Out of interest, does that mean you’re listening in mono in each room?

Unreleased, new track from Kris. A tremendous player, board members might like his John Kilzer’esque voice. Great song too, from the upcoming new album. https://youtu.be/sRSM-z4Lq6w

Some would say playing clubs, meeting fans without charging them, often doing acoustic shows the same day etc is working it.

Nor gigged for many of those. And there’s the issue; Arnel has, rather like Steve Augeri, been run into the ground. Hence why the band feel the need to currently have other folk singing various songs live.

Agree entirely. Funny thing is, JRNY have effectively done the same thing on vocals and some on here are up in (open) arms.

I’ve seen them live and they make a grungy, Sabbathy din. Really like this track though.

All the haters? 20 or so folk on FB counts for nothing. As for the band, the worry is they’re 5 albums in now and they've created so few memorable songs. They seriously need some outside writers. And I guess that’s what this is.

Absolutely. Puzzling that we're surprised that a vocalist almost in his 70s, can’t sing as he did in his 20s. What a legacy he has created.

Such a great voice. But there are few rock bands that have had such longevity, despite writing so few of their hits/signature tunes.

Always sounds to me as though the songs are just beyond the singer, in this band.

Absolutely. And it would be simpler and cheaper to fly in the extra instrumentation with tracks rather than musicians, but backing vocals aside (they still use Perry's), they don’t.

Truth is how do yo7 perform those songs, in that register, without the iconic licks and phrasing fans are so used to hearing. Imagine DSB without the ad-libs etc. Reality is if they had a vocalist who stepped away from those original vocal lines, we wouldn’t tolerate it…

Not one they often play. A nightmare to sing, interesting that it’s keyboard player Derlatka performing it. And a reminder of what a monster Schon still is as a player. https://youtu.be/0dJ3UaOnQf8

After 50 years or so of rock music, there are no unclaimed riff or melodies - certainly not in terms of traditional instruments. The killer question after the huge wave of music we have all enjoyed over decades, is what could any act come up with, that we haven’t heard before? It just can’t be done. Add in the fact that may of us were in our formative years when we discovered rock (wh

From last night's set at RBCS. One of the first songs the band wrote, and unfamiliar to many, it’s one of their greatest creations. Listen for the clever keyboard 'siren' refrain on the choruses. A staple in the band's set when they began, inexplicably it was missed off of Indiscreet. Also, there are very few vocalists performing their 35+ year old songs like this live. https://y

The vast majority of touring bands play to a click. Creates consistency every night and the band plays tighter. Usually triggered by the drummer. As well as the click there may be a track with some enhancements too. Very common.
