I had no idea that Dave had suffered so many older age health issues. Billy was very accepting and polite to an obviously different version of the Dave that I remembered. I always liked Dave's contributions to the kinks. Most of those Dave penned songs came on their 80's and later albums. They never sounded like his brother's penned songs and that is why they stood out to me. Critics always hated

A massive Lindsey Buckingham production which has so much variety with the multi- lead vocalists. You know the MTV hits. Here are some deep tracks: "Isn't It Midnight" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYkslCXJMGE&list=OLAK5uy_ltA3wQe8DfNCg5SYYAl9EEBAkuSAcWtyI&index=10 "Family Man" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0voH4cU4ck&list=OLAK5uy_ltA3wQe8DfNCg5SYYAl9EEBAkuS

I was disappointed that Beato played samples and discussed every Brown produced Rush album except "Signals". One of my favorites.

I really want to get into this one when I have the time. I have heard some reviewers saying that the first couple of tracks are not very immediate. After that, it gets pretty solid.

I knew the story of his involvement with Kiss. I am so glad he did not get accepted. His work with Mr. Mister is outstanding.

I would love to come to an intersection and be next to some1 in a convertible blasting That song! lol. I would immediately stop traffic and go to your car and ask if we could go and get a beer.

I have to admit that the only band listed here that I know of is the Alarm and I really liked that sample.

His first 2, "Face Value" and "Hello, I must Be Going" didn't really break him big but he carved out a pretty solid solo career at this time. "In the Air tonight" was played on FM and MTV but it did not become the ultimate classic until a few years had passed. "No Jacket Required" broke him big big time. I like a lot of it and yet it kind of sounds dated to

I was looking at Phil Collins' discography being that he is going into the R'N'R Hall of Fame this year. I was interested in his production work. I will be posting a new thread shortly about his solo albums. This album had him producing the ABBA singer's first English language album and playing his very recognizable drumming on most of it. This is a major classic even though no one remembers anyt

1988 was the time of big hair metal and massive Mel-rock stuff. I always had a split personality in that I loved heavy GTR stuff, but I also loved newer synth pop type of stuff that MTV was introducing me to. Thomas had those big hits from his first album and then faded from view. His record company must have been pulling their hair out being Thomas completely changed his sound with every one of

I had no idea about that "X-Files" fact. I tell people how much I loved that show and yet I have no memories of it outside of a few episodes. I really would love to find some1 to introduce it to and then re-discover it with them.

When Geddy describes the making of "Vapor Trails" you can see that he is close to breaking down.

Back in 1989 I was 23 and this album was the soundtrack to my 1989 summer life. So many great memories. And yet this album only sold gold and was the beginning of the Outfield's commercial downfall. I have posted this one before. This one is so special to me that whenever summer comes around in the States, I dig it out and smile being it reminds me of those great younger years memories and I have

pjs, I had no clue about your health issues. I hope everything has gone in your favor. I also have had health issues, and I use music to try and lesson the blow. "Wolf" is a great album! The Kinks Ray Davies was involved with that one if my memory serves.

I just do not understand how this album of such high quality can come out, get a lot of love at that time and then disappear and have zero shelf life. This is a massive Mel-rock album that has so much GTR mind blowing work that you shouldn't even care about the fact that he wrote "Owner of a Lonely Heart". If this came out 20 or 30 years ago, we would still be talking about this and lis

Preacher, the previous album before "Shacks", "Native Son" is a winner. After "Shacks" they went through some major line-up changes, and I thought all of the albums after "shacks" were a letdown.

I have to admit that whenever I post some things that I think are obscure or unknown, I usually have a few beers in me being that without that liquid courage I feel that everyone will think that my suggestions are dumb or irrelevant. Yes, I suffer from some anxiety. lol, but the truth. Glad to see that some board members have connected with these. And the Heep album "Wake the Sleeper" i

I am so going overboard tonight posting things that I have already posted on the board years ago. This is another one. I could not post most of these songs from this one years ago being Peter refused to release this one and anyone posting songs from this one had them immediately pulled down. Now that Peter has allowed this album to be released, you can hear all of the songs from this amazing albu

A weird band that I discovered in the Columbia House cut out area of their catalog. I consider this album a hidden treasure. They have that Jangly GTR sound that was popular in 1992 with a massive shiny production and a southern rock feel. They also have a big Cheap Trick influence. I love playing this album whenever I am driving down a highway to a long-distance destination. Not a bad track on t

Terry, I wonder if you have a vast knowledge of human psychology. I know I do from experience and research, but no one would call me an expert being I do not have a degree on this subject. I completely understand your comments on Trev. Having watched his interviews where he has explained why this band broke up, he really comes across as sincere and I wonder if the 2 other band members were threat

I have been seeing all of his high-profile performances and interviews, and I thought how great he seems to be and how he respects a lot of the music we love. I also think that his last album sounded fantastic. And yet I feel as if I am too old to get on board completely and I feel silly having a younger artist, who is almost always shirtless, on my dashboard. lol.

I am so confused with Trevor's career. I know he is a massive talent, and I love the fact that there seems to be some hype whenever he is involved with a new band. But every band he is involved with seems to implode before their 1st album is even released. I hope this reunion and re-release of this band's album has some staying power.
