Aaargh - too much music out there!! Too much good stuff that slips below my radar, dammit. Joe does indeed sound very good in this style of rock. This sounds awesome. As does the Kris Barras & Phil Lanzon (amazing!) stuff mentioned further below. Heard (and quite liked) the latest Heep, but wasn't aware Phil was doing solo albums on the side. So much music, so little time... Rocket!

Although I was never into Britny Fox, I liked Electric Rattlebone quite a lot. Any chance the 2nd album will be released separately? Rocket! Sven.

Wondering where to draw the line between melodic and other rock (but let's not have that discussion here :), here goes: - most genres that include 'rock' & crunchy guitars (hardrock, bluesrock, southern rock, progrock, folkrock, glamrock) - not into pure blues & folk & stuff. No country either. Westcoast - not really, because not crunchy enough. Chicago (the band) being the notable

I've had a few ringtones over the years: - Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah (shortened the organ intro to the last 4 descending notes, so I was warned about what was coming :o) - SR71 - Axl Rose - Andrew WK - Ready to Die (has the Nintendo-like intro & then kicks into gear :o) - Paul Gilbert - Norwegian Cowbell Have a new phone now & just the standard ringtone so far, so any ne

First LP: A-ha - Hunting High & Low (think the second one was Scoundrel Days - didn't really have too much money to spend on whatever then :o) First single: think that was Europe - Rock The Night. Remember playing the crap out of both sides (B-side was Seven Doors Hotel) First CD: Roxette - Look Sharp. Didn't really discover hard / melodic rock / metal until later... Rocket! Sven

Lots of good suggestions here, although in keeping with the "prefer over a well-received debut", bands like Live & Trixter wouldn't fit because both were huge improvements (Live on a song level, Trixter production-wise as the debut featured a couple of good enough songs but didn't sound right). Valid ones: Enuff Z'Nuff The Storm (although close) Thunder (even closer) Warrant

I do hope so ; couple of killer albums they have out... Just googled them, and from what I can tell they also have a facebook page that's still active & sth was posted just last week (can't see the entire thing as I have no need to punish the internet by having my face plastered onto it :o) Rocket! If it has to be stuff they play on the radio here, the list is going to be quite limited. Kiss only has the one song, same for Boston. Queen, there's a couply but no way are you ever going to hear Cinderella, Poison or Manowar on Belgian radio. So here are a couple of tracks I regularly go back to: Dream Theater - Surrounded .38 Special - Back Where You Belong Zinatra - There She Was Green

Narrowing it down to one is a bit difficult ; there's 2, really... First one is Alice Cooper's "Poison" - I'd asked to have that for Christmas '89 (I was 15 then...) & I got... Phil Collins' "But Seriously"... seriously. So the moment shops opened up again, I went out to buy Poison & played that for days on end... Before that I mainly listened to what was in the top

I really like the style the band has adopted with CdG, but I also really like the Mats Leven-fronted version of the band. Some real killer tracks on that '92 s/t album... The sound of that version of the band was also a bit harder. What came before that is pretty much a hit-and-miss affair to these ears, some tracks that can convince me, but quite a lot that can't... To each their own, of cours

My 2 cents: - As Within Temptation have been around for nearly 20 years ('Enter' dates from 1997...), I don't think they qualify as a 'newer' band... Sharon Den Adel does have a very decent set of pipes, though :) - I like it as long as it's not overly operatic... - Issa: as some have pointed out: very generic voice ; not quite my taste... - Devilskin - don't know them ; listening 2 some

In the last few matches, Argentina has proven to be the epitome of anti-football... Although Schwalbe is a German word, the Argentineans appear to be great fans of it... They got past Belgium with a lucky goal & past the Netherlands only with penalty kicks, and I’m not saying Belgium or the Netherlands played that much better, but what annoyed the hell out of me was that them Argentineans
