If this is done right and with the proper members this could be a major winner.

The amazing acts that have come out of Australia and New Zealand have been right up there with the iconic stuff of the U.K. and the U.S.A. Why have the elitist critics, I.E. Rolling Stone and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, not acknowledged this fact? I know some of these dudes were not natural born citizens but relocated to these territories in their youth. So let's point out all of these uber t

I am not really a fan of stuff that is rooted in blues-rock so this did not intrigue me. But hey, his last 3 or 4 albums have been nothing but top notch.

I know some folks on this board are fans of some stuff that are a little bit left of center of what passes as Mel-Rock. This band was a 120 minutes type of band back in the 90's and I really liked their 2 most popular albums: "Soft Bomb" and "Submarine bells". For people who like "jangly guitar" type of Alt-Pop. Here is a sample from "Soft Bomb"- "Back

The topic below this one is what triggered my memory of this band. 2 albums in the early 2000's. In a perfect world they should have been huge. Here is a sample: "King Of Hearts" from the first album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwY0IqieDCk

The "All Shook Up" tour was my first concert experience when I was 14. UFO opened. I loved "All Shook Up" but my peers at the time all hated it. I think their best albums post "Dream Police" are "All Shook Up", "Standing On The Edge" and "The Latest".

Forgot about this one when the earlier discussions of Power Station and The Distance were being discussed on the board. A big fat production from Bernard Edwards puts it in2 the same category as the previously mentioned albums. A discussion of their debut would probably be a good topic for a future post. This one came and went without a peep in 1986. Here is the title track. https://www.youtube.

It is just so sad to me being John Spinks was cursed with a rotten disease and then Tony recovers from that loss and begins a come back years later and then suddenly it all goes to hell. We all know life is unfair. And yet Keith Richards lives on! LOL.

The fact that these dudes and 1 Dudette are aware of this song speaks volumes.

This time of the year always reminds me of some of the greatest songs that connected with me when I was a music loving sponge that soaked up the best mel-rock at the time. The summer of 1989 was when I was completely addicted to this album and this song. A slight switch from the previous 2 Outfield albums, this one was more slicker and less punchier. Whenever I play this song to an unsuspecting l

Yeah or something more embarrassing like some weird sexual thing or drugs. The family should have just lied and said it was a natural death.

I have tried and tried and tried to connect to the second album but still like only a few songs. the first one is a classic flaws and all. It is sort of depressing knowing everyone involved has passed with the exception of Andy and John.

This just goes to show what a gold mine those tapes in 5150 really are!

Being a big Hodgson fan I have read a lot of interviews and he has said the singer position was offered to him. But he had absolutely no interest in being the "new" singer. He would have liked to form a new band with Rabin but nothing was ever pursued outside of their song writing collaborations.

I was a big fan obviously from my screen name. It is such a secret and I do not understand why the cause has not been disclosed. I have researched it quite a bit and there is nothing out there to even suggest what the cause was.

I posted "Walls" from Yes last week and pointed out that it was a Trevor Rabin/Roger Hodgson co-write. When Anderson left Yes after "Big Generator" Hodgson was approached to replace him. Rabin and Roger wrote a few songs and agreed that it was kind of special but Roger did not want to be the new singer in Yes so he declined. He released this song on his solo album "Open

One wonders if his supposed friendship with Alex is for real. It is kind of bizarre that no one mentions the fact that the greatest guitarist in modern history has passed.

I wish they would turn 5150 in2 a tourist attraction like they have with Paisley Park. I know 5150 is much smaller but give out tickets at a first come first serve type of event!
