After those 80s albums,I would get hold of Sleepwalking and Rockart....but especially Sleepwalking,a much forgotten classic!

I've got the Now and then pressing, and it's a stunning record which still gets a good airing every few weeks.

Eclipse was his best album.....I can only wonder what it would have sounded like with Mr Soto doing the vocals. Unfortunately, nobody cared....I can vividly remember him playing at the Kings Hall in Belfast on this tour and he was kicking out his guitar picks past the 4 rows of people .....whoever's booked him in that place needed shot!!

Pat mcmanus wrote the tune and rewrote it to become 'Waiting on a miracle 'off the Growing up the hard way album. Miss Fox recorded the original one,and as mamas boys were on the same label (Jive) played the guitar on it. Didnt She go out with Paul Stanley at one point??

Slave to the grind is a classic of its genre...really heavy and melodic. Sub human race is dreadful trend chasing shite....I bought it the week it came out, played it twice, and it's been stuck on my shelf for the guts of three decades!!

I totally agree with Paul. I went along to the first night of the tour in Belfast in two minds, as I loved Queen as a kid and quite liked their last gig I seen of them..17 years ago with Paul Rodgers. Without, any doubt, the best sound, lighting and production of any rock show that I've ever seen.....tickets were pricey, but you can tell that a lot if wedge has been put into this show. Lambert was

I reckon Ian last the lions share of his range in the mid 90's......everything after that seemed like a bad version of a 70's Gillan. But,to be fair,it cant be helped.... Not everyone can be Glenn Hughes!!

That's true ,to a certain extent.....but the last great Maiden show I saw was at Graspop festival in Belgium in 2005. The whole Powerslave album and nothing after 1986!! Lovely!!

I can remember Simon doing support for my band in the Rosetta bar in Belfast....he used to come with his dad and play to backing tapes ....and everyone's jaw hit the fucking floor! He must have been about 13 at the time......and now he's in Deep Purple. They are lucky to have him!

A superlative record from a fantastic band. Pat Gribben played on a session for me and a mate of mine at a local Belfast recording studio a few years ago.....a great guitarist who can play anything, and a lkvely bloke. They reform the odd time for local shows now and again..here's to the next one!

Theres no doubt that Hughes voice is the only one out of any major rock vocalist that hasn't withered one iota...maybe with the exception of Paul Rodgers (Who,while being a great singer, hasnt really been a favourite of mine.....I'd much prefer Coverdale in his pomp!) They've also borrowed a lot of their style from black singers....Perry from Sam Cooke and Hughes from Stevie Wonder.

To be fair ,I've never really seen what is truly great about the likes of Gramm,or even Steve Perry. None of them are fit to tie Glenn Hughes' shoelaces!
