The band's first three albums are easily their best - 'The Birthday Eve', 'Law Of Devil's Land' & 'Devil Soldier' - but sadly they aren't available on CD outside of Japan.

Gotta say, as sad as this obviously is for everybody involved, I am really surprised that a band of Harem Scarem`s long standing were naive enough to think that they could get away with performing without working visas. This is something I have to deal with on a regular basis - indeed, we are bring GPS to Japan for a couple of shows in mid October - and although the band will earn little to nothi

Actually, the two Rockpalast shows are offcially available on one DVD. Must add my approval, `Iron Age` kicks serious butt. Was lucky enough to see them play a few great shows in the early and mid nineties and at one point was in the middle of negotiations for Dan Reed to produce an album for them....now, that would have been something!

And this goes out to all of the up `n coming shows, Andrews big day as well... If, as we all agree, one of the biggest problems is the cost of getting to these shows, why not web cast them and charge the viewer to watch them? They can be done live and then repeated allowing the purchaser to pay one price for two viewings. Now, those that genuinely are unable to get to the gigs have no excuse to

Its a good album, not outstanding but well worth a CD release. Had it in my head that they were a Christian act.......

Firstly, a little respect if you please. Lingy is absolutely not adverse to paying to see a band he likes - Ieve seen him do it! - and all those of you who complain about how little your favourite style of music gets to be covered in CR...well, that little bit is Dave`s doing. The music matters to the man. As for his comments re. JSS, that`s all they are. His comments. Feel differently? Put yo

Well, this is a real shock - I was talking to Jay Schellen about this only last week and he knew nothing about this then. I can only assume that the band knows nothing about this at all...

Bring it on, I say - in the current climate, there`s no room for record stores. The sooner they are a thing of the past the better for everyone involved.

Make no mistake about it, the Mail will have paid a pretty penny for this. Factor in mechanical payments and publishing owed on this and Prince is almost certainly making back what he would expect to see on any retail sales. In short, it is a stroke of pure genius.... Let me explain something to anyone here who has yet to figure this out. The industry is in nowhere near as bad a state as everybo

This coming Monday June 18th marks my 25th anniversary in the biz. On that morning in 1982, I walked into the offices of Pinnacle records in Orpington, Kent and took control of the fledgling Music for Nations, Neat and Roadrunner catalogues amongst others. Little did I know that 25 years later etc. etc. So, to commemorate the fact that I have (just about!!) survived this quarter century, I am an

As someone who has invested similar sums - and more, I might add! - in bands over the last few years, I can completely sympathise with you here, Andy. Forget everything else for a second, common courtesy is whatfs missing here. The standard gag that does the rounds from time to time is how the music biz is great but itfs just a pity about the musicians. Now, as daft as that sounds it is wort

So, how would selling it cheaper work? That would mean that the label would have to admit that the record they were releasing was sub standard in some way. Can you see that happening?

I remember sometime in the mid eighties Dave Dickson doing a piece for Kerrang! on Billy Idol and the entire piece was about Davefs problems getting across New York City to do the interview...and failing! If memory serves, Billy Idol never actually featured in the piece but it was absolutely brilliantly written and very entertaining...definitely more so than had he actually spoken to Billy Idol

Donft be daft, its light years better than the Kerrang! review. For a start, its a review - he actually says something about the songs and talks about positive and negative things about the cd. The fact that he doesnft feel the way you do about the cd is not relevant, he has at least reviewed it.

I have no issues whatsoever with covers albums as long as they are done well, the chosen tracks are interesting and that the performances on the record tell you something about the band playing them that you perhaps didn`t know or didn`t appreciate before. check out Stevie Salas and his `Electric Pow Wow` album for Stevie Wonderfs `I Was Made To Love Her` with Glenn Hughes singing for a perfect

Absolutely, positively, 100% 24 karat pirates. Stores here in Tokyo are full of them and they all acknowledge the fact that they are pirates. Shipped win with pirates of all of Hurricane albums and all from Greece. BTW, let`s get our terminology sorted out out here. These are pirates not bootlegs. Bootlegs are previously unreleased live or studio recordings whilst these are counterfeits of legit

Oh dear, oh dear..... Say what you will about Manowar but they`ve never been boring. Laughable to some, but never boring.... Rush, on the other hand, have become the embodiment of all that`s turgid and boring about corporate yuppy rock. Horrible.
