Always hoping for more, but thankful for what we got. And thankful for what we're getting with The Defiants and TMF.

Can't say I noticed much of a difference, either.

My setup is handling both, although I haven't plugged in my Blu-ray player in months, so we primarily use the setup for music (CD, streaming) and streaming video. I have an old Pioneer VSX-822 5.1 receiver, Denon DCD-800NE CD player, two Pioneer BS22 bookshelf speakers, a Polk CS1 center, and two SVS Prime Satellite rears. I'll be upgrading the receiver when new models come out later this year, a

I believe at least some of the sets are being livestreamed? I don't know if it's going to be the entire bill or just those select bands. I saw a post on Facebook about it, and the M3 site mentions a few bands on the stream (Night Ranger, however, will not be doing it).

Thanks for posting this, I meant to do so when the news broke. Been going for almost 20 years; the metal section was top notch. I picked up a few things yesterday and will definitely be stopping back again before the end of July. I don't think I've ever seen it so busy in there. Sound Exchange in Wayne is another good one, but the organization isn't great and used CDs cost way more than they s

I saw The Wildhearts cut their set short due to sound issues. Disappointing to hear as they're my favorite band. Did that happen with any of the other acts?

2019 was a great year, musically, for me. Personally, it was an extra-extra large shit sandwich, which is why I'm happy to take the music 2019 brought. Backyard Babies - Silver and Gold Candlemass - The Door to Doom Danko Jones - A Rock Supreme The Defiants - Zokusho Dream Theater - Distance Over Time Insomnium - Heart Like a Grave Killswitch Engage - Atonement Michael Monroe - One Man

I visited here yesterday and opened this thread along with Andrew's review. Saw the thread first and lost all interest in hearing the album. I saw maybe a paragraph of the review before moving on to something else.

I don't know about any of you, but my music streaming app (Tidal) only shows me a fraction of music I might be interested in. So the only way I know about upcoming releases that are actually of interest to me is through these posts from adolfo. Thank you!

I came here from Metal Sludge to get away from the toxicity over there, even though the music discussed on both forums isn't exactly the same.

My problem as well. It just sounds like a generic band, with Johnny singing over generic music that I don't identify in the vein of Double Eclipse. DE has that vibe where you want to drive around in the summer with the windows down and a smile on your face.

Ripper and James Kottak? In the same project? They could have had advertised on OAN or Fox News.

My wife would ask me to! I'm waiting for a Marantz CD6007, which will hopefully arrive before COVID-20. I don't have the space or budget for a decent turntable, with or without the preamp. Mostly, I'm also not sure my favorite hair metal albums are going to sound any better on vinyl compared to original or remastered CD.

Boggles my mind, too. I also don't entirely get the vinyl resurgence myself, as much as I would enjoy the larger artwork, I'm not gonna toss my 400+ CDs and start hunting down vinyl. But cassettes belong in the trash.

I've been meaning to A/B some of them to the originals, but it looks like I dumped most of the original albums after I got my RC remaster version. The only original I have is the Saraya debut, and that remaster was done by Bad Reputation. Has anyone compared their version of Warrant's debut to the original? I hate the sound of the original album, but since tinny and quiet was the production s

They were only talked about by other artists. Bon Jovi during the Cinderella and SKid Row stuff, and I don't recall when Def Leppard came up. That was odd, too. Maybe the authors wanted to spend more time on bands that didn't come out as big as those two. Although they did spend a good amount of text on Guns n Roses.

Finished it last week and really enjoyed it. Can't say I had a problem with the paper quality. I don't know the percentage of old and new interviews but that doesn't really bother me since it was all collected in one place and topics generally had a good flow between the different artists. Surprised to not see so much about Tesla in here. I think that's the one omission that stood out to me. I

I went back a few pages to the previous topic but didn't want to poo-poo the mood, but I didn't like it. Her voice sounds buried in the mix and is overpowered by the instruments.

Agreed. Streaming has turned me on to so many bands, while also allowing me to listen to so much more music than I would have if we were all solely relying on retail and 30-second clips.

The article says that chart is purely physical album sales, not streaming. 26k seems pretty shitty for a physical product at #1. Maybe it's the pandemic, or the decreasing number of physical stores. Or even it being on a smaller label. Can't say I'm a fan of his music and the few tracks I did check off this one didn't impress me.

It was a great show, and nice for me as an American to have a chance to see them "live". I know it was recorded and obviously mixed and edited, but it sounded great through my stereo thanks to all that work.

I bought the deluxe over the hi-res standard download just to have the extra tracks. Haven't gotten around to listening to them yet but if it's like the main album, I'm glad I did.

Doesn't bother me as much as when the claws in the center hole are broken and the disc just slides around, or a broken hinge in the case. Even flipped printing on the spines bothers me more.

Someone wondered if BR licensed the album from the French arm of Capitol, but Benny said it was never originally licensed for France to begin with. I don't know. The Bad Reputation remaster sounded fine to me, but I've only listened once and don't have the original to compare to. Considering copies in good condition are more than $30, I'll take my BR copy. I own a few releases from them and they
