Hey Danny, Glad to know you're doing well and safe with your couple, despite this shit around us with the pandemic thing. Here in old south Europe we've been living like in a Dystopian Dick novel, for almost a year now...I personnally had to stay home for more than 3 months last year, only going out for shopping food and drugs, I mean legal ones LOL hahaha... Looking forward for your new a

Hi folks, Great album, no doubt about it! - However, what happened with Scott Craig??...he was not invited this time...I think the songs miss a bit of his terrific sound...just my humble opinion. The new keyboard player is very good, BTW. Cheerio.

Hi folks :) Here a great fan of the band since the Woodstock era. LATC is a very fine AOR album IMHO, but sadly was also the last installment of the band, and you can read here all the story behind it... :'( http://ultimateclassicrock.com/starship-mickey-thomas-fight/ Cheerio. Catman.

Hi folks, Many spins after, I can report my very honest and humble impression on the new OOTS album. The mix sounds a bit muddy to my ears, as some of you have already pointed out, and they put vocals and guitars upfront (logic, as the singer and the guitar are producing it!) to reinforce the rockier and modern sound of the record. However drums and keys have suffered for being placed a bit too

Hi folks, Been listening to the mp3s on the HH website for a while, thanks. Now I just wanted to point out that I like the heavier/ rawer sound in general as the original OOTS was a bit too dull for my taste, but I don't like at all how they mixed Darren's voice!...it lacks something in the reverb/ EQ dpt I guess...here is where when you really notice the main difference between a record made i

Yep, seems Geraldo played everything but the gi...the voice, I meant! LOL This is quite interesting as it shows the duo could still deliver a decent album if they decided to...about the song, not my cup of tea, her voice has aged a bit, but it's still pretty decent. Good luck for all americans, let's see what happens now. :)

Hi, Same here where I'm living in Spain. In my city there's a famous rock station called "ROCK FM" ("very" original name BTW...), that use to play the same bunch of predictable classics that you don't want to hear gain in your life!!!..in fact, I created a FB users group to notice that.... I knew they pay for rights bla bla but come on, there are tons and tons of other goo

There's nohing hyper than having a major investing in you and a big gun producer as Olsen on board. Even if budgets started to be restraint in early 90s, the "savoir faire" was still there, and above all, somebody that worked as en effective filter when choosing the right songs, arrangements, etc... Cheers.

Hi folks, I totally subscribe most of your thoughts here. The scene is not what it was back in the heydays, and won't be anymore, fact. Why? because we have what I call a "perfect storm" over the music business in general, I mean, there are many forces that are putting down the industry, not only the MR genre. I copy down a very interesting link that I found on Neil Kernon's wal

IMHO, we're just missing the main ingredient to every great album : songwriting. The songwriting was terrific in the first two albums and then, went going samey on each new issue... The differences in style came more a producers/ company choice, than from themselves I guess...Larry Klein (more poppy) to Keith Olsen... I adore this band, and I've seen them live, people's reaction varies a l

Hi Scott, from Scotland? haha, funny. There used to be lot more shops back in the past, but they all slowly closed down due to all the bad reasons we knew, crisis, internet piracy etc... Here you'll find a nice google map with the remains, inside this interesting article, if you ever read castillan. ;) There are some more specialized in rock etc, near the Ramblas. http://www.elperiodic

As a keyboard player myself I don't think the problem lies in the keys Dpt, but has a lot to do with a very moody mix, instead...there's a wall of sounds going on but not in the Phil Spector good way, to me...drums are a bit too "addictive drums" if you know what I mean... The song is good, and Harry seems to still be in top form. Need to hear more material now. :)

Workman has a strong voice, no doubt about it, but FM hits from the 80s are more than catchy! these are INFECTIOUS!! ;) Anyway, glad to see AOR is still alive & kicking. Cheers, Catman (the one & only).
