Shortest - Propaganda at Salford Uni in the mid 80's - 45 mins tops including playing one song (Duel) twice - although I have to say the 45 mins were excellent longest - not sure, have never seen Springsteen sadly but have seen a number of bands comfortably topping 2 hours

Ha Ha - I remember local TV making a fairly big deal out of it at the time - before Sky and all that :-) It's not far from me so will hopefully check it out soon...

Well, Rush are comfortably my favourite band of all time so I clicked on the link prepared to be disappointed - I wasn't, that guy has some talent!

That one trumps everything for me! I am a massive Kate Bush fan and count myself lucky to have attended one of the Before the Dawn Hammersmith gigs in 2014 - but 1979 wow!!

Radiohead - Class, talented and inventive - The Bends is a great album, as is OK Computer

I almost regard the Fish era and H era as different bands - and I love them both in equal measure for different reasons... Best Albums IMO; Fish era - Script (but most will say Clutching at Straws/Misplaced Childhood) H era (and best Marillion album overall) - Marbles

Mick, I am entitled to an opinion - I didn't say that he didn't deserve the boot (he did) but all could have been handled better. I will watch my football where I choose and don't need to prove my city fan credentials to anyone. I know there are many around me at city (I still go when I can) who have similar concerns about the way the club is going. As for Accie, they are local to me an

Bruce, that is kind of my point... Both clubs have shown in my opinion great disrespect to their managers this season and ride roughshod over people in a simple quest for £s I used revel in calling Old Trafford a tourist trap, now my club is getting just as bad I could write a book on this - it would be called "Be careful what you wish for"

As a city fan it looks like the only saving grace of utd winning the cup has disappeared overnight! Utd will undoubtedly win stuff under Jose but I'm not sure it will be any more exciting. Expect sales of half and half city/utd scarves (that were selling like hot cakes at the recent etihad derby) to rocket! Accrington Stanley for me again next season....

Try Imperial College London summer accommodation. It's right behind the Royal Albert Hall. Stayed there once when I went with the Mrs to see Pink at Hyde Park and it was pretty good for the money. (Just checked Princes Gardens is £108 for a double Inc breakfast and access to gym) - not bad for London!)

Nothing yet - I think it is a safe bet that it IS going ahead and indications were that details would be released (hopefully through Steve Price as usual) by end Jan (so now expect something in Feb). It would be good to know soon with hotels and (for others) flight prices only going up!

Morse v SW - I agree with much of that (and you probably wouldn't have SW on your New Years Eve party playlist!) But I just think there is a bit more variety to his song writing than Morse. I think I prefer Morse era SB to his solo stuff, and SW solo to PT - but again, only my opinion! Like yourself, Terry, I'm old enough to have been brought up on prog (my first love)!

Although he seems to get a regular mention around these parts, he is not a musical fit (and is not, by any stretch, melodic rock) - so it should be no surprise that many round here simply don't 'get' him. He is a massive deal around progressive rock circles (and rightly so IMO) - as with everything else on this board, it is just about opinions. But opinions aside, his album sales and theatre
