Very balanced and interesting article. Thanks for sharing. Clearly it can and does work in bigger/outdoor venues. The difficulty is for the smaller bands (many who we follow on here!) who earn a crust by playing venues such as The Garage and Underworld (in London). Too small/intimate/indoors to be able to impose social distancing and get enough people in to make it anywhere near viable. Roll o

Hi Andrew, I don't post very often but I have been a 'disciple' of MR.com for a good few years and would just like to re-iterate what a number of fellow devotees have already stated. This forum is an oasis for all of us that love melodic rock. And through your reviews, and the recommendations of others on here, I have discovered wonderful music that would otherwise have passed me by. So thank

Another velvety smooth, and killer, ballad from BE. Such a shame that it never got to grace an album ;-( Thanks for sharing. Adrian

I think we would be hard pressed to find another band that only put out 2 albums which were as strong as the 2 by BE. I bought both back in the day and whilst the debut rightly gets lauded I probably enjoy listening more to Backlash now......although it's VERY fine margins!!! ;-) Adrian

Protest, and demonstration, is absolutely justified and required on the basis of the policeman's excessive use of force (and consequence). The behaviour of some though in the wanton destruction of property, and stealing of goods, has no justification and sullies what others are doing lawfully

In adversity the best and the worst of human nature is magnified. In the Borough where I work a 17 year old school boy has set up a voluntary organisation to check on vulnerable people, such as those self isolating, to ensure they have everything they need. And then you have those that are unable, or unwilling, to think about anybody other than themselves.

I'm with you on that Andrew. Native Son is a monster of a ballad/song that always get the volume cranked up when it gets played in the car. My favourite song off what is a great album. Adrian

Yes, Terry made reference to new music/touring with Strangeways during his London gig last Thursday. He sounded quite categorical about it. Hurrah!

Just a quick shout out to these 2 stalwarts of the AOR scene. Caught them on the 2nd night of Terry's mini tour at the Hope and Anchor in Islington on Thursday evening. A more cozy setting it would have been hard to find but it was perfect for an acoustic evening. Steve (Newman) and Shaun opened up proceedings with a fun filled hour of offering of songs from an extensive back catalogue which put
