It is actually a good album...much better that Hear In The Now Frontier and Tribe - still this whole reissue/remaster thing is definately out of hand... How about some bands catalogues that really NEED the remaster treatment being done...RATT come to mind..some of their discs sound pretty damn average (and I'm NOT talking about the music hahahaha)

riffola your words are indeed words of wisdom! Thank God Europe don't sound all keyboardy thats what I say! Lots of strong riffs, melodies and vocals. Exactly what I want to hear when I buy an album. If every rock band put out albums this good then I would've bought more than 12 releases this year!

Again I must've got a different download because mine doesn't seem to suffer from a shortage of memorable songs or have vocal effects on every song!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats the beauty of the new Europe sound it IS modern (no doubt!), but as jrnyman28 said "not uncomfortable. Some killer tracks and plenty of guitar!" not to mention the superb vocals and songwriting of Mr Tempest. I couldn't resist downloading the new cd and it will be purchased on the day of release coz its a masterpiece IMO.

Damn fine release for sure...managed to pick it up REAL cheap here in Oz and was very pleased with it. The best individual COT albums for my money are the debut and Lost Cathedral.

The two samples sound great to me...very much looking forward to hearing and of course buying the whole thing. I think Start From The Dark was by far THE album of 2004 and possibly the best album so far this decade. If it really is "disappointing" I may cry into my pink fluffy slippers!!!!!!!!!!!!

So after these remasters are out teh boxset is pretty much obsolete (assuming everyone buys all the remasters!!) except for a couple of instrumentals, the Fleishman song and Perry singing Good Times...

Great band and typically downtrodden on this board of elitist goofballs because of their success.

Saw them in May last year (5 shows) in the UK and they were simply phenomenal..great bunch of guys too. I might even be tempted to jump on a plane and do it all again this year. Their latest cd "On The Line" is a gem too!

I'd seriously suggest it is very much as good as the melodic AOR of Crazy Nights. Crazy Nights is easily my favorite Kiss album for the songs you mentioned alone...

So in typical blinkered fashion Kiss fans think that Paul Stanleys album is teh only album in the world that hasn't been leaked. Well when it comes out on 24 September see if these lyrics are on there> Frustrated, Degraded, Down before you're done Rejection, Depression, Can't get what you want. In a bed, In my room, All wrapped up in my own cacoon In my head, I see yu, like I'm stuck in a

AEROSMITH BON JOVI QUEENSRYCHE MEGADETH JUDAS PRIEST VAIN UFO JEFF SCOTT SOTO AND BAND THIN LIZZY (SYKES VERSION) SOUL SIRKUS EUROPE D.A.D. to name a few....all nice to varying degrees..some out of professional obligation..others just genuinely nice! Recently the guys out of QUEENSRYCHE were way cool and when I was in the UK last year the guys from VAIN, UFO and EUROPE were all phenomenal.

Having lived with this album for months now I can't wait to see who wrote the songs...I'm betting Dianne Warren is involved on one of the ballads and all the usual suspects! Definately the most mature/classy album anyone from Kiss has ever been involved with.

I dont think so unless you call Nickelback melodic rock.....sounds very dull to me in a post grunge kinda way As you can see I didn';t say they sound like Nickelback but they definately tread the same sort of ground... ie DULL!
