Grown on me after a few listens. The pre-chorus sounds like another song I can't put my finger on.

I'm gonna disagree about Jon being unlistenable after KTF. He's fantastic on These Days.

We Weren't Born to Follow Superman Tonight Love's the Only Rule Learn to Love Only songs I really like on it and none are top tier Bon Jovi. The album is not very good, and the production questionable.

Like these people are obviously talented but I find the production of their stuff to be completely obnoxious.

Love love love the album. Dyin Ain't Much of a Livin' is also a highlight. Justice in the Barrel is the only clunker, though it's not horrible. You Really Got Me Now is very derivative but it's fun anyway.

I love Extreme's debut as well, but it seriously suffers from cringe-worthy lyrics. You can hear moments of what they were going to become though, and Nuno's guitar work is just out of this world. There was a HUGE jump in quality in all areas from it to Pornograffitti.

It's funny you mention that first Firehouse album. Yesterday I heard Shake & Tumble and I started wondering how one would describe the production on that album. Sonically, it didn't sound like anything else at the time. Not necessary "great" sounding, but not bad per se. The guitar and drums sound pretty huge (though the snare still sounds very 80s) and cymbals/high-hats soun

Shakin Like a Human Being is easily his most consistent album from start to finish. After that probably Akimbo Alogo or Rockland. Love KM but his albums tend to be littered with filler. But SLAHB is his most consistent IMO.

Even The Weeknd is going for the sound on his new album. In Your Eyes https://youtu.be/E3QiD99jPAg Blinding Lights https://youtu.be/fHI8X4OXluQ But he's always had the 80s synth and Michael Jackson influence happening.

I agree with some others about Blood in the Water being alright. I could DEFINITELY do without that "Russian hack" lyric though. I feel like Do What You Can would be a really good song with a better vocal and less on the nose lyrics. Just zero subtlety. But the melody is fantastic IMO which makes it very listenable which I guess is compliment for BJ nowadays lol. I also don't min
