not much melodic rock-wise steve but the soundcellar, nassau street always carries a few titles - all new & bit steep price-wise. second-hand there's plenty - freebird on eden quay; city discs, & borderline in temple bar. theres a second freebird store in temple now too. for metal there's sentinal {also in temple bar.} the georges street arcade has 2 second-hand shops also. & on wickl

yeah they always got lumped w. the christian tag but i think a band who has the balls to wear it deserves bonus points. they never seemed to get the flack the others do in the media though. LOVE trouble, grooviest riff writers ever. period! kings'x is my fav. too. check out supershine, a project w. bruce from trouble & dug from kings x from a few years back - just lke trouble w. doug pinnick

the new album is worth the purchase price alone for the main riff on track 6 - "halo." alsolutely killer stuff! 10 tracks of pure angst/rebellion/@!#$ the system/etc. does wear a bit thin in fairness after a few spins. but jesus halo is one of their very best tracks since the early days... - mozz

€100 kieran? €69.50 plus the usual ticketbastard "handling fee" makes them just shy in €76 or £50. rip-off still though. & with marley park over the southside of the city they should be offering a discount of encourage us real dubs to travel across the liffey! -mozz www.myspace.com/mozz74

yeah i love the furyon EP too. again the first 2 nos. outshine the final track IMO. the lead run chris does at around 2.25 on "the one" is incredible. pride of course were absolutely fantastic & i had the pleasure & honour of bringing them over to dublin for a show in june 2004 - what a gig! and the tales on the nights piss-up beforehand in fibber magees are still oft spoken o

yeah highly recommended. they do some class covers of metallica tunes in spanish flemenco style. particularly worth cheking is there version of metallica's instrumental masterpierce "orion." they've lived here in dublin now for a no. of years now. anyone know for certain if they are brother & sister, married, or even related in any way? was always curious... - mozz

fairly sure donnie or chip ain't involved in this one. chip is supposed to be touring w. adler again! donnie's been solo this past long while & i believe has pretty much given up on touring since he got married. ricky parent still recovering from colon cancer. that probably will leave johnny monaco on guitar/vocals {good guitarist but very poor vocals} & vik foxx on drums w. a guest bass

some very unfair & inaccurate comments there re. glyder. wait til you've heard the full album & caught the live before slating them. & jesus everyone is sick of the answer comparison! glyder is to 'lizzy what the answer is to 'zepplin. other than that & the fact they're both irish the similarites end there. stupid to say one is better than the other {if you prefare one to the othe

yeah bruxelles is ok but can be choc full of "more metal than thou/poser wannabe" types esp. at the w/ends when it can also be ridiculously overpacked. bar staff can be crap as best sometimes w. complete inability to take more than 2 orders at a time & deal w. the no. of customers in general. seriously you can be waiting ages for a pint! weeknights be my recommendation when you can
