I posted about this album maybe a year ago. Frampton had YouTube take everything down for it and I could not post samples. He absolutely despises this album and I wonder if I would present my very expensive Japanese remastered copy of this to him to sign and see if he would throw it back in my face. lol. I just do not understand his hatred for it even though I understand that the record company w

Don, when I decided to post this I kind of thought that maybe I had already done that in the past, but my old man brain could not remember if I had. lol. Like you say I am glad if something from the past that has been mentioned before is once again brought up, I would hope newer members or members that missed the original posts might find some enjoyment by these newer posts.

My question is who the hell is representing Jefferson Starship these days? Will they play the 70's stuff, or will they play the stuff from "Freedom at Point Zero" - "Nuclear Furniture"? My favorite era.

Released in 2010 on Frontiers when they were producing top quality things from former big time Mel-rock performers that had been forgotten by all of the mainstream outlets. I always found Brian's Bad company albums to have some amazing songs, but I found the albums as a whole to be falling into the plodding, same type of sound thing that did not keep my interest. I believe Andrew gave this one a

what a joke! What would Frontiers make by releasing these things by themselves? $3.42? Frontiers should be in bed with Andrew being the members of his board are their bread and butter.

I had no idea Horn produced them. This song will probably make it into my holiday playlist from here on out. Thanks! Seal making an appearance surprised the hell out of me.

I believe there is a best of that includes both his hits with the Raspberries and his solo stuff. A must buy. I have no idea if there are any complete albums from start to finish with his former band or solo that deserve listening.

I find these Frontier project type of things that include some major talent to be kind of generic. It sounds good at first listen but then it just gets to be the same Ol same Ol type of thing and gets forgotten about very quickly. The classic bands you mention were not perfect but yet they oozed personality and style from the members involved and they were not trying to recreate a sound from the

Just about every physical thing that could go wrong with my body has happened in the past 2 years. Amazingly, my hearing is still top notch even though I subjected my ears to extremely damaging sound waves over the years either at loud concerts or playing music with my headphones on at very high volumes. I am almost afraid to acknowledge this fact being with my luck I will wake up tomorrow and di

Yes, they were the hot chicks in Prince's "Purple Rain" band and appeared in the movie and videos from that soundtrack. They struck out on their own as the duo "Wendy and Lisa" in 1987. I feel their debut is a great, strong album that showcases their super talented musicianship and can be appreciated by some fans of Toto's late 80's stuff. Wendy Melvoin's bass and GTR playing

A big fan of the band and I like this performance. Maybe there is room in the current version of the band to include her? I believe Bruce has his son in the lineup so why not Kirsten?

I am posting this because I really think that the Christine songs from this album were so over the top perfect, no pun intended, that they stood out as the highlights and made this album an underrated classic. Ignore the spoken word introduction by Mick. lol. "Skies the Limit" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTkQ5lG4Sv8&list=OLAK5uy_leJIDvdYaWsnQCbaZjiEnOlSBwMD07mmw "Save Me&

Had an older colleague of mine take me to see them last year at a small theater and I enjoyed it a lot. They use a lot of background slides, movies and lights to make the performances stand out.

As a prog fan I have tried so hard to connect with this band and outside of a few songs I never seem to get it. I will try really hard to see if this new one moves me.

Steve Lukather's "The Gospel According to Luke". I have no idea if it is still in print, but it is a great history lesson of Luke's amazing life told with a serious dose of his fantastic vulgar and sarcastic sense of humor.

"The cosmos Rocks". Yeah, I know this does not fall into the real Queen catalog, but I had high hopes for it being the talent involved. AKOM is my vote for worst even though there are a few great songs on it. "Hot Space" does not appall me as much as everyone else, but I do understand how it made serious Queen fans vomit. lol.

I have to admit that I sort of had a crush on Christine when I was first discovering the joys of Fleetwood Mac back in the day. Everyone else was crushing on Stevie but I thought Christine seemed to be more down to earth and grounded. Just my type. lol. I am very sad to see that she passed today. Her song "Everywhere" from 1987 was recently featured in a Chevy EV commercial and was get

Seeing jason the buc's previous post about this new Simon Collin's band EMolucle, this triggered my memory of Simon's previous one-off project from 2013 called Sound of Contact. A massively great album of Mel-rock combined with prog. I know this kind of stuff only has a select few from the board appreciating it. I think it should cross over to other doubting folks who hate the word "prog&quo

Produced by Richie Zito even though it has a much rawer production from what he was known for. Cats in Boots vocalist Joel Ellis on vox. Released at a horrible time for Mel-rock. A fine album with very tasty Hoey gtr. performances. "The Hand That Feeds" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W54s8UUBqAc&list=PLxbqUDOYzXF8gXmWo0W-0mAB2Dfrc74cv&index=1 "Turn It On" https://

Regardless of what you think of this version of the band, the musicianship is so ridiculous and then you see them jumping around and having such high energy that you can only wonder how they managed to play that stuff while doing very physical, acrobatic stuff that would have collapsed me after the first song.

I thought my radar was pretty good back in 1989 picking out unknown bands' CDs from the cut-out bins and reading obscure reviews from obscure magazines. This one slipped right past me. Another great find from a member of this board.

His opinion of this one is spot on. I would have been harsher being I expect so much more from Sammy and the talented band members in the band. Sammy's output for the last decade or so has been so spotty and disappointing. He is just throwing anything at the wall and hoping stuff sticks. I wish he would sit down and really focus on making a solid album from start to finish like "Ten Thirteen
