Their previous stuff hasn't blown me away but this is a remarkably good album. New singer is great.

Ironically enough Romero sings one of the best tracks on the album ('Sail the Darkness'). JLT's 'Sangria Morte' is pretty decent too. Schenker's playing throughout is excellent.

Love Richie Galdieri's voice. He used to be in a very cool NJ band back in the day called Americane that I loved! Featured some of the Sect. 8/Bone Machine guys too as I recall.

Possibly the fact that Delp might have had his hands tied (so to speak) by Scholz contractually. Scholz (who let's face it, loves his litigation) probably wanted to preserve every element of the Boston sound, which included Delp's voice, for as long as he could. Also, Delp may well have 'only' written (or co-written) two songs on the debut (plus two on 'Don't Look Back' and 'Third Stage') but t

A quick Google image search points to the Sara in the photo being based in Spain, and is a fitness teacher. All looks very dodgy to be fair... https://www.facebook.com/PopFitSara/

The new album is very strong. Aside from the two tracks mentioned, 'Bird of Prey', 'Transcendence (featuring Brittney from Unleash the Archers), 'Steal My Crown, and the epic 'The Time Traveller' (featuring Lance King and Matt Barlow) are top quality.

Not even close to being better than the original. They're all so busy over playing (especially Virgil) that they stomped all over the essence of the song. Dino has some voice though...

It was first recorded by a Danish singer, but the song was written by the singer and guitarist of Ednaswap. They recorded it for their debut. All three of Ednaswap's albums are really good, as is their 'Chicken' EP, which was released between their first and second albums (different labels). The EP featured a shorter version of 'Torn' as did their second album 'Wacko Magneto'.

Mats Leven's version of Queen of the Reich has always impressed me. The guy is an unbelievable talent, super nice guy too. Opeth/Talisman's Fredrik Akesson on guitar too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XABuwUGacM8

The whole thing. It's very good. Standouts for me being 'And Then Goodbye', 'Lonely People', 'Need to Believe'... but it's great to hear Steve's voice on something 'new'. Such a talent.

'Strength...' was ready to go in '92 on Geffen, the label did go so far as to ship promos out (I had one) but then they dropped the band. Maybe radio didn't hear a 'single', who knows. Music For Nations ended up sticking it out in '94 but of course by then, no-one really cared for that kind of music. It did OK as I recall (in Europe at least) but nothing startling. 'DCE' was a great record, altho
