29 Sint-Lievens-Esse (now doesn't that sound nice for 3 streets in the middle of nowhere?) originally from Kortrijk, Belgium. Any other Belgians here? And where have all them flamin' Dutchmen gone :o? (sorry, was just thinking of Edguy's "All the Clowns"...) Rocket! Sven NP: Vertigo - s/t

Point Blank for me too, thankyouverymuch! Not that Fireworks is bad, PB is just better. Funny you should mention a cassette version of PB - I had one! Actually, back in the days, I had compiled a audiocassette of the tunes I liked best on a series of Headbanger's Ball shows I had recorded on video. Sounded like sh#t, but just to have those songs together on 1 tape made me shiver... It contained

If there's one ultimate classic melrock album (in worldwide popularity, not only among the people who come here), it must be The Final Countdown, no? Bon Jovi's not in there either... at least either SWW or NJ belong in there... And Bryan Adams' Reckless deserves better than that... Geoff, agree with your choice... Bonfire's live album is just plain awesome! Rocket! Sven.

Just d'loaded it & listened to it... Meanwhile my WinAmp is scrolling the name of hte band & the title of the song... Says TLPD (not gonna write it out completely doh!) - Sterre. I'm puzzled by that though... could be Andrew, the crooked little man we all know he is, changed the data of the mp3 before putting it out there... Also puzzled by the title... "sterre" is our West-Fle

I feel Europe's Prisoners in Paradise has never been appreciated as the killer album it is... > Warrant - Dog Eat Dog(their best album) Agree with you there! Monster album! > Slaughter - Revolution(the second best record) Damn, have to get hold of that one. Love Stick It and B2R, somehow TWL & FNE never stuck with me that much. Trixter - Hear! is also criminally underrated. I though

... is "Boys Cry Tough" by Bad Company. Don't know why exactly, just like it very much... There's also a song by Soul Asylum, "String of Pearls" off the Let Your Dim Light Shine album that strikes me time and again... Rocket! Sven.

Hi Eric! I propose that we arrange to meet somewhere next year ; that way we actually know who we're talking to here... Eric, t'es par hasard pas le gars au T-shirt des Damn Yankees? Tavas, ik (wij: mijn broertje was ook mee) stond(en) ook aan de kant van Bon Jovi... About that tracklist: I can't recall completely, as I didn't really know all the songs that were played (never heard the s/t a

Hi all, here they are: 1. I have 2 jpegs of artwork that I can't get to print correctly. All other artwork I had printed fine, but those 2 (1 of which comes from the MRX section) just always get fine white lines every 2cm. Anyone knows how this can be solved? 2. Was zapping around on TV last night, and wound up in an episode of 'Dalziel and Pascoe' on Holland 1. When all of a sudden I heard a

I can't believe nobody mentioned Gotthard's versions of "Come Together" and "Mighty Quinn" next to their version of "Hush"... I accidentally have my "UnderCover" CDR with me @ work, and it features these traxx: Blind Guardian - Mr. Sandman Avalon - Kyrie (Mr. Mister) Talisman - Frozen (Madonna) At Vance - The Winner Takes It All (Abba) Angra - Wuthering H

193. Shy
Here's another one hoping for a "Welcome.." II featuring Wardi.... That disc just totally knocked me off my feet, apart from the rather poor 1st track.... That was the version of Shy I really dig ; I did hear the Mills-Shy but that just ain't my kinda stuff. Not that they're bad, mind you. I just like the balls-to-the-wall full blown rock of WttM better... On 'Regeneration' you can hea

The genre where singers only know how to bark is called death metal... Or whatever. Let them go to a Slayer concert & call that poodle metal & see what happens :o) Rocket! Sven.

Exsqueeze me if I'm wrong, but I thought the song "Mr. Big" also featured on that album was a Free cover in the first place? 2 covers (Mr. Big & Wild World) of other bands on 1 band's cover album... Didn't they write enough decent stuff of their own? Rocket! Sven.

Adding to Nostradamus: - Tobias Sammett's Avantasia I + II - Arjen Anthony Lucassen's Star One project - I think his Ayreon albums also feature multiple singers - Leonardo: the absolute man (or sth like that)... - Peter Cetera's also done several duets... if he ain't too soft for ya... - Paul MacAusland (Haywire) on Harem Scarem's "How Long", though not really a duet, more a 'featured

Couldn't agree more on this... Saw the video for "Face Down..." and just had to have "Hungry". Needless to say I was blown away. Later on I heard "After the Rain" on some compilation, got the s/t in a trade, and was seriously disappointed. Maybe 4 decent tracks ; the rest did nothing for me... So I traded it away again... Er... Maybe they'll want to reconsider the album title??? www.k3.be (it's in Dutch, but somehow you'll find your way...) They're big in Belgium (very popular with the 4-14 year olds & probably even more with their dads :o) Rocket! (they do have 1 pretty rocking song per album...) Sven.

Hear hear! Let's be open-minded one and all! Great post, Notch! Although I think it's pretty normal one's tastes should always return to pop somehow since it's probably where just about everybody started from?? I really don't give a horse's, dog's or whatever arse about those distinctions in styles. For me there's only 2 ways: either I like it or I don't. Looking through my CD collection (vi
