I'm no expert on political spectrums but the Democratic Party is in no way 'Hard Left' which for most would be associated with strong socialist traits. I'd say at 'worst', from my observations over many years, is that the Democrats are very soft left. But there in lies part of the problem with politics in the US, the narrative (supported by vested media interests) portrays a very different pictu

No country can 'throw stones' because we all have our own politicians who leave you feeling either grubby and/or ashamed that they 'represent' you. But ex president Trump is a cut above in all sorts of ways and my abiding hope is that the Republican party grow a pair and get full sail behind Ron DeSantis. Neither the USA or the world needs Mr Trump's brand of jingoism.

WAS has a habit of upsetting the apple cart in terms of unbeaten teams (the then 11-0 Steelers last season). Shame that we have an apple-cart of an organisation (although hopefully Mr Synder will soon be on his way) as there is a very decent football team fighting to get out!!! The Defence is top 10 and the WR/RB corp is blossoming. And whilst he'll never get elected to the HoF, every team needs

Try being a Washington fan, Terry, as I've been since 1982 when we started getting regular coverage here in Blighty! Those glory years under Joe Gibbs seem (and are!) a long time ago now. But I'm revelling this morning in the glory of clipping the wings of those rowdy Eagles on MNF!!! ;-)

A quite extraordinary game with some of the best WR play/catches you will ever see. On another day Stefan Diggs one hander would be drolled over. But then along comes Justin Jefferson!!!!

Well said Heartlinecastle. Trump and Johnson (either personally or those advising them) are savvy operators who know that there is a sizeable element of the voting public who want to hear that you are going to bring (positive) change to their lives. That, combined with the general disillusionment with the then current political class/system, increased the likelihood of them being elected. Tha

Firstly credit the band's management and promoter for venturing to the deep south west of the UK. Most would get nosebleeds at the prospect of going past Bournemouth or Bristol! On the back of the Eric Martin thread,if you get the opportunity to see these guys on their current tour don't pass it up! Last night the good folks of Plymouth were treated to what you always get with FM; great songs an

Nothing will change until ideology, dogma and vested interests give up the ghost. Which very sadly means that the cycle of mass shootings, outcry, heartfelt intent and further mass shootings will continue into the foreseeable future

I'm more with you, Daredevil. It's a nice song but I certainly wouldn't describe it as a 'killer ballad' (IMHO). Am looking forward to hearing the whole album though and hope it delivers as Steve Augeri is one of the good guys who deserves success

Senator Ted Cruz' 'answer' to another mass shooting at an education facility? Beef up law enforcement services. Presumably so they can in future take out these individuals when they are spotted heading to carry out such a heinous crime? The outpouring of incomprehension (from the likes of President Biden and Steve Kerr of the GSW) is how societies should respond to such barbarity. But as has been

I am generally a half glass full type of person and look for positives wherever I can. But that song has very few, if any, redeeming elements to it. Given the 'single' status of it I expected at the least a catchy chorus. Sadly it is one paced throughout with almost nothing to lift it above the very bland and ordinary.

Absolutely respect your opinion and life would be really boring (and music crafted in a very limited way) if we all thought and liked the same things. But I absolutely LOVE this album!! I don't claim to have an encyclopedic knowledge or rock or have the biggest CD collection (I defer to my mate GEN13 on this board on all such things and for a ridiculously sized music collection!) but AOR/melodic

I feel the same way about Bowie as I do the Stones. Huge respect for their longevity in the music business, and what they've achieved, but the music itself doesn't particularly float my boat

Spot on Rocknut on your assessment of Tall Stories albums, his involvement with Tyketto and the Arrival album. And he's a thoroughly decent chap from what I hear.
