According to The Pulse Of Radio, former JOURNEY frontman Steve Perry says he's written about 50 songs which are in the running for his upcoming solo album. The still-unnamed project will mark his first new album since 1994's "For The Love Of A Strange Medicine" collection. Perry talked to Classic Rock magazine about the new album, saying, "A little over a year-and-a-half ago, I fel

Already sounds like it will be better than GTBB, looking forward to it. Note in the Aldrich interview he said they have Donington 1990 ready to go for the next release. Even though I wasn't a fan of the Vai era, this is a killer show

I agree with Kenneth, I'm a massive fan of Whitesnake, but try as I could, I just don't dig Good To Be Bad. Aldrich's a killer guitarist, but not a very good songwriter IMO - Cov should have grabbed Marsden and Vandenberg to help out with the writing, hoping the new one is better

It's really not about knowledge mate, if it sounds muddy to YOU, then it sounds muddy. As I previously stated, if you listen to Back In Black or any Zeppelin album, these were recorded live in a room, with minimal overdubs. They still sound superior to 99% of any music recorded today, they also sound crisp, not muddy, and you can almost hear the ''air'' in these recordings which is missing from t

Shirley's trying to make it sound old school and failing miserably. He should listen to a Led Zeppelin album or Back In Black before mixing next time.

Phil's still struggling with the same lick he's been trying to master since 83 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6WIFSKJttM&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGKge51GFFQ Sykes and Campbell smoke him as guitarists. If you watch the live Euphoria dvd, whenever Campbell does a solo, Collen will always do the outro solo and douche it up with that horrible sloppy fast run.

LOL! Collen's not even half the guitarist Sykes is, there's no way his fragile little ego would have allowed it, he's still struggling with that fast run he's been trying to master for 20 years

Just thought I'd say, I'm a huge TNT fan and have all their albums, and I hated the last 2, but this one's a winner, one of the best release this year IMO, the only negative thing I have to say about it is, Le Tekro can't solo any more, but his guitar tone is HUGE

His vocal albums are mega melodic (much more than What If...), have you heard Burning Organ or Alligator Farm or Flying Dog or United States?

I agree, heard the album a few times now back to back, huge fan, and I'm massively disappointed. Undertow was such a great first single, All The Way Up, is pretty cool, but the rest of the album just has no hooks to my ears. Agree about EM's vocal mix too, annoying at times! Mr. Big was always a songs first, solo's second type of band, and that's cool, cos I think Lean Into It is their finest wor
