Parasite is only on the single, NOT on the Japanese version (which is exactly like the European - just checked my own copies). /Janne

Here's a quick "review": First tracks starts off in sort of an AC/DC mode which is different, but still not bad. After this it just goes wrong. They move into some strange ambient dance type weird shit with lots of synthetic sounds, loops and Geoff Tate more talking than singing. A far cry from who he used to be as a singer. Sometimes they try to be some modern type Pink Floyd, witho

Yes, I have received a digital promo of the entire album. To be honest I listened through all of the first 2-3 songs, but I thought it was so bad I just browsed through the rest. I will of course give it a few more attempts, but at a first glance it didn't do anything for me. It felt like they were trying to hard to be "modern", plus Geoffs vocals weren't exciting at all. Like I said,

The album truly sucks, at least in my book. Love the early stuff, but this isn't my cup of tea at all.

I play on the Grand Design track, but I of course ordered a copy, too! Great cause! Have two tracks (Overdrive and Locomotive Breath) on the forthcoming Lion Music comp, too.

Overdrive - "Angelmaker" Our singer doesn't use it. We didn't use it on the Constancia album either. (Sorry, double post for some reason)

Saw Pretty Maids at Tivoli in Copenhagen two days ago. Hal is out of the band but the new (temporary?) bass player worked really well. He's a better player than Hal to be honest, but I guess that chicks won't be drooling like they did when Hal removed his shirt :-). Personally I prefer a great musician ;-) Great show, but the sound was weird. Met a lot of cool Maids-fans there, too!

Wolfgan's Vaults have some really cool stuff! Unfortunately not all are up for purchase. Found a really cool Cobra show with lots of unreleased stuff, plus a "cover" of Foreigner's "Head Games" where Jimi says "Here's a song they say I stole" or something like that. They also have some cool stuff by The Babys etc.

Rocknut is right on the money. The band doesn't own the rights to the old recordings which is why they re-record them to get a piece of that action. I can't blame them for that. Plus they actually really enjoyed recording with Micke Nord Andersson and Martin Hansen. Unfortunately the original is often so much more that just a song. There are memories and feelings connected to "that" sou

Unfortunately... I agree. I was very disappointed. They didn't appeal to me at all. Didn't like the singer, didn't like the songs. You can't even compare them to bands like Electric Mary, The Answer, Gentleman's Pistols or UK's The Psychics on the same day. Too bad, I had high hopes reading the news being a 70s fan

I totally agree! Worst album they ever put out. Couldn't even get through it!

That's weird. I was in touch with them only a week ago and they didn't mention it! I've received no e-mail about updates and I regularly review their releases.

I paid (not a fortune, but still well enough) to have a track by BALLS on the new AC/DC Tribute released by Versailles Records. It was very delayed but it came and it's fine so far. However, when I check the CD they have squeezed in 32 (!!) tracks, and to do so, they have cut the tracks short maybe a minute! I e-mailed them about it (the contract sure don't mention it), but no reply. Have any
