Hey all, You all know from my antique posts that my team has been dealing with the virus front and centre for 19 months now. Today - well...We once again have all beds full, all ventilators running 24/7 and are back to losing patients of all ages. We are all adults and make our own decisions. I'm just reminding you all that sadly this "thing" is back in town, if it ever went a

True dat Preacher Dude. Loss to the genre agreed, but I remember seeing him say on a chat show "I used to make terrible heavy rock albums that five people bought" and I did find that a harsh thing to say

I know the Judas Priest box set has 42 CDs (they remastered the remasters?) but that price tag is a hefty £345 pre-order. I know their marketing wombles will have sussed the demographic of their fan base, but really? You want people to spend all that, AGAIN on the same stuff people already bought on vinyl, then CD, then remastered CD, then deluxe anniversary CD?? The extra stuff is also gigs

Yes in my opinion. In an ideal world, I would still have given it a much larger, glossier production and sparkly mastering, so sonically in places it does suffer a little from 'boutique label budget production' but the material and musicianship remain completely outstanding, and the vocals, are heavenly considering the debut is 40 years+ old. It's FAR better than the second, shelved album as

I got my per-order in the mail 3 days ago now, along with my promised autograph card :) And so...What can I say? The Danzi Dude has managed to create the album his loyal fan base always knew he could. And guess what - it's superb. I love it. For those of you who might have seen odds and sods about it elsewhere, then I would urge you to buy it and listen to the whole piece - it's a concept al

The documentary is superb Chris - filmed in lockdown (natch) so they are all spoken to individually, buts all there, even the stuff about Andy Ward and Jonathan Mover. Buy it while you still can if you EVER cared for this album. The live stuff has been available for forever, though admittedly they have enhanced it with enough studio gubbins to exponentially improve the separation etc.

Hey Andrew... Been on shift all weekend (we have more Covid patients than anytime prior to March just now) and only just got to listen to the electronic versions from last night onwards. So... I was meaning to play the first CD and get to bed. I didn't So you owe me about 5 hours sleep dude lol. It's WONDERFUL mate, and my only regret is that I couldn't afford the super deluxe version For

Bad For Good far outweighs any of what has come after for me, in all it's clunky glory. Bits of the music or full songs have reappeared in various forms and in various places everywhere from "Tanz Der Vampire" to Celine 'Gnashers' Dion, and never been equalled let alone bettered for what my opinion is worth. Pandoras Box is exactly the same, though collectively I'd lose "Dance I

far too sanitised for me mate - I LOVED RJD, but when I saw the lack of width of the book, and the emphasis on the very early years, I realised it was likely to be a bit of a whitewash and it is. For example, the Blackmore stuff...cloaked in references to his genius and a passing reference that RJD thought RB was basically shy and socially inept and then moving on. We all know the issues with

I agree 100% - FAR superior having assistance in the vocal dept from a human than some machinery of any description. I saw Jethro Tull when they were using a young chap with a background in musical theatre and they were awesome, as Ian Andersons flute, guitar, mandolin etc abilities are sublime, it's his vocals that are shot. Sadly the next time I saw them he had taken back vocal duties and

"Night Songs" is slightly better in the mastering, but the rest are subject the usual and much lamented 'loudness wars' having (to my ears and Hifi equipment, been run through some kind of automated process. There is less obvious background noise in places, but to be honest, if you already own them, I'd say save your pennies. The bonus tracks are nothing interesting, the packaging is

I have seen it as a review copy. There are some killer bits in there, but for me, far too much time is spent on art house shots of empty stages, glitter balls, guitars on wires spinning round, bass strings, Dublin in the rain etc Some fascinating interview snippets, including Caroline, his daughters, etc etc, but a lot of 'art for art's sake' overly clever colourful shots, and a few bits of V

a decent quality Rage show on DVD would be immense as would any quality copy of the Unplugged show Mr Rocknut Sir - if you could ask around for me, I'd be grateful and will obviously reimburse you for your efforts. I have both new deluxe box sets for her birthday, so she will get "Building Empires" etc, it was specifically Tokyo 84, a Rage show and Unplugged I was chasing as Fleabay

Hello all. My god daughter, who has been brought up to appreciate 'our' music has developed a sudden interest (read: obsession) with the original Queensryche, so I am obliging her in everything relevant I can get my paws on, however, I can't find a quality copy of either Tokyo 1984 or Unplugged on Fleabay, or anywhere else for that matter. YouTube has a rather muddy transfer of Tokyo 84 and a

Sorry, should have been clearer - Financial debacle - I read that it lost substantial quantities of money, and they didn't sell anything like the number of e-tickets projected, not even in Japan, let alone actual physical attendees on hotel balconies. Hence I expected them to put out a fairy extensive package to recoup - like the Vegas box set but probably larger, that would include all the a

I used to be a HUGE Kiss fan...these days, not so much... They are obviously saving the big push for the next big revenue stream. They recently tested the waters with the "...first..." of a series of official bootlegs in brown cardboard packaging to see how the fan base reacted... Can you believe they didn't release some enormous CD DVD / Blu Ray box set of the Debacle In Dubai??
