I never knew the Headpins reunited with Chrissy Steele on vocals! Guess Darby Mills didn't want to come back. Chrissy's 'Magnet To Steele' always gets a spin every so often from me. https://youtu.be/o3kFR1oiseA

Someday perhaps many of our favorite bands will simply hire musicians to go out and play their music for the masses and simply kick back in their ancient years and reap the further benefits. There's no reason to not believe Coverdale would do such a thing one day. Kiss has been deliberating the same for years or even have multiple bands criss-crossing the world for the fans to hear the mu

Well, there's the other story of how Peter Grant and Bill Graham ended up feuding. Someone who worked for Graham slapped Peter Grant's son because the latter wanted to take a sign (presumably something LZ), allegedly Grant & John Bonham nearly killed this guy for it and it ended up Grant & Bonham getting arrested but let go for lack of evidence they did it.

Artists are for the art, managers are for the money. You know that deal where Jimmy Page, Chris Squire & Alan White were going to form a band called XYZ (for eX Yes & Zeppelin) but fell apart because Robert Plant was still broken up over the death of John Bonham? The other factor would have been who manages such a band...Peter Grant or Brian Lane? 2 such massive egos obviously could

--- I was late to the previous Asia conversation but I figured some may find this interesting so re-posting under it's it's own post. --- Yes, an American band called Asia! The supergroup's manager Brian Lane was aghast these plebians wouldn't just hand over the rights to the name Asia and actually wanted monetary recompense for their trademarked name! It's a fun story and I own the 2 on 1

It's a fun story and I own the 2 albums on 1 cd version of their 2 albums - 1979's Asia and 1980's Armed To the Teeth Induction into the South Dakota Hall Of Fame https://ww

I thought this was going to be a song with just bass, drums & vocals at first but Love Walks In is an underrated song. 5150 overall is a very strong album.

Always wondered if Perry regrets 'taking control' as some lead singers feel the need to do. Raised On Radio is just so...it's not on the level of Escape or Frontiers...or hell, even Arrival which I think is a fantastic record with Steve Augeri. I recently re-read the Journey history book and let's simply say former manager Herbie Herbert never really had good things to say about Steve Perry.

MTV at first buried the 'Welcome To The Jungle' video showing it once a day, if you were lucky, at an early hour because MTV were at their 'being assholes' phase before they decided they were too good to show videos all the time. People at Geffen had to push hard to get it played more and at normal viewing times. Imagine the landscape today if Geffen had decided it wasn't worth the push as so

Real shame but he does say he & Joe will continue solo albums and his main focus these days is paying off the lawsuit he lost to Jeff Porcaro's widow. https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/steve-lukather-theres-not-gonna-be-another-toto-record/

Only all girl group (not from Japan otherwise Aldious, Scandal, BAND-MAID and Mary's Blood would count) I like more than the Bangles are the Donnas. Sussanna Hoffs is a great singer, really knows her range and the trio of albums with Matthew Sweet are must listens. I love her's & Sweet's version of Yes' 'Your Move' as much as Tommy Shaw's version on Shaw/Blades Influence.

Also glad to see a more affordable version of his signature Les Paul. Thought, thinking Gibson, it would be close to $3000 USD even if its an Epiphone as the real deal is close to $5000 USD but someone told me it's $899 USD but not sure how many bells and whistles are missing from this one.

Growing up with MTV the only song I ever heard from him was 'Wouldn't It Be Good' which presumably because of the wacky video content and not the song itself.

How 'My Paradise" wasn't a huge hit is flabbergasting. Also like 'Part Of Your Life' and 'Reach out' Maybe someone can do some remasters one day. One catch will be They switched record companies and not sure if its all under the same umbrella these days for at minimum the first 5 albums on major labels.

Don't know either but glad the Baseball Boys demos & Final innings were released to close the book on the Outfield, a band that rarely got the respect they deserved and more than just a one hit wonder.

I had thought Gil Moore had gotten the rights back on all the albums for his TML music group. Also, it was released via Virgin in Canada and Victory only in the USA. No idea if it ever got released worldwide.

I enjoyed Yes - Talk. I remember it being 1 of 3 cd's i bought on former Atlantic executive Phil carlson's Vicotry records with ELP - Black Moon and Triumph - Edge Of excess. Oh boy, Triumph's Edge Of Excess. I thought the songs were ok but there's your Yes argument rearing its ugly head. Is Triumph sans Rik Emmett still Triumph?
