Prefer his 80s stuff over the 70s. Really like this one, Premonition, and When All The Pieces Fit is a great slice of slick AOR!

Honestly, I believe it when I hear it. Besides, I don't think he's able to write anything close in quality to their 80s stuff. Same goes for Joey.

Wasn't he unhappy with the more commercial direction they were taking? Which is ironic considering that Total Control and in particular the track Love Is Meant To Last Forever is like a carbon copy of TFC.

Yes, live still untouchable, just amazing how well his voice has held up over the decades.

Loved her! Funny, outspoken, could really dish it out in a time when that was rare for showbusiness women, sexy in a non-bimbo/sexual way, the kind of woman you'd probably never get bored with.

Funny, I was never really into The Poodles, but I love his solo record and this project also sounds great. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yes, this is great! The closest thing to Dokken they have done in a long time.

Stranger In This Town is great, I still listen to this on a regular basis. Undiscovered Soul has its moment but is a bit too middle-of-the-road for me. Aftermath Of The Lowdown I liked even less. His new one is done and he teased a new tune months ago.

I had to turn off when Toby Hitchcock began to sing, that voice gives me the willies.

I didn't own a single LZ album on CD until I bought the Japanese mini-sleeve boxset a few years ago.

Yeah, an absolutely pointless project at this point. This doesn't sound any different than the previous lineup. At least Joel and Jeff will most likely have gotten a check that will cover a monthly mortgage payment.

Funny, was thinking the same thing, has a Megadeth vibe to it. First impression is positive.

No disrespect to her, but why was she nominated for best guitar player of 2022? That stuff on her youtube channel is average at best—total cookie-cutter player.

Thank you youtube once again! Great find, never heard of them before, they did one album in 1989 for Columbia – Mark Williamson, singer, and studio drummer John Robinson with LA's creme de la creme session guys like Lukather, Paich, Stubenhaus, Landau, Clempson, and many more, style-wise close to Toto. Don't really hear the Judas Priest connection either other than the title track of Headhunter, that one I could easily imagine Halford singing. Great album to this day, nothing ever came close. I like Metal Rendezvous for its diversity and The Blitz for its AOR sound. I didn't mind the more polished sound and Storace's smoother vocals at all. Hardware is by far their worst from those days, Once V

It's a bit like a couple arguing about each other's spending habits over a joint bank account and credit cards. I wouldn't be surprised if Schon actually splashes more cash.

Downright criminal all the missed opportunities from this band. Nobody in that camp ever gave a fuck.

Acquired taste for me! Didn't like them initially all that much, then in the mid-80s it finally clicked. One of the most original bands of that era. Nobody ever sounded like them!

Interesting, I thought the Chickenfoot albums were patchy, but the good tracks are miles ahead of anything The Circle has released so far. The best track is the Target bonus track 2120.

He was on Trunk just recently where he stated that this is his best solo album, both musically and lyrically. I find that hard to believe. As much as I love his music, I never rated him that highly lyrically, especially post-Marching To Mars. He sounded, at least by his standards, a bit downbeat in that interview. He won't tour in 2023 and wasn't sure how he will continue from this point on fo

Yes, I agree. Feed The Machine had probably the most mature lyrics, at least for their standards.

Wasn't the reason he decided to manage the band himself because of that trademark issue where they lost a ton of money over the years? It's certainly no excuse, especially if you lack the skills and experience.

I'm sure he would have had any of these projects actually taken off. The same goes for Mandy, he made a career of playing second fiddle in all bands after this and Katmandu. At least some of those songs ended up in Gotthard, although I prefer Jimi's and Steve's vocals in Looking At Me.

Dreadful, to be honest. His singing and playing are devoid of any hooks and melodies.

It seems with Schon managing the band things aren't really working either. The trademark issues were really strange as well. Funny how some bands just never get the business side straight. Then you have bands like Metallica where business matters were always in order even during the dysfunctional years.
