The celtic sound is almost gone in this album it's only slightly in the song Until. Other than that it is business as usual for Darren Wharton, like the last albums. My favorites on the album are I'll hear you pray, Strength, Days of summer and Along the heather.

Don't expect any return to late 80's AOR, Vinny's guitar injected a little AOR-ish blast from the past but no dramatic changes happened. The new album will appeal to the fans of the new Dare era one more time, the sound is similar to Arc or the remake of CBTS. Is it a great album? Sorry to break the "grave digging" spirit of the thread but I liked what rocknut was bringing on a music basis in a music forum. His internet persona (I cannot speak for the man) was a bit over the top sometimes but for me it was a nice "spice" that any forum has, business as usual that is. Website owners/forum administrators do as they please and that is an unbreakable law,

It just doesn't have the songs like the first part had. The production is there again but still... They should make one album with a duration of Audio Secrecy and it would be a masterpiece rather than splitting it imo.

Corey Taylor has a very melodic voice when he wants to and again like the previous albums in one song he comes sonically very close to our genre. It's actually a Lita Ford cover if you wanna be correct. It's good, I expected better. The thing with the original song is that it was based on its atmosphere and that's why two mediocre voices did it justice back then. In the new version the structure of the song cannot let the 2 much better voices to shine, especially Lzzy, Drainman find more room to do something different vocally.
