You really are a complete arse. Nothing in my post said or inferred I am any better (or worse) than anyone else. Listening to Journey when no one knew them doesn't make me a better fan, but I did prefer it then because complete wankers like you were invisible to me. You are an insecure piece of shit who seems to believe he is better than anyone else because you listen to loads of stuff. Is

That was part of the attraction for me. Saw them at Birmingham Odeon in 1979 and I did go to the Rainbow in 1980. The fac that no one else had heard of them made it all the sweeter. Next time in the UK was 2006 (I think) with Augeri. I had to go to the US for others, Little Rock in 82. NYC 1999, Charlotte NC 2001, Kansas City 2003 and Vegas 2005. I like it less now that they're popular - I

My point was in answer to comments on other posts that Journey are a 3-4 minute song band, catchy chorus' etc, inferring that people want more of what they've done previously, hence an Escape or Evolution II. So 'who the hell said...', someone on this board did - several actually. Just becasue this isn't exactly the same as their other stuff doesn't mean it's no good. And by the way, I felt

So I now have it, after all the banter below. Let me be clear, I'm a huge fan. I have everything they ever recorded (including singles,12" singles etc), had Evolution, Any Way You Want It and Departure signed in London in 1980, been invited into 2 sound-checks (1980 and 2001) and have travelled the world to see them. So what do I think? Let's get real. Journey are never, nor were

Sad Cafe Look beyond 'that' single, they were a great melodic rock band - On With The Show live was awesome

Have you got the bootleg of the 2 CD set? It's pretty good. I got it off the 80's bootleg site http://ppfinder.proboards.com/index.cgi

The topic on songs that define Melodic Rock got me thinking when I put Ask The Lonely by Journey. This song, as well as Only The Young were rejected by Columbia from Frontiers in favor of Back Talk (surely one of the worst ever Journey songs) and Troubled Child. ATL and OTY still feature in the live set so you can see what the band think, and they've said in interviews that the decisions we

Tough choice and it does vary, maybe No Justice (Harem Scarem) or Ask The Lonely (Journey)

From the title, I thought it was a new album by Glenn Hughes, and 1 -10 was the track-listing. On reflection, that would be excellent!

I like them both. My only issue is the tone of Neal's guitar, it's been like this for a while now especially on the lead breaks - a bit samey and whiney compared to the crystal clarity of earlier Journey stuff.

There used to be a 'Flat View' option where you could scroll down all the posts on a topic without having to click on each one. can you do that now?
