Great song. Richie, JBJ and Desmond Child wrote it for Cher for the 1987 album they produced.

For me personally Faith comes in third behind New Jersey and These Days. I love it and as many have stated Dry County is just superb but I don’t think there is a weak song on the record.

I like all of them. I love Stranger. Undiscovered Soul and Aftermath have some great songs but are a bit patchier I think. I even like the RSO album he and Orianthi did.

3 incredible vocalists. Bland, uninspired song with zero hooks. ADV is a wonderful guy, and very talented no doubt, but enough already Frontiers.

Sadly most things released in recent years. I enjoy them momentarily and then it is back to the classics.

Really? Wow. For this style I have always thought Joel’s voice was phenomenal. He shines here and on Cats In Boots. To each their own.

I picked it up on it’s release as well and I agree, not bad but not great, although it does have a couple of great tracks and Kenny sounds fantastic in it.

Actually it was co-written by Max with Jon and Richie. Luke Ebbin, Jon and Richie produced it.

They do seem to be a Nickelback kind of band with it just being “in” to hate them. It is all subjective, as you said, and no doubt much vitriol will be cast upon them on the thread but for me, can you compare their post-2000 output with their pre-2000 output? No. It is not even close but I do think there are some great moments on all of their records. And whatever you may think of their music

They have plans for next year what with it being the 40th anniversary of the bands formation. A new box set, a tour, etc. wouldn’t surprise me if Richie showed up somewhere along the way.

Agreed. One of the best live voices I have ever seen.

I think they had an idea going into it but back then Jon would often do things like that and while, particularly in ‘95 on that tour, he usually messed around with that part on Always, he never really stuck to any one thing and each recording you watch of that song from that time period is different. That is why I think there was some improvisation there.

I was watching the Bon Jovi Live In London 1995 show and that version of Always is by far the best I have heard them ever do. The bridge where Jon and the band improvise and change it up got me to thinking about any other times a band has done that. Any other examples where a band has improvised on a song in such a manner? Bon Jovi - Always

I am glad you are enjoying it but, for me, I find nothing that impresses me about it personally. Vocals are annoying and musically it sounds nothing special.

I like it. I like Cassidy’s music. Not for everyone here but it is refreshing to see young people excited and still going into the rock genre instead of the crap that is on the radio.

I said Jerry was a pioneer and a talented guy. The “bit of talent” comment at the end was speaking in broader terms about celebrities in general and how we often put them on a pedestal regardless of what kind of human being they are simply because they posses a talent that puts them in the spotlight.

A pioneer and a talented person no doubt but a fairly horrid individual from all I have ever read on him. “Funny” how we raise folks on a pedestal simply because they possess a bit of talent.

Is this another situation perhaps where he does not own the masters or rights to the original recording and so he can not re-release or remaster it so he is recording it over again so he owns the material?

Recently I saw on stats for Spotify that one of my top genres was something called Nightrun. This was a new one to me and since I was curious I looked it up. Apparently a lot of our genre is referred to as Nightrun in some circles. Artists such as H.E.A.T., Dynazty, Kissin’ Dynamite, Groundbreaker, Creye, etc. are supposedly part of this genre. I recall my end of year wrap last year on Spotify

I have wondered the same thing as there are help wanted signs everywhere here in the Eastern part of the US also. It is like half the workforce disappeared. Garbage and recycle pickup sometimes have to skip a week because they say they don’t have the manpower to cover their area. Fast food joints will have two or three employees trying to run the whole restaurant, etc etc. Food is certainly

I pretty much abhor Grunge, but it did not kill anything. Music is cyclical, always has been. The hair bands and arena rock of the 80s had it’s day in the sun but that day was up and they were on their way out regardless. If it hadn’t been Grunge it would have been something else that came along.

There is a certain site out there that caters to Mel Rock and he actually has the audacity to ask people to pay HIM for stuff too. Pretty darn certain not a cent is going to any artist involved.
