I'm also giving the new Crazy Lixx album it's first spins today. That 7:24 song to close the album is quite good, but it has a 90 second fade on it! It literally could have been 6:10, and not as annoying.

A few of those might have been on there BMG, once I got to a certain point I focused on mostly what surprised me. Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Rush wouldn't surprise me. I can check on Monday when I get back to work to confirm.

I just had a look at the "Active Rock" rolling 7 day charts at Mediabase. This encompasses all reporting radio stations across the USA, and was shocked to see some of our rare bands showing up in the bottom half of their top 750. Check it out. 3. AC/DC 15. Ozzy Osbourne 23. Aerosmith 28. Van Halen 32. Motley Crue 45. Def Leppard 65. Scorpions 66. Mammoth WVH 73. Bon Jovi 8

I was at work today when I got a notification that Crazy Lixx was doing a Facebook live so I checked it out. It was Danny at home just chatting with fans in the hours before "Street Lethal" was being released. Some interesting notes that fans might be interested in..... - He's working on Chez Kane 2 right now - hopes to attend the next Monsters Of Rock cruise - says the "Cra

Loved opening night in Seattle, the atmosphere was electric! I hope they do well. Speaking of us in B.C. pulling for the Seahawks......just to prove the point our radio station in Kamloops is carrying all the Seahawks games this season. I'm the guy who programmed it!

This reminds me of the time I was filming Airbourne when singer Joel O'Keefe fell off the stage and tore up ligaments in his knee. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRfInrLG3Ts Crazy MOFO got hauled up onto the stage and finished the damn show. At the end he screamed "THANK YOU KAMLOOPS, I'M OFF TO THE HOSPITAL!!" lol. Ultimate Classic rock used my vid on their website!

After our "best of #1's poll", Foreigner got a lot of votes for the next one so here we are. Back to the basics, Top #5 studio albums with a 10-7-5-3-1 scoring system. I only have their greatest hits album so cannot participate, and for this one no sub poll. Top 5 Foreigner studio albums.....GO!

My second favorite album of theirs behind Destroyer. For the same reasons, I was too young to understand this was a departure from their earlier music. To my 11 year old self, it just sounded awesome! In fact at the time I was totally unaware that long time Kiss fans didn't like this record because I was in too small a town to know any. This was their first "new release" after I disc

The thread has died on Page #3, time for the results. We took the #1 albums of the previous 15 album polls, and put them head to head to see how they stacked up against each other. Due to the iconic nature of the albums, we went with a Top 7, with a 15-12-9-7-5-3-1 point allocation. Here are the results: 1. Def Leppard - Pyromania 437 2. Van Halen - Van Halen 362 3. Journey - Escape 31

Yes "No Justice" I think was the official single and got some air play on Canadian stations. Not enough to make the album a global break out that garyt was referring to. Very cool your station played Sentimental Boulevard, my favorite from the record and I played it a few times on my Hair feature the last couple years, but I don't think they even released that as a single did they?

I think the reason for that is it came out in 1993, and they are from Canada. Few albums like this came out in the 90's, and no way any radio would touch this music then, and if they did it would be Canadian stations only to fullfill Can Con requirements.
