I think Pete Collins and Jimbo Barton done a fantastic job on the production side of things. It is a concept album and the guys were seen as progressive metal so that may be the reason you feel its 'mechanical' IMHO, its just amazing from start to finish; but songs like EOAS, Anarchy X, The Mission etc are just FLAWLESS. Simple as You need to listen to it again mate!

Its about bloody time!!! If any of the competition had beaten him it would have been a disgrace Alice is the MASTER. Many congrats to the MAN himself and band members past and present for making this happen.

The new UC album is very very good, maybe not 99% but a QUALITY release nonetheless. I am at a loss re all those people who have slated this album. It is a quality AOR release.

Correct! Everyone has different tastes but not going to slagg off any of the bands on a public forum. AS i said they made the effort to come, and Kieran et al booked em. I maintain its a festival and every band will not please everyone, and there was a couple on there for me that were truly boring, and very very bad

my thoughts on EMPIRE ... its so close to perfection but the only thing that stops it is the truly awful 'Della Brown' ... it slow, ponderous, and down right boring : ( Perfection for me comes in OPERATION MINDCRIME - Queensryche (Flawless from start to Finish) Empire is SO CLOSE yet so far with Track 4 killing it for me, but still ranks as one of my favourite albums of all time disagree wit

Just to say a big thanks to Dave Meneketti and the guys for coming over again to our wee spot and putting on a great show last night. The band were in good form last nite and Dave was the old professional putting his stamp on things Highlights of the nite were Forever, I Believe In You, Black Tiger, I'm Coming Home. ROLL ON 2011, when they promised to be back! Best wishes to Phil etc as well

1. Alice Cooper - Trash - back in 89 this is what started me off into the scene! 2. Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime - FIRST CLASS 3. Queensryche - Empire - more musical brilliance 4. Metallica - Black album - got me into the heavier side of rock/metal 5. Dream Theater - Images & Words - wow!

Stone Sour has come up trumps BIG TIME on this record. Holy cow, really am enjoying it. Really loved the last album but this one is defo an intro for more of the melodic listener. It still rocks but a great intro to a band for those who may not like the backgrounds of the members. I for one cannot stand Slipknot but Corey Taylor in SS is a different person for sure. I have been listening to SS

Hi I have to agree, to these ears the new Heart album is pretty decent. Yes its laid back and is still miles away from their slick AOR days but one thing is for sure you dont get bored listening to these 2 ladies sing! Defo back on form for me and not a dull album like a lot of people say it is. Needs a few listens for sure to get the best from it
