance Of The Black Tattoo, and See How They Fall) on

Will need a few listens. I appreciate the quality of the song, but as many have said - it's all so one pace these days. That means there are few immediate hooks anymore in what Tony writes. However The Visitation wormed its way into my soul like nothing else since the 'reformation'! Hopefully this new album will have the same ultimate impact.

As a (socially, not necessarily politically) conservative, evangelical, fundamentalist Christian, I am the first to agree that many Christian rock songs have terrible lyrics. Bad writing is bad writing, regardless of the philosophy of the writer. However it is absolutely fascinating that some here admit that even the mention of a simple NAME is enough to set them into a tailspin! There must be so
