Some youtube covers artists are making a decent amount via Patreon doing covers. One solo artist whose patreon i saw was making around 5k a month just doing covers. Question is would she be making that if releasing her own stuff? Plus the youtube channel is monetised, then possibility of influencer deals... One case in point: Minniva. Patreon 303 Patreons giving $1745 per cover. If y

Gonna add three i've found on youtube. All by the band Blacktop Mojo. Sadly only Dream On seems to be available commercially. Dont know too much about the band other than they are from Texas and have a couple of albums out. Against All Odds (Phil Collins) In Colour (Jamey Johnson) Dream On (Aerosmith)

Whats your favourite rock cover version? Perhaps a cover of a pop song that presents the song in a totally different light? Every so often one goes viral - Disturbed, Bad Wolves but there has to be some other really good ones around...

Anyone have any contact details for Fireworks Magazine? Ive ordered some digital copies (which was a ballache with a very slow loading website) but I'm not sure if the order has gone through because although the payment has gone through paypal, the magazines are still in my basket. The contact page won't load and the email that the paypal payment goes to is bouncing back as refused... Bi

I didn't like every song Steve sang. I hate to see a band which appears to be just going through the motions. Where's the passion? Btw - i don't think its that catchy at all!

Exactly as Figge says 1. Lipservice 2. Domino Effect 3. Need To Believe. Also the Live in Switzerland cd/dvd. They were on fire with their output just prior to Steve's death. Personal opinion, albums after that had possibly 1 track I would listen to again. If after a compilation album of the albums previous to the ones above - One Team One Spirit. 2CD with 1 of rockers and 1 of bal

Agreed 100% Steve. Its as if it's a totally different band (and not in a good way). I know its just a promo video and not live, but none of the band other than the lead singer (sorry dont know who he is) seems to want to be there. No enjoyment on their faces at all.

The Bullring Birmingham one is a result of them opening a massive one in the old Toys R Us (opposite the old Carling Academy)

Just change the url to read pwnyoutube.com/ ............. eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkFHYODzRTs becomes pwnyoutube.com/watch?v=TkFHYODzRTs Lots of options there. The videovor option seems to work fine here. (Id recommend having an adblock though - some of these sites can be full of popups) The Advantage of this method is the options seem to be updated/pruned regula

Saw them twice. Once at Birmingham Symphony Hall and one at the old Carling Academy also in Brum. Two of the best gigs I've seen.

To me, a band always seems a different band once the singer changes. Runrig, Gotthard, Queen, Spandau Ballet etc. The singers voice is what most people recognise about a band. Change that and its not the same imo

Even allowing for the 'up to three hours', this has now been over 10 hours. My other concern is that the payment went to an aol address according to paypal but when i email that address it bounces back as not existing...
