Maybe "Sub par" is a bit harsh. For another band, the album would mostly be a career high....its just comes down to the fact that I dont believe the songs are a patch on those on Escape or Frontiers. I cant remember the last time I listened to it,yet I've listened to the other two in the last month.

You dont have to work at it to be great!....you can also work all the spontaneity out of your band. Lowy is living his dream of playing with top notch players and touring the world, and if I was him I'd be doing the exact same thing. It also doesn't harm that their album is one of the years best!

I've never liked it.....a great band with its balls cut off and it's as much a Perry solo album as 'Street Talk',with Perry given free reign to indulge his Same Cooke fantasies. The songs are sub par,as are the rhythm section.

I've tickets for Geoff Tate and a Kiss tribute for Belfast in October, and I'm contemplating getting the ferry to Liverpool to see the Dead daisies on Halloween night. I'm double jabbed and have decided to adopt a realistic approach to gigs and just continue as before.....This has to be lived with, its as simple as that.

Tracks from flat out and Hughes/Thrall were featured on a compilation album called "The rock machine still turns you on" put out by Epic records in 82. I bought both albums the next week....a good day!!

The self titled 1991 album,Last of a dying breed and Vicious Cycle would be the best of the bunch, imho. This opinion may still get you shot in some of the southern states, but ive always thought that Johnny was a far better singer than Ronnie ever was. If you dont believe me check out his Johny van zant band debut on polydor from 82,or even better ,the classic Brickyard Road solo album.

I believe he did tour the Feel album in 95....as I remember he cut his hair very short and had a band featuring a geordie guitarist called Dave Paton who used to play for Neat records Van Halen copyists Hellanbach.

The self titled Harlow album featuring the amazing Teresa Strayley on vocals and future Kiss man Tommy Thayer on guitar. I've always loved this record and was sorry there wasn't a second one.

A fair point, though I found it to be an entertaining show.....But! No Robbo, Downey or Sykes A very classless depiction of the circumstances of Phil's death.....Why did it not mention that Jimmy Bain fled the scene of his death,in fear of getting arrested. Every dog in the street knows that Bain scored Lynotts heroin for him,yet have chosen over the last 36 years chosen to ignore this informat

The fact that Tommy isn't recognised by the hall of fame says it all about this organisation of arseholes and shysters. Shabby and devoid of value are words that come to mind when talking about Mr Wennerd hall of arseholes!!

The only real decent man in the Stones,it would have to be said...not a hint of the rockstar about him. Also,I believe, tho only one to stay with the same woman, while the rest of them ravaged the world!

I've professed my love for all things Tommy Bolin, on this site, many times. He has always been my favourite guitarist of all time and Come taste the band is my favourite hard rock record ever. He was a genius on the guitar with his unsurpassed tone, phrasing and individuality.....nobody comes near him,in my book. It's truly stunning to think what he achieved, particularly in the three year span
