I remember thinking there was a big drop off from the first album to the second. I didn't like the follow up at all. I have both in my collection, I will give a re-visit.

Thank you to all those who had Ghost on their lists. This thread is the first I had ever heard of them so gave the new album a spin. Liking it!!!

Unleash The Beast from 1997 was pretty fantastic. I did a deep dive into Saxon's back catalog in the summer of 2020. even posted about it here and got tonnes of comments on what albums to check out. I listened to them for a straight month non-stop. From that deep dive I made a Saxon 30 song playlist that I revisit frequently. I preferred the 80's and 90's stuff to the 2000's, but do think C

I remember this real cool song in the movie Cat People and when I did some digging it was the David Bowie song. First Bowie tune I ever heard.

Yes you're right, very Taylor Swiftish "boys done me wrong" theme to the album. Very strong musically as you mentioned, and I think there are at least three songs on here I would put in her top 10. "Avalanche", "Dare To Love Me", and "Kiss Me Like The World Is Ending" is some of the best work she's done.

Agreed, a couple good songs on every album but the albums don't go down as very memorable. This new one could change that. I don't expect it to be as well received as Under My Skin, but I could see this being her #2 album on many people's lists. It is on mine already.

This has been a great two weeks for new releases. For starters, I think the new Degreed album will be my album of the year. After a string of quality releases, this one for me is their best. Stunning Stunning stuff. Then I heard the new Reckless Love album. I know some here are dismayed by the synch rock approach to the singles, but the album has great songs. Far superior to their last al

I had no clue this was coming until I checked the Itunes music charts yesterday to see how the new Scorpions album was doing. Tears For Fears was at #2, Scorps at #4. Avril Lavigne was #1, and I have to say, it's pretty good. My second favorite Avril album behind Under My Skin.

Treat is one of the bands I discovered here on this site, but not until the 2010 album was released. I never was aware of them then 80's / 90's. I love the three latest albums. I did stream one of their older albums a few months back but don't remember anything standing out.

Don, if I didn't know any better I'd think you liked Prism. Henry Small was our radio competition for years, he was the morning man at our competing radio station up till a year ago.

Awesome to hear!!!! Is the synth sound running through the entire record? The three singles so far, are they standouts or who do the other tracks stand up?

I remember the band was very disappointed that the label wouldn't let them released "Don't Walk Away" as a single. In 1989, it could have been huge.

Autograph "You Can't Hide From The Beast Inside" from the "Fright Night" Soundtrack. I think it was written between their first two albums. A solid tune but rare. April Wine's "Rock Myself To Sleep" from the same soundtrack is pretty awesome too.

Dig the song but agree on the poor production. The full album of B-sides "Unfinished Business" had similar production if I remember correctly.

From the below thread: I'm thinking we should have waited for Kauna to start this thread as he developed it. Sorry about that. It was a false start, but no big deal. I just want to see people's lists regardless where they are posted :)

You have been sent to a beautiful beach for the rest of your days, you are allowed to bring an Ipod with only 100 songs on it, the only songs you'll ever listen to again. What songs are they? For those who posted below please feel free to post again. My 100 songs aren't necessarily my favorite 100, but I choose songs that bring me back to every period of my life since I was child. I wante

Hey Nice to see a fellow Chvrches fan on here! Screen Violence was my #2 album of the year behind Crazy Lixx. Do you know other artists similar to them I should check out? I posted once on Chvrches about a year ago and the post got zero replies lol.
