Thank you guys so much for the kind words on the new album and for supporting the band in our new, decidedly more melodic direction. We took a lot of chances this time around and messed with the formula substantially, so it means a lot to get the support of forums like this especially on one of the greatest sites on the web! Best, Jason Icarus Witch

Had it a while now and I agree with what Andrew said (mostly). The musicanship is wondeful but the songs are just not there and for me the weak link is Gary himself. Sorry to fans of Extreme but I don't think you'll like this CD, give it a try brfore you buy is my advice.

'Adagio' by Lara Fabian, it was on the radio when I was coming home from the hospital just after my Dad had passed away, and to this day it cuts me up if I hear it.

For me it's another solid album by Ten. Though that is about it, songwise it doesn't sound different from any other Ten album (exept for the wonderful Dennis Ward production), so you know what you're going to hear. For me it is a good CD but I think far from the world shattering release many were expecting it to be. Review unbiased because I neither love or hate Ten.

The words World Tour usually means 1 date in a London venue just so they can say in interviews that they haven't forgotten their loyal British fans.

He was a great comedian and also he was in one of the all time great science fiction films - Forbidden Planet, he will be sadly missed.

Got the reissue yesterday, and in the liner notes Mike says that a new Steelhouse Lane album for 2011 is a distinct possibility.

A good read with what I was expecting to be in it, in it - again my only criticism the price at least £3 to much.

Michael once said in an interview that the reson he dropped the hard rock music, was because of all the promises he was given over Everybody's Crazy. His label and management team, told him that EC would sell millions and make him a household name and that he would be the next big thing in melodic rock, it didn't , he wasn't. So according to himself he tried a slightly different style on The Hun

Again why compare the new album to one that was released twenty odd years ago. Enjoy the new album for what it is, an enjoyable melodic rock album.

Lorne, whatever you might think about Tommy and his playing, Jimi thought he and the band were amazing and was truly amazed at how well this put together band played during his Firefest set. To say he was buzzing after he came off stage would be an understatement, great guy and so is Tommy.

Terrible news, my thoughts and prayers go out to his Family and friends. Another great loss to the music world. R.I.P Steve

Well I like it, OK it isn't the album I was expecting but it is also not as bad as it's being made out to be. Paul wait until you come over next time it's going to be a Glenn Hughes day . . . LOL

Good reissues but I still think the remastering of the sound when finished is way to quiet, the Rock Candy stuff at least has balls. Still you ain't gonna get this stuff anywhere else, so I just turn the volume up a bit.

Wouldn't Bon Jovi be a bigger draw than Foreigner and be the headliners ?

Well Paul I tried when you came to visit but you still don't get the magic of Glenn Hughes.

How about the first 14 or so NOW & THEN releases so that we can replace our bronzed duds. As long as they aren't to expensive.

It only affects the Now & Then discs that were made by PDO which I think was the first 14 releases. If your discs are OK then you've been lucky but any bronzing will continue until the disc is unplayable, so back them up.

This apparently was a well known problem with PDO manufactured discs and there used to be a helpline so you could replace your discs. Though now that the company has been taken over they won't change them.

coco do you by any chance have the AOR giveaway that Dave and Derek Oliver did for kerrang called I think, bands that time forgot or something like that. It was like a pull out feature that built into an A-Z of AOR melodic rock bands and was essential in tracking down loads of obscure AOR bands that you may have missed out on. Lost mine years ago but I'd still like to see it once again.

I once interviewed David Prater who told me that the mastering of an album was the most important part of an album's production.
