ha, i sparked a controversy! ;) Well, my fillers on Hysteria are definitely Don't shoot shotgun and Run Riot.....but just because all the other songs are SO good that these songs "seem" like fillers on an album like that.....Run Riot used to be a favorite for years, but, as i read in an interview once, even Joe said that these 2 tracks should have needed more "studio work"

Work it out is the only song that i don't like "that" much....but then again, this is pretty much the best DL album consistency-wise, as even Hysteria has 2 fillers..... as i am listening to it i can't help but wonder what could have had come from them musically, if they wouldn't have chickened out.... Def Leppard or not, this is just a honest album filled with killer songs....Where doe

...even without having the old album here to compare it i think they did a stellar job on remastering it....its amazing how much good bass playing and little bits and pieces are join on in the songs that i haven't noticed before...... In hindsight i wish they continued the SLANG route,...... after so much time has passed it really shows how strong each and every song on it really is....

A while ago i discovered classical guitarist Julian Bream....his disc "twelve etudes and suite populaire brasilliene" from 67 sounds just like shred guitar, but without its techniques like sweeping, etc that go with that...its really something like a revelation to me... Also there is a site called forgotify, it Shows only Songs that have 0 plays on spotify...i spent hours on it, disco

Every song that develops " a life of his own" so to say, is a good song..... It doesn't matter if its "The Touch" or "Yummy yummy yummy"", if it has staying power over decades, naysayers are simply wrong.......just saying!

After having his name pop up so often i checked him out on spotify....its a strange case....He´s a fantastic player indeed, i love the ideas he comes up with and his tone, while not the best i ever heard, is recognizable.... that being said, with his songs being very good, i just don't "feel it" so to say.....i feel like i am supposed to like his playing because its very close to wh

...but then again Def Leppard seemed to be the only ones being comfortable or "really want" that change, even if fitting in with the current trend might have played a role.....However, Slang always seemed to be a very honest and real record to me.... I remember buying and hating it for the change in direction...it gathered dust for about a year when i came back to it out of pure bor

Its a great album and so far this seems to be the best Deluxe Edition of theirs so far.... If they would have stayed on the Slang route for the albums after it, they´d have integrity nowadays for sure......because thats what is missing since Euphoria, as much as i love them......

i am psyched about that release - its my second favorite DL album and i am very curious about the bonus songs....IMHO up to Slang Def Leppard were still Def Leppard to me.....sure, since then they are still Def Leppard, but along the way the lost their edge that made them so great in their heyday, from Euphoria onwards (although i love everything they ever did) there´s the spark missing for me..

Mhm....could be some sort of harmonizer pedal or effect....its als akin to a slight sitar effect....Gotta admit that i cant pinpoint it...its a chorus effect for sure with the fx mentioned slightly added, i suppose......

Yes, too! But more or less i Talk about, if you make your backings as well...or it might be a quick solo, or a Full Band....theres alot of peoplebon soundcloud who just sit down for half an hour, record away, keep some sort of structure and come up with great stuff...

I was just wondering if anyone on here does this?? I love sitting down with a vague or no concept on what i am gonna do and just record away what comes to my mind.....after an hour or 2 i often end up with very listenable stuff.....maybe someone wants to share his sounds??? I´d love to know what others create "in that very moment" of conciseness, so to say... here´s a bunch of what

No, Laurent, indeed, it is not easy listening at all lol. Being such a Fan right now i even bought the current ECM Box Set....So far i am into disc 4 of 6.... Great and strange stuff so far and maybe a tad too over the Top for ones' daily listening, but still money well spend, as this will stay with me for years....disk 2 has to be the darkest music i ever heard....there is no metal that comes

Lately i am big time into Jeff Beck: guitar Shop, you had it coming and who else? are fantastic Albums, so is the track "the pump" Carla Bley - i wrote about her a few times on here already. "trios" is a fantastic jazz album, featuring the great Steve Swallow on bass. Actually all her albums are worth listening to, i L got "heavy heart" on vinyl recently, too. Her

I´d say, while i believe global warming exists, and man definitely adds his share to make it worse, i just can't believe that all the warming up is manmade.... To me it seems more of a scam at times.....you known, how 20 years everybody moaned about how there are less and less trees and they are all dying,etc...??? in hindsight it turned out, at least speaking for Austria, that around that time
